Schöne Ausstellung. Schöner Ausblick über Wuppertal….. Hat Spaß gemacht.

Nach Humans und Monet die 3. Ausstellung für uns im Visiodrom. Klasse gemacht mit interessanten Exponaten im Erdgeschoß und einer beeindruckende Show. Sehenswert.

Bei draußen 30°C drinnen ganz okay

Heute Abend Sondervorstellung der letzten Monet- Show. Es gab nur das Kino. Sehr übersichtliche Anzahl der dargestellten Kunstwerke. Dauer: 30 Min./ 13€ Erwachsene.Naja.

The exhibition and the 360 video were mediocre at best. Definitely not worth 15 euro — you can enjoy way more interesting museums for much less than that. The viewing platform at the top is alright, but deadly on a hot day. And sure enough, you have to pay even more to try the long-distance binoculars.

Die Monet Präsentation hat mich sehr begeistert. Der Eintritt ist moderat. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze, und auch einen Aufzug 👍🏼

Place was nice, the small information at the ground floor about Da Vinci is more a very small summary about what he did. If you are really interested in his work and him as a person, other places like musea are more interesting. The cinema idea is okay, kind of small visual summary of him and his work. You need to know something about him to understand what is shown during the show. The rooftop is nice to have a 360 view off the area.

Ausstellung ist gut, die Immersion nicht! Langweilig. Die letzten 5 Minuten allerdings rocken! Und danach unbedingt auf den Sky Walk

The space itself is awesome and further reinforced my awe at the way old buildings are repurposed in Germany! I had thought it would be just a projection, but there is an exhibition space as well, and access to the rooftop with a gorgeous view of Wuppertal, as well as a small cafe/restaurant. I visited during the da Vinci exhibition and was delighted to explore the device models that were functional and could be touched and moved to see the function and motion. That part was amazing and a pleasant surprise. The projection space itself was a bit too cold and not dark enough for the images to really pop, but the dome and roof itself were impressive and the beanbag seats were a great solution imo. The projection itself didn't really wow me so much. It wasn't as creative and impactful as the ones I've seen in Phoenix des Lumieres in Dortmund. However, the thing that actually spoilt my experience and for which I would firmly reprimand the curators of the exhibition was the use of AI generated images throughout the exhibition. Especially for one of Leonardo who was the epitome of a humanist. Whoever made the decision to use AI images instead of commission a local artist to enrich the exhibition has zero sense or appreciation for art and should not be appointed to that job. Absolute shame!
