AMAZING Experience with Ultimate Kilimanjaro What an amazing experience! Ultimate Kilimanjaro is absolutely the best guiding company out there. Their team made us as comfortable as possible, were willing to allow us to deviate to see other things (caves, waterfalls, etc.), and kept us safe. The porters, cooks, guides, and staff were amazing and really made the experience incredibly special. I highly recommend them!!Another thing to note, we saw many other guiding services on the mountain and the "comforts" they provided. I was not impressed in comparison to what we received from Ultimate. From the tents to the food, Ultimate Kilimanjaro was incredible! Big shout out to our guides and our fearless leader August - they were amazing!

10/10 experience with Ultimate Kilimanjaro! I booked the 8-day Lemosho Route with Ultimate Kilimanjaro and it far exceeded my expectations. The entire team was professional, personable and prioritized the groups' safety on the mountain. Our guides, August, Philbert, Michael and Ambros, were hard-working, cheerful and extremely knowledgeable. They truly created a sense of family among our group and kept spirits high, even during a tough summit attempt. A big shoutout to our chef, Reggie, for the delicious food and to the incredible team of porters for metaphorically carrying us up the mountain.As a young solo female traveller, I cannot recommend Ultimate Kilimanjaro enough. An experience of a lifetime!

Ulitimate Kilimanjaro - Outstanding. Exceeded Expectations. We did the Mt. Kilimanjaro 8 day Lemosho route with Ultimate Kilimanjaro. The entire crew - Guides, Cooks, Porters. were all simply outstanding and could not have been more helpful. The pre-climb preparation videos on the Ultimate Kilimanjaro web site got us very well equipped and prepared. Ultimate Kilimanjaro simply went above and beyond in all aspects - they even baked me a birthday cake at over 13,000'. I highly recommend Ultimate Kilimanjaro for your Mt. Kilimanjaro trek.

Excellent reliable safe and expert means to the summit. Accept no substitute!! There may be an even better tour company to take one successfully to the top of Kilimanjaro, but I'd be extremely surprised. What could such a company possibly do better? If it is skill and experience, UK has it in spades. If it is excellence of the tour leaders in my case the incomparable Augustino, one could not hope or expect for better. If one looks to the quality of the support team, (porters, cooks, tent men, toilet porter and so on) how could they have done a better job? And importantly, that excellent, cheerful, hard-working team showed at all times a genuine concern for all those westerners they took under their collective wing to enable us to achieve the common aim. To succeed and summit and to do so safely. This superb team led by the indefatigable and multitalented Augustino provided our group with the best of all possible experiences, indelibly etched in our memories. All the administration was impeccably done. Importantly, very importantly, all the porters and staff were paid accordingly to best practice and tips were transparently divided in front of their representatives and us. So, perhaps there is an even better tour organsier. But very difficult to see how anything at all could be improved. As for price, this was the best alue ever. No doubt some may promise the same and charge less. If so, be very very wary. This is not a trip you will want to economise on to likely detriment, risk to your health and real risk of not getting to the peak. This is by far and away the best option IMHO if you want to succeed safely, reliably and fairly to summit.

The ULTIMATE Best! THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Ultimate Kilimanjaro was not only professional and organized, but the staff is the most helpful and welcoming. From calling the main phone/emailing, What's App contact in Africa and in person interaction this company is 10/10. I was blown away by my time on the mountain as well as the guides/porters. Everyone worked as a team to make us comfortable and feel like family. Big shout out to our porters, chef, and guides Nico and Tuma on the October 2024 climb!

Best tour group ever! I cannot stress how incredible Ultimate Kilimanjaro was and how supportive their staff was. This was honestly one of the hardest things I’ve done and it wouldn’t have been made possible by the incredible staff - Baraka (main guide, another Baraka, Happy Gody, Ahbot, Camille to name a few. Not only did we see amazing things along our journey, but we had full meals, met great people, and felt that that all my needs were taken care of. By day 4, I had horrible elevation sickness which extended until the end of the trip. I was throwing up everything, felt horrible, and the staff constantly checked on me. Baraka, one of the guides, literally was rubbing my back as I was throwing up to make sure I was ok, brought me water, gave me his own Vaseline cuz my lips were super cracked, helped carry my water bottle, and gave me words of encouragement. I felt so incredibly cared for and supported the entire time. They referred to our group as family and it truly felt like a little family for those 8 days. If you’re going to do this hike, there is no other company I can imagine that would go above and beyond like they did. Beyond impressed.

