Had Ross come down to change my pockets and leathers, as well as give the table a service (including level, brushing and ironing). Was left with an excellent job. I highly recommend going through him. Professional attitude, attention to detail, and overall a very nice person to have a chat with while he's doing the job. I'm loving playing on table again... feels like a brand new table now.

Tony is a master in this field. Cannot thank him enough for helping me out with reclothing my 8 ball table. With his guidance I was able to do the cloth myself. Turned out perfect. Thanks Tony.

Thoroughly recommend Tony for any restoration/recovering of your billiards table. He is cool, calm and professional. He passes on his knowledge about the care of your table. Our newly restored table is a delight to play on at last. Its a pity we only have the one😁 Thankyou Tony once again. Love your work and have passed on our recommendations of you to all our family and friends. Max and Catherine🇮🇹 🇲🇫 🇬🇧.

Bought a second hand 9-Ball table and we need better than professional hands to disassemble it, transport it to our place, then reassemble including replacement of cushions and cloth. And we just couldn't be more proud of ourselves in choosing sir Tony Calabro. I am very particular on the technical aspect of everything and when I saw how this guy worked on our table, he just didn't prove his 5 decades of experience. He showed us a can-now-be-considered "extinct" trait of a worker/businessman - SENSE OF OWNERSHIP. Inspite of the obstacles alongside of dealing with a 30-year old tournament-grade, 9-Ball American table, this guy flawlessly pulled it off resulting in such an exquisite outcome! Highly appreciated the "heart" you put into our table, sir Tony! Kudos to Denim as well! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

In the last two years I have had the pleasure of dealing with Adelaide Billiard Tables and in particular with the proprietor Tony who has been in the billiard table manufacturing industry for nearly 50 years. I believe it would be instructive to recount my experiences. On the first occasion I needed my 40 year old cue, originally purchased from P J Brady, re-tipped and refinished. Tony explained that he had worked for Brady’s many years ago and had hand made the exact model of my cue. A week later I picked up the cue in better than new condition having been re-varnished, re-fitted with a brass ferrule and an expertly hand shaped blue elk master tip. Needless to say the cue played and continues to play beautifully. When my son-in-law decided to build a basement pool room. I volunteered to do the leg-work to source an 8-foot table. With my initial positive experience dealing with Tony I decided to start with Adelaide Billiards. Unfortunately there were no finished tables in the showroom with most of the space taken up by other manufacturers’ tables that customers had brought in for repair. I did however notice a chalk board detailing the stages of construction of no fewer than 20 billiard tables on order and concluded that Tony was flat out meeting orders and any showroom stock was snapped up as soon as it became available. My priorities for the purchase of a snooker table were simple. The table must play true, the cushions must be consistent, the cloth must be the best cloth available and lastly the table must look good and retain these characteristics for many years to come. Not having a finished table to look at, Tony kindly took me into the adjoining workshop, which admittedly was dusty from freshly sanded table legs and cushion rails, and went through my concerns one by one. He explained in minute detail how the table frame is meticulously built using his own propriety techniques with very stable New Zealand timbers, why the cushions do not contain clay as in cheaper tables and why he insists on using only world class English cloth. Tony paid particular attention to the final finishing of the slate and the advantages of using a single piece rather than a three piece slate top. Although in a basement situation it would be far simpler to use a three piece slate top, Tony explained that a single piece would stand the test of time and as such he would prefer to use it even though it would be awkward to negotiate the stairs. Finally I asked about the varnishing and Tony explained that a section of the workshop is isolated and completely dust and smoke-free and this is where all the spray varnishing is performed. Armed with this wealth of info I was convinced that I needed to look no further than Adelaide Billiards and pre-ordered a table on the spot, even though the basement was still under construction and several months from completion. To cut a long story short the table was finally assembled on site and carefully positioned, adjusted and meticulously checked for playability. The finished table not only looks brilliant but more importantly is an absolute joy to play on. In summary, should you ever choose to deal with Adelaide Billiards then all you can expect is honest advice, first class repair services and simply world class billiard tables.

My wife and I had done a lot of research with a few places around Adelaide and online and through that research, heard about Adelaide and Country Billiards. We happened to be driving past the showroom one Saturday so stopped and called in. We met Tony who asked us to hold tight while he finished up on phone call. Tony took the time to walk us through his workshop/showroom and explain to us how he works and the level of attention he puts into his tables. Having a trade background, I loved seeing someone so passionate about what he does, taking the time to explain all about his tables and how he makes them all by hand. Too many tradespeople these days just don't take the time to love what they do. Tony is the complete opposite. I had decided fairly quickly our table would be built by Tony. As with many other places around Adelaide, most of the tables are imported and you just don't know the quality of what you are buying. Tony invited us in to his workshop several times to view our table while in progress. I bloody loved that. Seeing our table being made in his workshop just added to the excitement. I know exactly how and where it was made. We had our table delivered two weeks ago today and we love it. The dining table top is also equally amazing. Tony delivered the table and set it all up very professionally. He is passionate about what he does, he called a spade a spade and certainly didn't sugar coat anything about what he expects from his customers either. He just wants his customers to love their tables as much as he does. Overall a very pleasurable experience from a true local South Aussie, still building quality products for his customers. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others. Thanks Tony.

Would rate 0/5 if possible. The store is absolutely filthy, dust covers everything, including the one and only table they have on show. Garbage everywhere and the only possible reason I can think they are still in business is due to people placing orders over the phone without stepping foot infront of the dust-ridden store. Workers seem very unsettling, unprofessional and unkind. The store smelt like smoke on entering and I found the reason was that the owner was smoking INSIDE, with no possible way for the smoke to escape. I took a cue back that I purchased from them a year ago to get the tip replaced. Owner went on telling me all the faults in the cue which he said was caused by the manufacturer, yet he did not tell me about them when I was purchasing last year. Hope this rant warns others from every having to have such a negative and time-wasting experience in the store and I will warn you to go to ANY other billiards store but this one. 0/10, absolutely terrible service in every possible area.
