La French Zone Reviews

I started with La French Zone on the 28th of May with Marie, initially purchasing the 1-1 24-hour package. I was a bit skeptical at first because I thought learning French over a video call might be challenging for me. However, I was pleasantly surprised—La French Zone works very well over Zoom. I've greatly benefited from La French Zone. I feel I've been accommodated perfectly to my current level, and I really enjoy my classes. Initially, I was a bit shy and nervous to learn and try speaking French, but that quickly changed. I've now decided to engage further and book another course because I feel I've found the right place to really learn French, thanks to La French Zone. Merci beaucoup, Daria and Marie!

I had larne with La French Zone for my it's very important to say because I can see my progression day bye day, the theater is very calm and have a good explanation for my question about the language and I am happy for making class with La French Zone 😊........

Daria est une excellente professeur! À l'écoute de mes besoins et mes difficultés, elle a su me tenir motivée et a adapté très bien ses méthodes et le contenu des ses cours. Daria is a fantastic teacher with a lot of knowledge on teaching french as a second language. I've had formal french classes in the past 3 years with other well known french schools but Daria's 1:1 classes really made the big difference for me. Firstly, She is very organized and lays out well thought out plans and structure for our classes. I was really impressed by the detail and extent of my personalised program. I also particularly love the flexibility of classes (we spent classes just on oral and building my confidence in speaking for example) and other classes on topics relevant to me. Overall, I'm very happy with my classes!

Daria is incredible, I dragged my feet on improving my French for ages, but thank god I found her! She's an absolutely brilliant teacher who cares passionately about your progress and constantly adapts her lessons to target your weak points while also ensuring that every lesson is fun and engaging. Beyond the pedagogical, her presence is magical - she's always kind, thoughtful, encouraging, a true burst of sunshine (whereas I tend to be more of a storm cloud, prone to meltdowns and frustration when it comes to French grammar haha - but she kept me sane, motivated, and most of all, my French improved DRAMATICALLY. In roughly 4 months I went from a shaky A1/A2 to smashing the TCF with a B2 on the spoken interview and B1 on the oral comprehension and essays. The fact I swung those scores is nothing short of a miracle, and Daria was the miracle worker behind it. I cannot recommend her more highly, thank you thank you thank you Daria xoxoxoxo

I’ve been living between France and the UK since 2021, slowly renovating an old village house in the Ariege Pyrenees. I now know a lot of french terms for bricolage and can order plasterboard and plumbing supplies with relative ease but I have struggled with making basic conversation about the price of bread. A year of French at high school in the 1970s was just not enough of a foundation. Integration is all about commnication and I wanted more. A friend recommended Brittany based La French Zone and its founder Daria Marlardé and after one semester I feel I’ve made huge progress. I am now able to have conversations with my neighbours and I’m making new friends. Lessons, which are all on zoom, are a lively mix of conversation, grammar and vocabulary. Daria’s a brilliant teacher and her style is just the right combination of formal and informal. She is encouraging, clear and no question is too silly. Lessons are well paced, creating a solid foundation on which to build each subsequent module. The regular newsletters from La French Zone offer fascinating insights into french language and culture providing a rich context for your studies. If you want to improve your french and get to a position where you can natter with your neighbours and converse with confidence, then I highly recommend checking out La French Zone. I’m still a beginner, but have ambitions to reach DELF B2 level French. I now feel like I’m well on my way to achieving that goal.

Daria was a fantastic teacher and really helped me develop confidence in my speaking skills. She was always prepared with custom lessons and did a great job of identifying when and how to address the different topics to maximize my growth as a student. So happy with my investment and would absolutely recommend Daria to anyone wanting to level up on their French skills!

I've been taking individual classes with Daria for 6 months, and I am very satisfied with the results. I've been living in France for 2 years now, and for the first time, I can understand when others are having a convesation in French thanks to Daria! I've had many other teachers, but Daria is the first one that I've studied with and have seen real improvements with my level. Her classes are reasonabily priced, flexible, and easy to follow- so don't miss out on the opportunity to learn from her!

I took individual lessons at La French Zone for two months already. Daria is very professional, making grammatical learning very easy to understand. She is patient and encouraging; her way of teaching always gave me the momentum to keep learning (even though I made quite a lot of mistakes). She is also responsible for my progress by giving me reminders on how we should invest more time in progressing faster and better. It has been a pleasure to have her as my French teacher!

Ça fait déjà quelques mois que j'ai commencé le cours de français à la Frenche Zone. Mon but : améliorer mon français. Daria est la prof de français qui écoute vraiment ses élèves. Elle est très ouverte pour toutes les suggestions. Pour moi apprendre de cette manière est un plaisir. Je conseille ce cours à tout le monde. Na zajęcia indywidualne w La French Zone zdecydowałam się kilka miesięcy temu, żeby doskonalić mój francuski. Daria jest nauczycielem, który słucha swojego ucznia, ma bardzo elastyczne podejście. Czuję, że każda lekcja przygotowana jest specjalnie dla mnie, z uwzględnieniem moich indywidualnych potrzeb i sugestii. Zajęcia odbywają się w bardzo przyjaznej atmosferze, bez stresu. Taka nauka to prawdziwa przyjemność. Polecam wszystkim!

I have loved learning French with Daria! She is very fun and patient. She keeps me motivated and gives my homework to practice with outside of class time. I would highly recommend her for beginners or intermediate levels :)

Daria est un super prof... je la recommende fortement. Depuis que je suis arrivée en France il y 2.5 ans, je cherchais un prof qui était rigoureux, et avec qui je verrai des vrais progrès. Daria est parfaite et une pédagogue talenteuse - merci. Daria is an excellent teacher - I cannot recommend her highly enough. Since moving to France 2.5 years ago, I had been looking for a teacher who was rigorous and with whom I would see real progress.