Amazing! This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! We did the nine-day, Northern Circuit trip and it was wonderful to be unplugged from electronics, connected to family and friends, and a part of nature. Ultimate Kilimanjaro is clearly designed for the success and enjoyment of the hikers, allowing them to focus on their own personal challenge. The staff was genuine in their efforts to make this a great and successful trip for us. When you think about what the porter team does to make this work, it’s just incredible. Each day they moved the entire campsite for us! They set up the site in the evenings, tore it down in the mornings, and moved it from one location to the next during the day. And to be clear, it’s not just tents as it included the dining room with tables and chairs, the portable toilets, washing buckets, our sleeping gear, our extra gear, all of the food, first aid equipment, and all of the cooking equipment. It’s an impressive operation.The variety and quality of the food was a huge highlight of the trip. It was surprising that breakfast, lunch, and dinner could be so extensive on the mountain. The time spent with family and friends (old and new!) while eating was invaluable. The chef and his team really outdid themselves by making us an impressive array of food. The warm soup everyday was a big hit for all of us. Each meal had so many courses, too.The hiking guides are very personable and knowledgeable and it was pleasure to be with them and learn from them. It was clear that their level of experience was quite high. They were attentive to the needs of the group and individuals, often anticipating our needs before we could. Perhaps the best example occurred during the night of the summit. Summit night includes hiking through the night since you start at ~10:30 pm. It’s cold and dark and long. But the guides get you through it! They are encouraging and supportive literally to the level of offering their coat to you if they see that you need it. When somebody was cold, they were there to help them warm up and get them going again.In all, my Garmin said we walked 66 miles over the course of the nine-day trip. I can’t imagine a better way to spend nine days and walk 66 miles than with Ultimate Kilimanjaro. They helped us create memories that will last for the rest of our lives! If you are even remotely considering this trip, do it! And do it with Ultimate Kilimanjaro.(There is no single photograph that can capture the magnitude of this experience, so I will not even try.)

Ultimate Kilimanjaro is simply the BEST. This experience needed to be perfect and it was - despite the torture of climbing a mountain as high as 5895m. The guides and the porters were nothing but amazing and full of wonders. My hiking shoes broke and they miraculously brought me a pair of rental shoes up the mountain - unbelievable! The food was heavenly delicious and they made vegan and gluten free dishes which left me disappointed that I couldn’t eat more. You could ask the guides about everything and they knew whatever you wanted to know about flora or fauna and anything about the mountain! The daily health checks and what was most important the daily Teddy bears filled with a warm water bottle was just life and sleep saving!! I just cannot imagine any other group to be more helpful more friendly and more welcoming. I couldn’t have made it without them!

Couldn't have done it without Ultimate Kilimanjaro!! To say this company was fantastic is an understatement. This was a well oiled machine that got everyone in my group to the top safe and sound. All of the guides and porters have wonderful attitudes and all of the food was delicious. Their top priority was safety and they excelled. I highly recommend this company to anyone that is contemplating or planning to summit Mount Kilimanjaro.

Very well organized and a great trip We had a great trip with Ultimate Kilimanjaro (9 Day Northern Route). All the guides and porters were super friendly and super supportive. Good and ample food including fresh fruits, protein and they took care of special requests as well. Tents and sleeping bags were warm and in good shape. Guides kept the group on time, but also different people could go on their own pace. All in all, highly recommended.

Amazing safari I hiked Killi with Ultimate in 2013 and had an amazing experience. Due to an emergency, I was not able to complete the scheduled safari at that time. When it came time to reschedule the safari, it was a no brainer to use Ultimate. First, Shawn was so receptive and kind to my numerous emails/questions. We did a 5 day safari with Tony. Tony was absolutely fantastic. He was so respectful of his country and animals. He was extremely knowledgeable. Ultimate provided a hot meal with each lunch, which was so nice and delicious. We even had a table and chairs when needed, we saw other safaris having their guest stand around the vehicle, eating boxed lunches. Our stay at the pure luxury tented camp in Serengeti was absolutely phenomenal. The beds were so comfortable, food delicious with homemade bread. We were even fortunate to hear lions roaring outside our tent which elevated our experience. One day, a seat in our land cruiser broke, we did not think anything of it, nor did we expect it to be fixed on our Safari. The next day, we were surprised to learn that Tony took the Land Cruiser out and had the seat repaired along with a complete detailing. If you are looking to book a safari , I highly recommend Ultimate.

