** BEWARE** **WARNING** Where do I begin? First and foremost, this company is driven by profit, so proceed with caution. I had car trouble while on holiday, far from my trusted local garage, and had to call the RAC to assist me on the roadside. The RAC technician diagnosed the issue as a faulty alternator, which seemed odd to me since the car was still able to start and run. Any competent mechanic would know that if the alternator were truly the issue, the car wouldn't start once the battery was drained because the alternator wouldn't be charging it. Since Absolute Autos is an RAC-recommended garage, my car was towed there. In hindsight, I regret not having it taken back to my regular garage in the West Midlands. According to the fine print from RAC, the garage is supposed to confirm the diagnosis after receiving the vehicle. However, it was clear that Absolute Autos planned to replace the alternator simply because that's what the RAC technician had said. When I suggested providing my own part to save money, they refused, insisting on using their own marked-up parts to make a profit. The following day, they claimed the car had another issue. To make a long story short, they told me the harmonic dampener needed replacing, along with a bolt that my car doesn’t even use. They charged me for this unnecessary part, despite the fact that the required bolts came with the dampener. When I asked to keep the replaced part, I discovered their dishonesty. Upon returning to my local garage, the mechanic explained that the real issue was the harmonic dampener, which wasn't spinning the alternator pulley, thus preventing the alternator from charging. The alternator itself never needed replacing. My mechanic remarked that any decent garage should have identified this issue. He also pointed out that since I wasn’t from the area, Absolute Autos likely took advantage of the situation, knowing I wouldn’t be a repeat customer. They should have admitted their mistake, reinstalled the original alternator, replaced the pulley, and charged me for that, which would have been expensive enough. My advice: Be wary of this company, as they are not honest. In my book, integrity should always come before making a few extra pounds. Never again.

Great garage, did thorough diagnostics and gave great recommendations for fixing the problem, and also fixed other issues while they were there. Will definitely be using again.

I’ve used Absolute for the past 4 years on a number of cars and they always give a great service. Danny is great at figuring out what is needed and the guys are great at fixing even the most stubborn problems. I bring my older cars to them and fully trust them to sort the cars out while treating them with respect. Will keep coming back as long as the service stays great!

Absolute awful customer service when things go wrong. STAY AWAY. We spent 4.5k in Aug, car was back and forth following this and culminated in a car fire (unrelated to the major works completed apparently!) and write off within 12 days. Absolute Autos collected the car within hours and then zero contact, so we had to submit a SAR to get any response or information. Avoid at all costs.

Very honest, reliable and helpful guys. Always explain the problem and the options for fixing it and never suggest something that isn't needed. Highly recommended.
