Lovely experience. A few of the courses, such as the taco and supplemental caviar hand roll were stellar! Others, the pork loin in particular, just so so. Service was spot on. The kitchen accidentally left the uni off the tacos. No biggie. Quickly remedied. They took it off the bill without evening bringing attention to it. Above and beyond in my book! 4.5 stars if I could.

This place is awesome. One of the better prefixes options in the city. Have to get the caviar hand roll add on. Great selection of drinks and wines.

Excellent food in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The caviar roll is a unique and must-have accoutrement. My other favorite dish was the breakfast taco.
This is a lesser-known fine dining restaurant, but it's one of the better meals I have had in NYC in the past few years.

Honestly, it was good but not exceptional. The caviar handroll was really great, the rest were all good but nothing stood out. Service a bit overenthusiastic.

This was the best dining experience of my life. I came to 63 Clinton for my 25th birthday dinner with my best friends and we were just in awe of the amazing food and the incomparable hospitality. Christine was our main server and she was just the best. Every single person who came to our table was so kind and welcoming. The sommelier was also iconic (I was chosen to taste the wine for the table and in my head I was like “omg I don’t how to taste wine like an expert” and I think he noticed I was nervous. And reassuredly, he went, “Its no big deal” and after that I felt so seen and validated so thank you for that.) This was my first Michelin star fine dining experience and the 63 Clinton team made me feel so safe and comfortable and like I belonged. We really felt taken care of and special. We had so much fun talking to Christine, Raymond, and the rest of the team throughout our meal. It was great getting to know you all. Thank you so much for your wonderful service. This dining experience was one of the highlights of my life.

Food was a bit mediocre compared to the price, but the service was really good.

The indulgence and lack of regard for the caviar's origin in the famous handroll just feels like a gimmick to capitalize on the desire to impress.
The service was warm and friendly though.

If you’re celebrating something in NYC this is the place for you . The food is amazing and changes often you never know what you’re going to get. The staff is kind and genuinely happy to have you there. The owners are there working with the staff every single night . Nyc is lucky to have this establishment.

We went to Sixty Three Clinton on our anniversary to celebrate and it definitely was an excellent choice we made.
Food was delicious and the service was top notch! We felt that staff members and the chefs made an extra effort to accommodate us and we were very much appreciated to their attention to the details.
Loved our experience and can’t wait to return for more of the ‘caviar hand roll’!
Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
Highly recommend.

Just had a great time celebrating my fiancé's birthday at Sixty Three Clinton! Food was fantastic, service was 10/10 - attentive, knowledgeable, not pushy, prompt. Atmosphere was great - not pretentious, cozy, simple. Loved how they paced each course - not too fast, but more importantly, not too slow. Many times course dinners can take forever, but each dish was timed perfectly. Being able to see the kitchen from the counter was a bonus, and we were able to appreciate our food even more seeing how every staff worked really hard to make things perfect. We will definitely return when the next season menu comes out. Fall menu was 100! Thanks for sweet bday card as well :)

TL;DR: Compelling price point for 7-course but ultimately expected more. Didn’t like the initial wait (40 min) between seating and the first course. Rotating servers was confusing. Food - apart from a few dishes - was just okay.
…
Was excited to try this spot but left feeling lukewarm. The food was okay. I wasn’t sure what the exact theme or focus of the menu was, and so each item felt a bit random. Presentation was nice, but the flavors overall just didn’t quite… mesh or do much for me. Breakfast taco concept sounded fun, but a flour tortilla with some crisped potato covered in fish roe was odd and salty. I’d have appreciated a little bit of an intro explanation as to what the chefs were thinking about when pulling the menu together.
To be fair, a few were good. The notable dishes were the grilled pork tenderloin (yum), tempura squash blossom (enjoyed the airy crunch), and the goat milk ice cream. The caviar with the ice cream for the sweet and salty combo was especially genius. Great textures and delightful contrasts in my favorites. But everything else was just okay, which was surprising considering this is a Michelin-starred restaurant.
The service was a problem - but it wasn’t exactly a server issue. It’s more about the timing of things coming out and the beginning wait. We came on time for our reservation, sat down, was served water, and then just waited. And waited. Put in our drink order. Waited another 10 minutes. By now we were 40 minutes into our reservation with one drink on hand and zero food. I’d have appreciated even some bread or something to snack on rather than sit at an empty table for that long. I think it’s reasonable to either receive the first course or some kind of notice about how long things will take by the 20-ish minute mark. Neither happened.
Meanwhile, our first server was off talking about wines to other guests but not revisiting our table, which made us feel overlooked. I don’t think it was intentional because it seems like all the servers were rotating through tables, but this system wasn’t clear until later. Ultimately the service improved by the end, so I appreciate that. The servers individually were conversational, cheerful, and lovely. However, I’d have preferred one dedicated server OR, if you’re going to continue with the rotating servers, simply clearer communication.
I’m sorry to say that the rough start colored the rest of the meal, and the food was inventive but not quite hitting the mark for what I’d expect at this price point. Also, the wines by glass were a bit pricey relative to the meal (in the $20-30 range). With great reviews and a set 7-course meal that is $117/person (which is a compelling price point), I did hope for either outstanding food or service. It’s just one person’s opinion, but I left feeling a little disappointed. I believe in the restaurant’s potential and know I’m maybe the minority in the sea of positive reviews. I just think that when it comes to NYC and such a competitive food scene, I hoped for more at Sixty Three Clinton.
