This was my second opportunity working with Aurea design and I was more than happy with the results, same as I was the first time around. My desires in the feeling I wanted when I walked into my house were met to the dot. I wanted light, peaceful yet cozy and that’s just what I got!

We worked with Maria on several major projects at our home. She assisted with kitchen design, bathroom design, and selection of materials, furniture, window treatments, lighting and paint colors and more. Maria is creative and solution oriented. She made it easy to communicate and was extremely responsive. She gave us expert advice and our property went from being a house to truly being a home. We give her our highest recommendation.

Maria facilitated the order of custom made furniture for living room, bedrooms, patio and dining area. She was flexible to accommodate our ideas and the design style that we wanted. She also gave good suggestions for choice of fabrics (Sunbrella) for the living room sofa and patio seating lounges. She also suggested good stores like Monrry in San Jose, and others where we purchased our home decor. Maria facilitated the furniture delivery and helped us use the same transport for home deco (for an extra fee) which was making the process easier. We were mostly impressed with Maria's wood manufacturer - Luis. Luis has our 5-stars! He and his team did an impeccable job! Our furniture is high quality, done to perfection. We would hire Maria again for that reason. Overall we are happy with the process and the end result.

Our project was to build a new restaurant. Maria was great from beginning to end of the project, from architectural design, all permitting administrative procedures, to planning and managing the entire construction project, to managing all subcontractors, all custom furniture, design, and help negotiate pricing in all aspects, excellent project management, and we were able to complete the entire construction project in record time. She was available at all hours for suggestions, and questions, regarding the project. She goes into battle on your behalf! Great Job Maria!

Amazing designer on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast. Full service, fairly priced, fully bilingual. She has done multiple projects for Marina Pez Vela, including their new Guest Center. She is equally talented in both corporate and private home work. Highly recommended.

We have worked with Maria and Aurea Designs over several large projects, and it has been a fantastic experience. She is extremely detail oriented and very attentive to our needs. She always supports her clients and "goes to bat" when any issues arise. We also lover her taste, modern but comfortable. We would absolutely recommend her and will be using Aurea Designs for all our future projects.

Living in the US I simply didn’t have the time to oversee the remodeling and decoration of my recently purchased Casita is Quepos Manuel Antonio. I interviewed several people and Maria was a standout! She did the most professional presentation of her ideas for the kitchen remodel and decorations for my new place and I was blown away. She took great care in providing the best of everything within my budget. Her taste and professionalism resulted in a beautifully appointed home for me in Costa Rica. The whole process was stress free and the results were remarkable. Her talents as an architect and designer were tested in many ways; overseeing new drainage channels around the house, correcting mistakes in wiring and grading and then providing a beautifully furnished show place for me to call home. Maria was a God send! I’m so pleased with the results and also pleased to now call her my friend. I’d give her 10 stars for this review if that were possible. Thank you Maria!
