We had a Feldco storm door installed in 2018, and the installation was problematic from the very beginning. We required multiple service calls, yet the door was never properly fixed.
Now the door is hanging off with broken hinges. When we contacted Feldco for help, we were told the “lifetime warranty” we were promised does not apply, and we were quoted a $180 service call fee—even though the issues clearly stem from installation errors that were present from day one.
It’s extremely disappointing to be sold on a lifetime warranty and then be told it offers little to no protection when you actually need it. After years of unresolved issues, this feels like a lack of accountability and integrity. I expected better from a company that claims to stand behind its work.
Kevin was great at explaining the windows and answered all my questions.

I was charged $1,100 extra because of the age of my home for lead paint remediation. We were promised it would be cleaned up and tarps would be used to control lead dust etc. Nothing was used or done. We still have lead paint laying all around the yard. I was reimbursement for about half of the "required" fee.

Patrick was our sales rep. He was mostly helpful until the project neared completion, when major issues began to surface and communication broke down. He stated he would relay minor project changes, which never happened, resulting in me purchasing materials that could not be returned.
Day 1 of installation: the crew never showed up, and no call was made. I called around 2 p.m. and was told the crew had been fired from contracting with Feldco, followed by the comment that they “weren’t a very good crew anyway.” This was alarming considering this was a $26,000+ project. The receptionist I spoke with was professional and understanding, but as a night-shift worker I had already used valuable vacation time. The project was delayed an entire week, forcing work to occur while I needed to sleep.
I then worked with the operations team. I was told the project would begin Wednesday — it did not. The excuse was incorrect color corner pieces, despite there being multiple days of tear-off and prep work that could have been completed. Even after the correct materials arrived, no work began. I was then told the crew would finish in four days or less. That did not happen. The crew began working half days, extending the timeline well beyond what was promised.
Once the old siding was removed, an incorrectly sized dumpster was ordered. Old siding was piled against it and into my neighbor’s yard, prompting complaints. I again had to call to manage the situation. Because the siding leaned against the dumpster, it could not be swapped without spilling thousands of nails. Eventually, the crew returned with a van to remove debris — only after neighborhood complaints escalated.
During tear-off, approximately 90% of my window screens were damaged. Feldco fixed them, but only after I reported the issue. Exterior lights were removed without shutting off breakers, causing an outlet connected to my refrigerator to explode, leaving us without a refrigerator for eight days until repairs were completed (covered by Feldco). Electrical work in the garage was also done improperly, resulting in a village code violation.
Hundreds of nails were left throughout the driveway, yard, sidewalk, and deck. The crew did not clean them up or notify management. I had to call yet again to prevent injury to my children, dog, neighbors, or pedestrians.
Siding installation took several additional days beyond what I was told. Door kick plates that were promised were not installed until I called for the crew to return. Hardware for exterior lights, gutter extensions, and house numbers was thrown away. Lights were rehung insecurely, and despite being told “new hardware” was installed, video evidence showed otherwise. I ultimately had to hire someone else to correct it.
When it came time for gutter installation, I again took a day off — and again, the crew did not show up, nor did anyone call. After this entire experience, Feldco discounted the project by $150, which felt insulting given the extent of the issues.
This project required constant oversight from me, which should never be the homeowner’s responsibility. Feldco’s communication, project management, and contracted crews were consistently unprofessional. My entire neighborhood witnessed this ordeal. I regret choosing Feldco and strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want professionalism, accountability, and peace of mind.

Highly recommended! Very pleased with the entire process from salesperson scheduling to company follow up to financing approval to scheduling & installation of 11 new windows to replace my nearly century old ones. Installer subcontractor company they sent has worked 15 yrs with Feldco. They called @7:59am to let me know they were in front of my house ready to start (Feldco gave an 8:00am-10:00am time expectation). I was given. Entire project completely installed by 12:30pm & subcontractor appeared a well oiled & informed group. I took blinds & curtains down but didn’t realize I needed to remove clips too. I started & they helped me finish, since I followed instructions & moved furniture.

Clear sight, UV protection + the black exterior color that I chose looks great against the red brick of my house & NO MORE DRAFTS & lifetime warranty as long as I own the house!
I should have done this many years ago to save on my gas bill too. I should have used Feldco with yhd new kitchen window I paid for years ago that still has air drafts! Timing was right with the special Feldco offered & after meeting with 4 other less professional companies prior to Feldco I am grateful that I waited. They under promised and over delivered on all matters + office was responsive anytime I reached out.
