Lawren was amazing to work with. He helped us understand how our dog thinks and how to communicate with him. I loved that he focused on positive reinforcement which worked very well for our dog.

Lawren is by far the best, most efficient, caring, and capable dog (and owner!) trainer we’ve ever worked with. He helped transform our young puppy into a reliably obedient dog with good house manners, easy leash walking, simple commands, and follow-through tactics for us to use everyday. Training is an ongoing process and Lawren has guided us every step of the way. If you have a new puppy, or a dog who needs a training tuneup, this is your place!

I can’t recommend Lawren enough. I reached out to him after my dog had bit another dog. The in home training was fantastic as my dog is mostly reactive around my apartment building. Training at Lawren’s place was also great. Lawren helped me gain confidence that I could control my dog and honestly, training was a blast! Friends and neighbors comment on how well behaved my dog is now. We go to dog parks without worry. Lawren helped strengthen the bond I already had with my pup. Highly recommend.

Lawren is a phenomenal trainer and resource. We learned a ton from our in home sessions and board and train. Our biggest takeaways were learning how to adjust our behaviors to help our dog have more confidence and make better choices. We highly recommend Lawren.

Had the pleasure of spending 5 days with Lawren in a training environment for professional dog trainers. I was impressed as Lawren demonstrated incredible skill and knowledge in training dogs and was able to back it up with high performing dogs out of his program. Lawren is a great trainer. I needed new ideas to train my 1yr old Goldendoodle, who was very stubborn. Lawren taught me new techniques that helped me turn her into a very responsive, and enjoyable pup. Thank you!!!

Where do I begin?... I think I may have given Lawren more than a small challenge in wrangling our VERY high energy 8 month old PWD puppy. He was wild and unmanageable and I was miserable in my own home with this dog. I was blaming myself for getting him and feeling guilty for not knowing how best to guide him, and dealing with three young children on top of it all. I debated sending Scout to the one month "boot camp" given the expense- but I can honestly say now, nearly 3 months later, it was money very well spent. Lawren gave me and Scout a plan of action and gave me tools to use so we can enjoy our time with him and learn to stop his negative behaviors before they occur. He honestly gets better with each passing day and I am so grateful to Lawren for sharing his skills with us. 12/10. Could not recommend more.

He have three large dogs. We found Lawren after much search and many interviews with others. After one visit we had been given many valuable skill and tools for successfully moving forward on our own. We would not consider going with any one else for future dog training needs.

If I could give a million stars, I would. Before working with Lawren, I was at wit's end with my golden retriever. Because of Lawren, he is much better behaved, I am a better owner, and we have a much better dynamic. I cannot recommend Lawren enough!

We had a great experience training with Lawren! I’ve never had a “working” dog and wanted to understand how to make him happier, more confident and well behaved. We definitely have a stronger connection and he loves practicing what we learned!

Lawren’s training has been transformative for our family and we are so grateful. Lawren is an incredible trainer who helped our Malinois/Lab/Britney Spaniel mix work through leash reactivity towards dogs and people and resource guarding when guests come into our house. He provided valuable information and things we could immediately start working on during our consultation. We eventually decided to do a board and train because we have an infant and toddler and knew Lawren could reset her with foundations that we didn’t have the time to dedicate towards. Lawren is a wonderful and patient educator who takes time to answer all of our questions and explain his methodologies. He’s also so kind and gave us the confidence we needed to allow us to fully integrate our dog back into our busy life without stress.

We have a 6 year old pitbull/hound mix named Chief who needed some help with basic commands, as well as reactivity and resource guarding. My husband and i decided it was time to take care of this as we were expecting our first baby in Sept. We did the 4 week board and train with Lawren and Chief came back a different dog! Not only did he gain the confidence he needed but he learned how to be a good dog and be happy while doing it. Lawren also taught us how to help Chief be the best doggy he can be! Highly recommend

Lawren has been absolutely God sent to our family. I called him one day after finding him on Google. I was so desperate (to the point of tears) to find answers for our pittie, who has severe allergies, and behavior issues that stem from her agony from that, and from being attacked as a 2 year old dog, years back. Lawren was so kind and he answered all the questions and concerns I had, over the phone, without me even booking an appt. Which ultimately won my business, hands down. We booked a consult with him right away after that, and he has continued to amaze us with his experience, skill, and all around natural ability to work with dogs. My jaw has dropped (okay maybe just in my head) several times during training, because he has been able to get our dog to do things that I never imagined she would be able to. Including, but not limited to, her being in the same vicinity as another dog. Something I thought would be impossible. We can’t thank you enough Lawren! And we will definitely be customers for life. 🙏🏻

We cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Lawren! When we first started training our dog was pulling us on the leash constantly, got away from us once, and had an extremely high prey drive. She also struggled with some reactivity with towards other dogs and people. After working with Lawren, she is able to go out to eat with us and sit nicely under the table, be off leash and reliably recalled, and be around people and other dogs. If you are looking for a trainer, reach out to him!!

I can’t say enough good things about Lawren! I have a Doberman who has been a challenge! My biggest battle was leash walking and managing leash reactivity to other dogs. Lawren’s calm nature and confidence not only transferred to the Doberman but also to me! Lawren provided us with skills to approach walks with confidence and has made our daily walks enjoyable! It has truly been a remarkable to watch our success working as team! I can't recommend Lawren enough!

I was referred to Walking with Walter Dog Training a year ago and wow what a difference I have seen in my Doberman! Not only did my dog get a lot of valuable training during his 2 week boarding stay, I was also taught throughout this process the correct way to mitigate/redirect “bad behavior”. I truly believe with exceptional guidance from a qualified trainer (cough-cough*Lawren) and using the right tools, you will see a huge change in your dogs behavior. My dog Banx, no longer pulls on leash, barks at his triggers such as (squirrels ,bikes ,rabbits) and most importantly I feel safe when him and I are out and about going on walks, or at the dog park or hanging out at a Brewery! Lawren was able to direct my dogs energy and focus into positive interactions with myself and others.
