Wow! Lara the optometrist is a credit to her profession and Ashworth Opticians. This is not my usual opticians but I was referred here by my opticians as they were unable to see me and I needed an emergency appointment. I arrived for my appointment with Lara at 5pm on a Thursday. After listening to my concerns, Lara explained that she needed to put drops into my eyes to dilate the pupils and I wouldn’t be able to drive for 3-4 hours afterwards. Due to the time of the day and the fact that I had unknowingly driven, Lara was unable to help me then. However, she insisted that she would see me the following day on a Friday-a day she doesn’t usually work-as she didn’t want to leave my problem until after the weekend. True to her word, she came to work the next day, on her day off, to see me. She is so kind, caring and professional. She went ‘above and beyond’ and I left the opticians reassured that all was well. Lara left the opticians at the same time as me to enjoy the rest of ‘her day off work’. Thank you Lara.

A real pleasure being an Ashworths customer, the quality of service was excellent, very thoughough and most pleasant, parking is no problem either.

Nicola was very thorough and also very supportive and patient with my elderly Mum. The lady who booked us in and sorted sunglasses was also extremely helpful.

Brought my children for their annual eye test. Was an excellent experience. Both the manager and optometrist were very patient with them, made them feel welcome and at ease. With the additional bonus of a lovely biscuit! Big thanks to Hayley and Lara.

Had a fantastic appointment with Ashworth opticians today. The optician I saw was so extremely thorough. She took her time to explain everything to me she answered any questions I had and was so transparent with the cost of any treatment that I might need, which was very refreshing! I then went to see Lauren or Laura sorry? And she was so kind! She took her time and went through all the options that were available to me to suit my Budget. She just showed so much kindness and compassion. Haley on reception was so lovely too definitely the perfect choice for front of house!! I’ve been to few different opticians in the past some big names some smaller names but never had such a thorough transparent appointment like the one at Ashworths - eyesight is such an important thing just as important as a doctors referral to a specialist and Ashworth Opticians would definitely be my first choice, thank you so much for your time today!!

Was slightly apprehensive when ownership changed but trade name of Ashworth's was retained. Heard rumours of a huge increase in price of glasses but not as bad as I feared. The new company provides excellent top of the range care and attention with the latest technology instruments (including photo retina ). Lara the optometrist and Lauren the student dispensing optician were extremely friendly and caring (including a welcoming cup of tea and biscuit!) I have opted for special En Route Pro night driving spectacles to get rid of headlight glare from the glare of the new LED headlights which dazzle when driving on poorly lit roads like Styal Road. Ashworths also offer treatment for blocked tear glands and encrusted eye lashes. Most importantly they offer you a 30 per cent down payment on financial transactions and interest free payments of the remainder owed over a 12 month period . Even my Full Comfort glasses frame don't cut into the bridge of my nose! I rate this company ten out of ten for diagnostic eye treatment and friendly and honest welcome to all customers both new and old.

Really good service from start to finish. My previous glasses from another opticians broke and they were great at fitting me in and keeping me updated on timescales so I had new glasses before I went away on holiday. Very thorough eye test and very helpful with selecting new glasses. Everyone was always really friendly as well. They also checked my 2 years olds eyes as the family has a history of eye problems and it went so smoothly and was very reassuring. Definitely recommend!

I had a great check up at this peactice today. I am very anxious and found the Optician to be kind and accommodating, keeping me informed of my progress throughout the check up and explaining the procedures and reasons for them. Afterwards I enjoyed choosing some glasses and again the staff were very helpful and we had a giggle choosing some lovely specs. At the last minute I had to bring along my twin 4 year olds who are very curious and chatty and the staff were lovely with them and coped admirably with 2 energetic chatterboxes. This practice gets a big thumbs up from me. X

From start to finish a really pleasant experience and lovely welcoming practice. Reminded of my appointment by text, I arrived early and was greeted by a lady called Lauren who booked me in, and whilst showing me a few new frames whilst I waited to go in I was impressed they’d specifically brought in frames they’d assumed I’d be interested in based on my previous purchases. This in particular impressed me, I felt valued as an existing customer. The Optician was great (Nicola). She explained everything she was checking, talked me through what she checks for, and ensured my chin was comfy! Thanks for such a lovely appointment, see you next time definitely. Adam.
