I bought a Mercedes AMG about 2 months ago it was the 2006 model so I knew there could be some repairs coming up, and just so happens the transmission started popping out of gear after driving for a few seconds so I shut the car off took everything out of the car and decided to have it towed to a mechanic so it can be fixed and could be done professionally, little did I know this was just the beginning of a 7-week nightmare with dishonest mechanics, who charged me for things they claim they did but have no paperwork showing that they did. On top of all that the things they were trying to fix had nothing to do with the issue I was having. I explained to ATL speed work that I needed a transmission looked at because of what it was doing instead when they got the car they claimed he wouldn't start and wouldn't do anything went crank and didn't run all the way up to yesterday they have told me how big of a piece of crap my car is and how it's in such horrible shape. But what's terrible is it raining had no problems with a starter or any issue other than the transmission and the rear heat controls continuously pumping heat that's the only two problems I had with the car when I took it to them unfortunately I don't know any trust worthy mechanics so it was a shot in the dark for me and big mistake they had my car for 5 weeks kept sending me messages about stuff that they wanted me to approve for them to do that had nothing to do with the transmission even though I told them the transmission is all I wanted them to fix so after 5 weeks they called me saying that I would be able to pick up my car that they were done. And it was going to cost me $2,000 so finally I was getting my car back after 8 weeks of having the car I got to drive it a week and a half little did I know that they had not fixed anything on the car and actually now the car has to be jumped off every time to crank the transmission still doesn't work and they have modules unplugged all over the car but they told me the car was ready to come pick up so either way I was ready to pick the car up if I had to fix it myself I was going to do it and all they were talking about is getting the $2,000 from me for "work" they claim they did to my car which was around $1,000 for a starter and another $1,000 for unplugging modules in my car and looking around inside of it. When I got the car back I noticed the things that were unplugged like the battery control module was probably important so I plug it back up and realize the car can no longer crank on its own or run on its own and nothing in the electronics worked at all so obviously naturally called ATL speed work to see what had happened and for what reason my car was in so much worse of shape than it was before. And all they began telling me is that my car is a piece of crap that everything is is wrong with it it's in very poor condition and that they were going to charge me $20,000 to fix it given the car is worth $13,000 in good shape according to Blue book value this includes $5,000 for fluids for which I had just replaced a 2 days before I put it in the shop they said that I needed a battery for Mercedes in a battery control module that was going to cost $2,500 or 3,500 somewhere in there to get and after discovering all these things that they said and did to my carI attempted to take your advice and went through the list of things they said was wrong and their inspection and replaced those things including the battery control module and the battery and the auxiliary battery after I got the old battery control module out I looked and noticed that they had broken a pin off in the battery control module and that was why they had left it unplugged so they made me pay two grand to get my car out of their shop before I could see what they did to it or drive it or anything and told me it was ready to go and actually it was a 1000 times worse than it was before I took it to them as a matter of fact the car doesn't do anything now.
Mr. Ferguson had this car towed from another shop and brought to us. It did not start, it did not run, and overall was in very poor condition from years of neglect and poor quality repairs.
He requested that we evaluate several issues, but was mostly concerned about fixing transmission issues on a vehicle that couldn't be started.
Our factory trained Mercedes technician determined that due to the water intrusion into the fuse panel and corroded electrical control units that a new starter was needed to get the engine to crank as the old one was shorted out. Upon replacing the starter and after hours of electrical troubleshooting, the car finally started but was not charging the battery. After manually charging the battery it was test driven for several miles with no transmission codes or issues.
We found the Battery Control Module to be damaged beyond repair, and the connector was corroded and a pin broken off from major corrosion. The module had to be unplugged for the car to start as it is damaged internally and must be replaced.
We found no issues with the transmission. There were no codes present and it shifted fine with proper voltage from a fully charged battery. However without proper voltage the vehicle goes into limp mode as one would expect, and the transmission does not shift properly.
All work was approved ahead of time by Mr. Ferguson. We fully documented the issues for Mr. Ferguson with videos, pictures, and detailed explanations regarding the status of the electrical system, including the rusted fuse panel connections and the corroded electrical control units and connectors. Mr. Ferguson was kept in the loop every step of the way. We explained there were no transmission issues with a properly operating charging system. We quoted the cost for all the repairs and all repairs were refused by Mr. Ferguson, who picked the vehicle up after receiving full documentation on the state of the vehicle and repairs needed, and receiving an explanation that the vehicle will continue to have major issues due to the electrical system not functioning properly.
After picking up his vehicle that was now starting, running, and driving (unlike when it arrived), Mr. Ferguson had the exact transmission issues that we explained he would have due to the damaged charging system not providing the proper voltage to the transmission control unit and not having the necessary charging system repairs done, and has irrationally decided that it is our fault for not fixing a perfectly working transmission (which if we had would in fact have been actually “ripping him off”).
Mr. Ferguson has since threatened to shut down our business, claimed we didn’t actually replace the starter, and accused us of sabotaging the Battery Control Module. None of these are true of course, because we have far more integrity than that, but it speaks volumes to the mindset of a person recently arrested for terroristic threats.

