Amazing trip with guide Matt Stevens, Pierce set everything up for my wife and I. She’s never fly-fished and Matt’s patience was admirable, she caught a Yellowstone cutthroat! Unbelievable float down the Yellowstone River with instruction and information along the way. Matt makes you feel like you’ve been friends for years, respectful beyond words.

They delivered beyond our expectations. Our guide Heather Nall, was amazing in her knowledge of the rivers we went on (Boulder and Yellowstone) and keeping us safe while directing/improving our fishing skills, the whole time putting us on fish. I met Pierce at a flyfishing expo in Massachusetts. When I told him that five friends and I were planning a trip to Montana (grew to a group of eight), he said that a Missouri float would be the way to go. Pierce put together a team of himself and three other guides for three days of fishing. He and the team were outstanding. We did a different part of the river each day. We all caught plenty of fish. Already planning our next trip and will definitely use Wet Net. Great guys and great teachers!

He not only provieded us with a master class in nymphing, fly casting, and reading the water, but put us in the best possible situations to catch fish at all times. We came to the mecca of trout fishing to learn and to catch world class trout and both obejectives were accomplished thanks to Pierce. This was the first of many future visits to this great land for us.

Just finished up two days of fishing with Pierce out of Livingston, experiencing two new rivers I hadn’t had the pleasure of fishing before. Can’t say enough great things about our trip. Pierce knew every turn of the river, what bugs were out, what tactics to use, and where to find the fish. Let’s just say I’m going to need to rest my arm the next couple of days. Such a pleasure to fish with - knows all the Montana history, abided our mediocre casting and snags, fed us great food and made sure we had a great time all day. I highly recommend Pierce and Wet Net Outfitters for a great Montana fishing adventure.

Had an absolutely fantastic time fishing with Pierce Oja. Not only was his guiding superb, but the comradery was instant, and it all made for three of the best days fly fishing in my many years of drowning flies. His Water Master boat was totally confarculated with all appropriate gear, and his handling of the boat was great. He put me on some of the most berserk fighting fish I have ever caught. We told war stories, laughed, had great lunch breaks...all the cool stuff that makes for a great experience, and I cannot wait to do it again.

Pierce is simply the best! We traveled to Montana on our honeymoon and were looking for something different to try. From the second we put in an inquiry, Pierce was kind, personable, and went above and beyond. He was always there for any silly question, area recommendation, and directions. The day of our trip meeting Pierce was like meeting an old friend. As kind as he could be, and you can tell he absolutely loves his job. He was very knowledgeable, and put us in every position to land a fish. You could tell it wasn’t about the money, he just simply wanted you to have a good time and give it your best shot. He was super patient, a fantastic teacher, and just an all around good guy. We can’t wait to come back to see him again and we will recommend him to absolutely anyone!

The experience was incredible and I’m so glad we did it with Wet Nets, which was such a fitting name because we wore’em out and kept that net in high demand. Zero reason for you not to book the trip with Wet Nets! Do it! Money well spent. I’ll be talking about and remembering this trip for a lifetime.

If you’re going to go fishing in the Livingston / Bozeman area in Montana, you can’t go wrong booking a trip with Wet Net Outfitters. We fished for three days with Pierce and could not be more pleased. He was a patient teacher and advisor, gave great feedback and put us on fish every day! He was a tremendous resource.