We Loved Every Second!!! Ultimate Kilimanjaro was a fantastic choice!! Our group did the 9 day Northern Route. I can't recommend this route or this company any more than ... DO IT!!! Our guides, Enok, Joe, and Justin, were incredible guides and just wonderful people!! We enjoyed every day getting to know them!! Our group ranged from 53-64 years old with five girls and one guy. The pace was perfect and our guides made sure we were ready for that crazy summit night!! I loved that our comfort and safety was their primary concern. They truly wanted you to make it to the summit and they were 100% committed to getting us there!!! Not only were our guides superb but our supporting staff was phenomenal!! It was simply incredible how every single person on our trip took pride in their jobs. From our private toilet facilities being absolutely spotless ... to our chef and waiter always wanting our food to be perfect. Our porters were always respectful and smiling. It made waking up every day enjoyable. Our entire party was able to summit and did it wonderfully. I credit our guides with making something so physically brutal, so enjoyable!!! I also want to thank Joe (our guide) for taking me on a "African Ski Trip" from Stella Point to Barafu Camp... it was exhilarating running down the mountain after pole pole the entire time!! Lol It was one of my favorite parts of the entire trek!! If youvl are considering Ultimate Kilimanjaro.... they really are the best!!!! You won't regret your choice!!!!

The best company to climb Kilimanjaro! Choosing Ultimate Kilimanjaro for my nine-day, Northern Circuit climb was the best decision I could have made. It doesn’t take long into to your climb before you can see the clear difference between U.K. and other ascent companies. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, supportive and kind — allowing anyone from the total novice (me) to the seasoned climber (others in our group) to get the most out of their experience. I felt safe and just-the-right-amount physically challenged during the trip. The guides were observant and attentive — noticing and understanding how we were feeling physically, mentally and emotionally right away (often before we had even processed what we were feeling). Their encouragement and support made all the difference during summit night, when you are at your most exhausted and are the closest to giving up. This is the only company I would recommend to friends or family interested in climbing Kilimanjaro, and I would use them again without hesitation.

Non-Stop To The Top! As intimidating as this experience initially was, our guides and crew at Ultimate Kilimanjaro really came through. Their support, guidance, care, and management of the entire experience left no doubt we would reach the summit. These guys were great! …and FUN! I hope to have made some lasting friendships. Highly recommended!

Epic trip! We had an amazing experience with Ultimate Kilimanjaro! The guides and the entire support team were awesome and helped out everyone in making the trip enjoyable. Everything was done well - the food was great along with the facilities and equipment. The guides were positive and always had a smile to share. They helped and encouraged the entire group to the top of Kili! We thoroughly enjoyed our bucket-list experience and would highly recommend Ultimate Kilimanjaro.

So Much Praise for Ultimate Kilimanjaro! I cannot give enough praise to Ultimate Kilimanjaro for making this the easiest, safest, most amazing trek I've completed to date. And that convenience spilled right over into the incredible safari! There's something really special about finding a group that not only cares, but is truly invested in making it such a wonderful experience for everyone. I went to Tanzania as a solo traveler, but I never felt alone. The guides, porters, and all of UK staff were always available and willing to help. We had the most delicious (hot!) meals, appropriate gear (they saved my hide by providing warm water packs at night!), and everything was done with a smile. I can't thank UK enough. I'd give them even more stars if I could!

The Ultimate Experience. This trip was beyond anything I could ever have imagined. Not just the experience of hiking this breathtaking mountain, but the hospitality along the way, was first class! The seamless transitions from each camp, the food quality, the locations of the tents and by far, the genuine care and pride of each porter and guide is priceless. I traveled as one, and left as a family member. This was a life changing experience!!
