If you're looking for a world class martial arts instructor that is invested in your martial arts growth than look no further. From the moment I walked in, Ruben was incredibly welcoming and made me feel like a crucial member of his team. His passion for teaching and the personalized tips helped me make adjustments that will take my skills to the next level. I travel and train all over the US and this is definitely one of the top experiences as far a customized learning and world class instructor. I'd highly recommend dropping in and trying it out.

I originally was planning on trying out a few different gyms before committing to one, during my temporary time in Santa Fe. But, went to one of Ruben's classes and already decided this was the one. I trained here for 6 months and truly had the best experience. Coach Ruben is an excellent teacher, always striving to give the best to his students. Everyone is very welcoming, Ruben gets to know each of his students, and has created a great family and community for Santa Fe. I will definitely return when I'm back in Santa Fe. Miss everyone here!!
My kids LOVE it here. Ruben and Vince are wonderful teachers and mentors.
My boys have been in the sport before but this center has been different in the fact that they really inspire the kids to become a better version of themselves. My boys have really stepped into the responsibility of showing up and taking the classes seriously. I think what they have here is truly special.
The coaches there at 10p Santa Fe Ruben and Vincent are awesome. I enrolled my son for jiu jitsu and muay thai and he loves it. They’re so good with the kids and teach them about having character as well. This school has helped me to provide my child a solid foundation and build confidence.

I have trained across the US at multiple gyms and I have to say 10th Planet Santa Fe is elite. Ruben and his wife offer cutting edge high level jiu-jitsu and a great family environment. They have a cohesive programming to develop people from beginner to advanced; which, is rare in the sport. Training culture is great as they're fine with cross training, have developed a deep roster of competitor upper belts, and safety is a priority.
This is one of my favorite BJJ schools. Ruben is an amazing coach - a master of the craft and super personable. The room has experienced folks, new people, guys and gals. A great place to start or develop as a practitioner. Also, most days you can get 3 classes in and practice different aspects of the game; a rarity in many schools.
My son started at 10th Planet Santa Fe about a year and a half ago. We had a lot of big life transitions going on at that point and the coaches there provided such a tremendous positive experience for him--structure, fun, discipline, and camaraderie. It really helped him through the transition. It's been an excellent period of time for him and I'm very grateful that we found them.

I've trained with a lot of different high-level folks, and Ruben & the team here are among the best. My game has tightened up, as well as expanded, enormously over the past year.

Been 7 months since I started training at 10th Planet Santa Fe and feel super lucky to have found this school after relocating. Everyone training at the school is welcoming and supportive which fosters a safe training environment and a perfect learning atmosphere. I'd also like to highlight Sensei Ruben's commitment to every one of his student's development on and off the mat. Grateful to be a student here and to be a part of the 10p SF community.
Highly recommend 10p santa fe. I had such a great time training here. Very welcoming environment, friendly community atmosphere. Ruben is a great instructor as well- each class is super focused and he does an excellent job of explaining the tiny details as simply as possible. My nogi game has never been better!
I started here with no background in martial arts and i have learned so much about jiujitsu. I love the engaging environment that Sensei Ruben and his fellow coaches creates when teaching. I did my first tournament 6 months in and it was a great experience with the help of Sensei Ruben and my fellow classmates. I highly recommend coming here.
I can’t say enough good things about Ruben. I first met Ruben when he was coaching out of 10th Planet Orange County, and even though it has been 3 years since he and his family relocated to Sante Fe, his name still comes up regularly in class. Both from the other coaches, and students, that he positively impacted. His classes and method of instructions is concise, and very meaningful. The most improvement in my jiujitsu over the shortest amount of time occurred during my time with Ruben, and my only regret is that I didn’t have more time with him. He is dearly missed by the Orange County team, and the people of Sante Fe couldn’t be luckier to have him.
