Unreal experience to Base Camp Incredible trip couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Would highly recommend Amigos. Our guide Dinesh was great and took care of our group above and beyond. Our porters Indra and Binod were amazing young boys and always friendly and polite. Niti was great to communicate with over email when organising the trip. Niti also worked with Dinesh to organise a helicopter to get us out when the flights to lukla were postponed due to weather conditions on the way out. The driver was great from Kathmandu to Ramechapp and all the staff at the hotel were friendly and kind. I was meant to join a friend who went with Amigos the year before and wasn’t able to join the trip. Amigos held my deposit for a year to ensure I could re book and get to enjoy the unreal experience. My fried also highly recommended Amigos as well. The tea houses we stayed at were amazing and Dinesh had recommended these from previous stays. Our group was only four people but I got to know them well and felt safe as a solo traveller, would book another trip with this comp at in the future.

The team organised an impeccable trip for us and it was quite complicated, because we included a lot of activities and trekking. Niti & team organised any small details and we can not complain for anything. In the contrary, we would like to thank for the incredible flexibility to make last minute changes of program. In addition, we did not have any experience before with Amigo, but we booked quite a long trip, therefore a substantial amount to pay. Amigo makes us paying only a part of the trip and we paid the remaining in Kathmandu. We found this fact very trustworthy and credible, especially if we have to cancel of change dates. This convinced us from the beginning, that even if Amigo is an online platform, it is trustworthy. Then after the impeccable organisation, we are so glad, that we did not have any stress at all for anything and we could fully enjoy our holiday. Of course such special service has also a price, but it is nothing compared to how Amigo did our life so easy and our holiday so smooth. No hassle! Niti provide everything we need! great pleasure with niti as our booking PIC, balram as our driver and Sushma as our guide! we really had a blast! from the hotel that we stay its really stunning and the view in nagarkot as well the tour in kathmandu, bhaktapur and patan! We manage to get everything and also created a great no hassle days in our 4 days in kathmandu!

Amigo can make it happen! As a solo traveler in a country very far from home, I felt completely safe and taken care of by the team at Amigo. I had a very aggressive schedule with only a short tome to work with. And challenges were thrown at me left and right (well, mostly weather-related). But whenever an obstacle appeared, Amigo pivoted quickly and made things happen. Thanks to this incredibly staff, i was able to experience things I never thought I would.

Enjoyed Everest Base Camp Trekking!! My hiking friend(Zsu) used Amigo Treks & Expedition twice in past and she highly recommended this trekking company to do 12 days Everest Base Camp trekking. My trekking friend and I booked int'l flight and she coordinated trekking plan with Niti in the office. The plan is probably basic standard that is 12 days trekking which is consist of 7 days up + 2 days acclimitization hike (= rest days) & 3 days down. Based on the itinerary, I checked daily hiking mileage and elevation gain/loss on GAIA app to understand the level of trekking. Once we started trekking with Hari and our strong porters (Padma & Durga), Hari sees our hiking pace every day and altered original plan to avoid cold valley area's overnight stay and customised the plan to suit our needs (he re-booked warmer/less windy area's inn or larger town's inn such that we could spend time for souvenirs shopping on the way down etc. These changes made a couple of days trekking slightly longer or shorter but we didn't have any issues. Also, we have 1 guide, 2 porters and 3 clients who have some different hiking pace in each. Instead of forcing 3 of us to adjust the same hiking pace, Hari let 2 porters and himself to be closer to each of us individually and kept an eye we were all okay without problem/issue. These clients oriented way of handling, Hari is very good at and I was very happy that he did that way. At the end of the day after eating supper, Hari talked about next day trekking (how long we go, whether we go up, flat or down, steep ascent etc, lunch plan in detail. At night, when in is cold, Hari & porters provided hot water bag for our sleep. During the trekking, Hari explained mountain names by pointing mountain summit in each. In overall, I enjoyed a lot with Hari, Padma and Durga for 12 days trekking. I highly recommend anyone use Amigo Treks & Expeditions. And request Hari to be your Trekking Guide.

Bespoke itinerary organised to our needs My friends and I had a fantastic ten days in Nepal. Thank you to Niti for organising a fantastic bespoke itinerary which allowed us to experience a mix of culture, heritage, adrenaline and wonderful food. Also a special shout out to Balran, our awesome driver who helped to navigate the treterous mountain roads and chaotic city streets. We absolutely recommend booking with this company.

Perfection! The trip was well planned and coordinated from beginning to end. I could not have been happier with our tour guide Hari and our amazing porters. They even brought up a cake and surprised me on my birthday the day before base camp. I felt well taken care of with every detail, from hot water bottles at night to detailed plans of each days adventures. Niti in the office made the how process seamless! Amigo Trekking is the only way to go!!!!

Manaslu Circuit Trek We recently returned from an adventure in Nepal. We completed a 13-day Manaslu Circuit Trek with a side trip to Manaslu Base Camp with Amigo Treks & Expeditions. Manaslu is the 8th highest summit in the world and the greatest altitude we achieved was at the Larkya pass (5160m). Whilst enormously challenging, this trek was an incredibly rewarding experience that showed us breathtaking landscapes and brought us in contact with traditional villages and people who live a conventional cultural and spiritual lifestyle in the Manaslu area. The trek from Dharamshala over the pass and to Bhimtang took 12 hours and was tough, but magnificent and well worth every breath. This trek offers the right combination of physical difficulty and magnificent scenery. To enjoy it we would recommend that you have a good level of physical fitness, stay hydrated to avoid altitude sickness, follow the advice from Amigos Treks & Expeditions and remember to pack Micro Spikes. A big thankyou to Amigo’s Dinesh our guide, Ramesh and Safal our porters and Niti for all her work before during and after our trek. It was our second trek with this company, and we highly recommend them.

