The dress of my dreams was made a reality thanks to Vanessa at When Freddie Met Lilly. My only regret about getting married is that I no longer have Fridays free to visit Vanessa and play dress-ups. When I first entered the store, I was unsure about what I wanted however Vanessa took the time to understand my likes and dislikes and was determined to find the perfect dress for me. During our initial appointment, Vanessa draped and pinned material with meticulous care until she was satisfied with what she thought the vision may be. When I saw myself in the mirror, I was speechless. Vanessa had a remarkable ability to grasp what I was looking for, even when I wasn’t sure myself. Her attention to detail, warm demeanour, and “nothing is ever a problem” attitude made the dress shopping experience effortless. The final result was beyond anything I could have imagined—I didn’t want to take the dress off. I am immensely grateful to Vanessa (and Coco) for everything. It was truly an amazing experience, and I can’t speak highly enough of it. Thank you, thank you!

Vanessa and her team were absolutely amazing with my partner and I when choosing our wedding day outfits. We’re getting married in 3 weeks and when it came to my dress and my partners suit, it was effortless. I love my dress and how I feel in it and even with the changes I made to the dress, nothing was ever an issue with V. She also made my partner feel so comfortable and free when designing his suit. He was able to choose everything he wanted- the colour, material, the cut of the collar and lapel, button hole thread, the lining, the amount of buttons, the button themselves, all of it! It was amazing. Once we have gotten married I will add photos, but no matter what I will always recommend V and her team to anyone!! Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️ Update: photos added! From the very beginning, Vanessa’s guidance and expertise were unmatched, and she helped us find the perfect looks for our special day. We still can’t believe how stunning our outfits were! The dresses and suits were beautiful and fit perfectly, making us feel like a million bucks. The attention to detail was evident in every stitch, and we received so many compliments on our outfits. Best place to get your dream wedding dress in Brisbane

This place is awesome, my fiancé found this place when looking for her wedding dress and after going there the first time she immediately told me I needed to get my suit from there. I was a little skeptical, I will admit, due to the price of designer suits and what I thought would be an undesirable level of tedium. I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG! The whole experience was excellent and I never even thought about the price once, mostly due to how comforting and engaging the whole process was. Vanessa (business owner and designer) and her team were outstanding. Vanessa’s advice was always welcome, she always considered my wants and needs and was good at explaining why certain things work and why certain things do not. This goes for everyone but especially the blokes, this is not the type of thing reserved only for the bride to be, if you are a bit lost, have a bit of an idea or know exactly what you want, Vanessa and her team will walk you through it all hassle free! Both my Fiancé and I are very happy with our end results and I highly recommend.

I really want to thank Vanessa for all her time and effort, she was able to slot me in for a fitting at such short notice and assisted me through longer than the session time. They were so kind and accommodating and made me feel special in each dress I tried on. the first time I tried on wedding dresses was at when Freddie met Lily and it was such an amazing experience. It was so comfortable and supportive, Vanessa works so hard and makes a huge effort so you can really envisage your big day.

Vanessa was absolutely lovely to deal with, she was very flexible and accommodating with my needs and very responsive to my email queries. I can’t recommend her and her stunning gowns highly enough!

I had the best experience with Vanessa and her lovely team, from taking her time to help design my dress (I didn't want anything traditional), to coming up with the most beautiful two piece skirt and top I have ever worn. I felt beautiful. Vanessa was always quick to get back to me and even offered to have my dress driven down to me as I live in NSW so I wouldn't have to travel. Thank you Vanessa and team.

I honestly cannot rave about When Freddie met Lilly enough. Tucked away in Bardon is a truly wonderful boutique business. A few things that stood out to me- I loved that all the dresses were larger than a size 10 so I could actually put the dress on and get a real feel for what it would look like. The space is light and airy and allows you to see the dresses in true colour. Vanessa is so patient and kind and provides a very relaxed and comfortable environment. Highly highly recommend.

Such a good experience trying on dresses at when Freddie met Lilly! It was such a wonderful day the best first fitting to find my wedding dress. I keep looking at photos from the day. Vanessa was so lovely and so helpful pulling out dresses based on what I liked and offering perfect suggestions. Because dresses are made to order I know I’ll be able to get my dream dress with exactly the features I want.