Right off the top, this team is amazing - 10/10 fully recommended!!
I had run into a slight issue while doing a home brake job on my Audi S5 (never trust cheap torque wrenches), and needed a bit of professional assistance. Having just moved to this side of town, I didn't have a go-to mechanic for my Audis just yet, and decided to give ATL Speedwerks a buzz after seeing the glowing reviews. I'm glad I did, as Chandra, Todd and team are super knowledgeable and awesome to work with. They identified a few other issues on my S5, and provided a detailed deep-dive including tons of pics and videos for insight - this is huge, and other shops should take notice of this. Truly builds trust.
I ended up pulling the trigger on their suggested repairs (PCV valve, motor mounts, and few smaller items) and the team was super communicative throughout the process. The repairs are now wrapped up, and my S5 is running better than ever!
I love that I now have a stellar shop & team to trust with my adventures in the Audi world, and can't recommend these guys enough!! 😃

I don't often leave a review, but I feel I need to because this company is awesome. I have lived in Northeast Georgia for about 26 years and I must say that car repair / service companies are horrible around here. I never felt cared for at any dealership or independent car service locations...until now. I received a mailer from Atlanta Speedwerks and since they are located not too far from me I've decided to let them handle my oil change and brake job. Every single aspect of this service was perfect. We took an online appointment for a Monday morning, and dropped our Golf R at the location on that day. We were greeted nicely and they took our car inside immediately. Later that day I received a text and email detailing the service, inspection and repair estimate. The report was so thorough, I've never seen anything like this. Photos of our car were included, videos were included explaining details on the jobs to be performed, and price estimates for each job. All I needed to do was approve the jobs. I called them to ask some more questions and they answered promptly. Two days later, as promised, my car was ready for pickup. I can tell that these folks are passionate about cars and care about their business and customers. Even though my Golf R is 12 years old, they treated it as if it was a new car. I will be a long time customer from now on. I highly recommend Atlanta Speekwerks.
We really appreciate you trusting us with your VW Golf R, Marcel, along with the amazing review. We are doing our best to help change the way car repair is done, in order to give customers a good understanding of the service and maintenance needed to help avoid costly repairs down the road. Thank you for your patronage and recommendation!

Atlanta Speedwerks is a great auto shop. Todd has put together a phenomenal team. Chandra and Victoria, who are up front, do a great job communicating and the techs take great care and pride in their work. They’ve done a great job with my 911, Cayenne, and X3. I’ve done oil changes, new tires, alignment, spark plugs (service interval 2) and wouldn’t hesitate to bring my cars here for any service needs. They are fair and honest and do exemplary work. Highly recommend.