Best Experience Ever We group of friends got chance to go for Everest base Camp Heli Tour managed by Amigo, We were to excited for Everest closer look and we got not only Everest to see and also got best hospitality and exceptional service provided by Tour Operator.

Wow- what a cool adventure! My 14-day Everest Base CampTrek with Amigo went great! The communication before the trip responded promptly to all my questions and concerns, and my guide on the trek, Prakesh, was extremely experienced, knowledgeable and thoughtful. We had time to enjoy the villages, temples and coffee shops along the way, while taking the uphills and downhills at a pace that I needed to succeed!

Kanchenjunga trekking: It was an experience filled with excitement! Kanchenjunga Trekking was my sixth time trekking in the Himalayas, and not only was it a different region to mine, and the scenery was amazing, but the villagers were simple and the guides and porters who accompanied me were very kind. The staff who organized this trip were also wonderful people.

Exploring EBC in Nepal-Gods country. EBC is a very bright and serene mountain range. The entire hike was one of the best experiences of my life. Amigo did an exceptional job during entire journey. Niti was a great help in packaging the tour and providing all the data. Dinesh was there helping us in Kathmandu. Our guide Nava Sherpa did a phenomenal job in managing the entire hike. Very kind. Helpful. Very proactive. Has an amazing knowledge of the trek, the mountain range, accommodations, food and he ensured that we are fully taken care of. Our Porter Jarendra was also a great help. It amazed me the load Jare carried with a smile on his face and was always there to take care of us. We stayed 2 days in Kathmandu before we started the hike and 2 days after the hike for cooling down and local site seeing. Can’t explain enough on the amount of work involved for Amigo in making this kind of a trip happen. Very well planned and executed. I strongly recommend Amigo to all the hikers for Nepal and Tibet related expeditions. I am already working with them on ABC and Mt. Kailash-Manasarovar expedition.

Great planning, knowledgeable and service Niti and Dinesh put together a customized itinerary per our preferences. Niti was very responsive to our queries via WhatsApp. Our guide, Navaraj Thapa was very knowledgeable and provided a good commentary on the different peaks and the trail itself. Every evening he briefed us on what to expect the next day. This was very useful in planning our day. He and our porter, Jarendra, ensured our comfort at each stop by bringing us hot water, arranging for electric blankets by liaising with the tea house personnel. It was clear that they knew how to get the job done! Over my friend and I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Amigo. We are already discussing future treks with them.

The best trekking company ever!!! Was referred Amigo trekking by a colleague who had done the Everest base camp trek previously. We came as a trio and were a little concerned as there are so many companies and you hear of bad experiences during these treks. Our concerns were for nothing as Amigo trekking were FANTASTIC! We had our wonderful guide Dinesh, and our incredible porters Sudip & Prem who we will remain good friends with for the future 😊 the views and stops along the way were breathtaking and if we had any concerns or questions Dinesh was there to answer everything, he was astoundingly knowledgeable of the mountain ranges and peaks, and also any card game you’d play with him (beware he will win 😂). We left for Nepal with the thought that the base camp was the main focus, however we soon realized that it was not the case, and that the people we came across, the journey, our porters and guide made the trip so much more special! We will remember our trek forever and the joy it brought! We would also like to thank Niti for organizing everything, and answering my never ending questions 😂 the start of our trip was looking like it was not going to happen due to bad weather, and Niti and Dinesh managed to save it from being all cancelled!! 100% will go with Amigo trekking again !!!

Top notch local trekking company Apparently there are around 1700 trekking companies in Nepal to choose from. You could read the reviews on all these for days……. or you could just go with Amigo Treks and Expeditions and know that you will be thoroughly looked after and will have the best experience of your life. I did the EBC trek in September/October 2023 and can’t fault their service, especially when things outside of their control (ie the weather), don’t go according to plan……… Unfortunately planes to Lukla from Kathmandu were cancelled on my scheduled departure date due to poor weather conditions in Lukla, so I was driven back to my hotel to try again the next day. The same thing happened the next day but this time a plan B was enacted. The company driver drove myself and my guide 5 hours to a different airport (Ramechhap) where the odds of getting a flight to Lukla were better. A hotel, dinner and breakfast were arranged before being taken to the airport to try again. Unfortunately the flights to Lukla were again cancelled on this day due to weather. During these 3 days of cancellations, my guide, Chandon, continued to advocate for a flight for me and was always at the front of the check in counter rearranging tickets and organising new flights. I couldn’t have navigated this system without him. On the fourth day we flew. Securing a spot on a plane this day was all thanks to my guide and Amigo. Without their knowledge, organisation and understanding of the airport systems I could have been like many others that day and not got a flight that day either…….. On the trek Chandon made sure that I walked at a healthy pace to avoid issues with altitude. He always made sure my food and accommodation were in order and that I was comfortable and feeling fit and healthy. He even organised a plate of cut fresh fruit for me every evening. Along the way, he pointed out things of interest and was very knowledgeable about the land and its culture. He made sure the whole trek went smoothly and everything was well organised. I’d also like to give a shout out to my porter, Naryne, who carried my duffle bag and got me checked in to my accommodation each day, always with a friendly attitude and the biggest smile on his face. Some people question whether a guide is necessary on this trek. It is a well worn path and it would be difficult to get lost on the standard route, however a guide does so much more than just show you the way. They make all the logistics easier which makes for a stress free trek. A good guide is worth their weight in gold. Although I saw many great guides from different companies whilst on the trek, they are not all created equally. I can guarantee that Amigo employs only the best. The company also does a lot of work behind the scenes to ensure that guests have the best trek possible. They are a fantastic team of people. Book with them and I promise you will not be disappointed.
