Excellent service from start to finish. Would recommend 100%

When I was looking for a system, UPS Solar were highly rated in a top ten review on the Independent online newspaper, so I asked them for quote. I had three other quotes as well from other companies. I found UPS very easy to deal with, professional and knowledgeable, but not pushy. The price that we agreed for the job was competitive (not the cheapest) and payment was on completion, so a deposit was not required as with most providers. The survey was highly informative and the planning for installation day on 26th November 2024 was very simple. The scaffolding went up three days before and came down two days after installation so that was great. The electrician on the day Si Parker was first class. He arrived on time and worked tirelessly all day into the evening, he explained how things worked for me in layman’s terms. The only thing that I wasn’t happy with on the day was that the panel fitters who came were sub-contractors which I did not find out about until after they had left. They didn’t check in with me when they arrived or before they left. When I realised that they had gone I checked my roof, and I was not happy with the position of the rear panels (not fitted symmetrically as per the plans). I told the electrician and although he didn’t really want to get involved, he did ring the head office to say that I wanted to speak to the roofers. They came back after a while and following a discussion agreed that the panels should be moved. Had they communicated with me when on site this could have been avoided. The system has been up and running since day one and I am getting used to how it works. I am now waiting for Octopus to fit a smart meter so that I can go onto an import/export tariff to charge the battery at night and sell any surplus electricity back to them if I have any! Early days but fingers crossed, no problems so far. If you are looking for a solar power system, then I would recommend UPS Solar.

I ordered solar panels, battery, inverter, changeover switch and EV charger via Solar Together in Cheshire West. Everything laid out in the description of what was to happen came about exactly when and how it had been described, from estimates, survey, acceptance, scaffolding and installation. Not only that but all of the staff I spoke to a UPS Solar were extremely efficient and helpful. It has been a pleasure and quite stress free to deal with them.

UPS Solar have dealt with us in a most professional manner. From the initial contact in obtaining a proposal and the presentation of it , including price, to the arrangements made after accepting the order. The installation of the scaffolding and panels on the roof, battery with inverter and wired connections. were carried out on the days arranged. All the work was neat and correct with debris cleared at the end. Paperwork has been forwarded within days. All people involved have been efficient and most friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company for works in future.

We were very pleased with the excellent service from UPS Solar and highly recommend the company for your solar installation. We had 13 panels and a 10Kw battery installed and the whole process from initial enquiry to full installation took about 2 weeks with great initial phone advice and proposal and then a thorough on site technical survey. All interactions with the company have been positive and professional. The price was very competitive and the installers were very polite, friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. Post installation admin and paperwork has also been very efficient, organised and thorough. The panels look great and the battery installation is very neat - so far it's all working well and as expected and we're looking forward to sunny days ahead! They installed solar panels and battery system 2 1/2 years ago and everything was done well and it worked a treat. They have given advice to an electrician who did some work on the house. Now I’m having an additional battery fitted. Good reliable business and if you can afford it solar panels and batteries reduce your bills to £0.

Had Solar installed Sept 2024 and everything went very smoothly. I was kept informed at every stage and the actual installation was completed with a day. Now waiting for information to connect to the grid which also seems to be very straightforward.

Just a brief review of UPS solar. The service I have received from them has been nothing short of excellent. From quotation, installation and commissioning they have been really on the ball. Whilst they may not be the cheapest in the marketplace, they are certainly the best. I would highly recommend them to anyone as their service is second to none. Very happy customer.

Work was carried out promptly and efficiently. Always kept informed about any developments such as queries about whether measures to prevent birds nesting was wanted, and the state of the roof tiles. Email communication was always prompt and helpful both in terms of standard procedures/documentation and one off queries. Left with an effective working system which we can also monitor on an app.

I have just had solar panels fitted recently. On installation day I was told that I could only have 10 solar panels instead of ten. Which I accepted. After installation, (same day) UPS sent Installation manager round to check everything was to my satisfaction, it was, but I mentioned the fitter was unable to fit the 11 panels. He then went away to measure and came back and told me he could not only fit the 11th panel but also no.12 if I wanted. Next day he returned and fitted two more panels. Great for me I now had extra one. Everybody I had contact with office and filters were very helpful.

UPS were the most competitive (and informative) of the 3 quotes I got in July. My 14 panel and storage battery system was installed in early August and all the paperwork, not least that needed to apply for an Import/Export tariff arrangement, arrived last week. A special mention to the Electricians (Si & Bo) and Roofer (Barry) who having travelled from Manchester to Bristol, had to put in a long working day to complete the job on time. I am also grateful to the Technical Dept. who advised that I could change my battery choice to a different (Fox) model for the same upgrade price but get an increased storage capacity. In summary, using UPS was a wholly positive experience. I just wish my energy supplier (and I suspect the Grid) could be quicker off the mark in sorting out my Export tariff!

Excellent service from UPS solar with regard to all aspects of the installation of our solar panels, inverter and battery on our house. A far more competitive quote for the work than we got from our electricity supplier and recommended by the installation they'd done on my brother's house and his next-door neighbour. Very efficient communication, prompt arrival of technical surveyor once we'd accepted the quote, scaffolding arranged and did the job professionally, then then roofers and electrician completed our 12 panel, inverter and battery installation in one day. Tidy, professional and conscientious work at all stages of the installation. Very pleased we went with UPS Solar Ltd.