It's a long story....
I took my 2014 Silverado High Country to Atlanta Speedwerks for a misfire on cylinder 7, causing a loss of power. The issue was diagnosed in a very quick time frame, but the solution was by far more than I expected. I had a collapsed lifter due to a crappy design by GM. They put the AFM system into these trucks, and it was one of the most common complaints for system failure on all models. Before any work could be started, I had to approve a 9k bill for a worse case scenario as a full cam and lifter replacement would be potentially needed. I had to get my truck fixed regardless of the issue at this point. So, we spoke about a few options, then came to an agreement that worked for us both. We decided to perform a full DOD and AFM delete to prevent any further issues from coming up later on. Parts were ordered quickly, and the repair was started soon as all of the parts were received and verified to be correct.
Now for the fun part. I am that customer who is a bit too much sometimes....I call, text, and email constantly asking questions, looking for updates, and adding items not discussed at the beginning...Not one time did anyone give me trouble, or leave me hanging. Everyone was extremely polite, answered all of my questions, and never gave me the cold shoulder like most people would.
Chandra did an amazing job in service, making sure I knew exactly what was going on with my truck throughout the entire process. Good news or bad news, she was there to help me anyway she could. Thank you for being an awesome person!!!
Chris, the technician...boy, he worked his tail off !!! His attitude was amazing, and the attention to detail was beyond outstanding!!! This is the technician you hope for when going to get service anywhere!!!! I can not thank this guy enough for his hard work!!! He definitely needs more praise for a job well done!!!
Last is the good and bad news....
We set a quote for my repairs. I added more items to the list, which obviously makes the bill go up. The starter failed during the time of being worked on, "I knew this was going bad and not a false repair." A few days went by, and the shop told me the truck was ready to go. I was extremely happy my truck was finally fixed! I rushed in and paid my bill, which was over 8k. I was told a code was still present, but the truck needed some miles put on it still to see if it went away. I made it about 1 mile away, and the truck was not running properly. It had sluggish take-off with a nasty noise in the engine when accelerating. I immediately called and spoke with the owner, Todd. He was very polite and said to bring it back, and he would put it back into the shop right away. Again, at this point, it still needed miles put on it to verify if it would level out. Unfortunately, I had plans already and had to wait a few days but was told it was safe to drive for now. The noise didn't calm down but only got worse. I returned the truck, and it went into the shop immediately for a re check of the system. I was worried the engine was failing after the kit was installed, blaming them honestly. That's a horrible feeling BTW , just knowing so much money has been invested into a truck, not worth much more than the repair. Well, I got the call it would be a few hundred more to fix the issue, being other parts had failed. I was stressed , blaming them, and did not think I should pay more when I had already spent so much to have the truck fixed, not worse? I vented to Todd and just about everyone in the shop... and... we spent a few hundred more...lol
BUT I WAS WRONG!!!!
They had to open the engine again...
Welp....it just so happened. We got a failed lifter in the kit that was installed. THIS COULD NOT HAVE BEEN FORSEEN AS THE LIFTERS WERE SOAKED AND ASJUSTED PROPERLY!!!!
Tore engine back down, replaced lifters and presto!!!! Problem Solved!!!
Sounds and performs perfectly!
The cost was high, but quality work is not cheap, and cheap work is not quality.
But I am extremely happy!
JOB WELL DONE EVERYONE !!!!
Dustin it was a pleasure working with you and we appreciate the very detailed and well-written review. This was certainly one of those repairs that had many twists and turns but we are committed to quality work and excellent customer service, and we are glad you stuck with us during lifter debacle 2024 (so many puns there) so we could get your Silverado running well again. Also - we very much appreciated all the snacks you dropped off! Who knew breakfast pizza could be so yummy....although, it IS part of the pizza food group so how could it not be :)

My Porsche Boxster suffered the dreaded PDK sensor failure. I had just about given up on finding some place to repair it when I stumbled upon Atlanta Speedwerks. They were very professional and informative and provided the necessary repairs. It has been driven approximately 1000 miles since the repair was completed without any issues. I would highly recommend Atlanta Speedwerks for any repairs or services.

Atlanta Speedwerks elevates customer service in the automobile space to a new level. For the work done - they were thorough, identified everything needed with a detailed inspection and not just the specific issue I presented to them. I did not feel pushed to be "upsold" anything and they provided an explanation & photos of all recommendations. Personally I highly recommend them and will return for needed services on my vehicle.
Thanks Anne-Michele, it was great working with you on repairs to your 2019 Chevy Blazer. Cabin filter and air filter were changed, spark plugs replaced, oil change, and thermostat replacement should have your vehicle running smooth and carefree for the holidays.
