I hired Badger Tree Service to cut down two trees, grind three stumps, prune one overgrown Cherry tree, and cut back branches from neighboring yards that were hanging over the fence. They did an amazing job and it is obvious they have pride in their work. They fit me in a week earlier than their estimated time frame, completed the work within a few hours, left my property clean and debris free, AND had beat a competitor's price easily. Jeff is amazing and runs a great business. I will always be calling Badger for any of my future tree service needs.
Edit from 2022: They are still awesome!! Jeff and his whole crew are amazing!! They just removed a dead cherry tree, pruned my apple, willow, plum trees and did a massive thin and raised the canopy of my giant pin oak! Always go with Badger!
Called to get a estimate / price quote to have a small stump ground up / removed from my front yard...
2 weeks after my initial contact. I got a phone call, saying they drove by and gave me a price quote of a very reasonable $100.
I agreed to the price and was then informed that their stump grinding machine was broken. I was told it would be repaired by the end of the week.
I waited another 2 weeks with no contact.
I called on monday, May 4th and was the machine was still broken / broke again and that they "may" be able to get to me over a upcoming weekend...
So after waiting over a month from my first phone call. I called another company and got the job done the very next day (May 5th), for the same $100...
Had a 70 foot tall tree right next to the house that had died a few years ago with large branches falling on the house in windstorms. Badger did a great job taking the tree down and per my request, left me cords of firewood for years to come! I would add that the tree wasn't near any access point, so they had to take down by hand. Not an easy job! They stuck to their price, zero issues, and were very pleasant to deal with.
Badger removed two fir trees from our back yard that had branches between overhead power lines and over our neighbors' yards - they did it quickly and neatly without damaging anything. Then they removed a large ash from our front yard that was overhanging the house roof, and ground up the stump thoroughly. They cut up the trees and larger branches into firewood-sized lengths and chipped the smaller pieces and took them away. Efficient, polite, tidy, and skilled. Highly recommended.
Jeff is fantastic and his crew is competent and efficient. Jeff provides honest feedback whenever asked, never looking to mislead in the short term and prioritizing honesty for a long term customer relationship. We had 43 leyland cypress trees in our yard planted way too close together by the builder 30 years ago. This was leading to them turning into toothbrushes as they reached higher and higher while competing for the same resources. Jeff and his crew trimmed them for us a couple of times in 5 years. During the last snowstorm, 2 of them fell missing our roof by not that much, so we decided to get rid of them entirely as we were embarking on a major home addition. Jeff and his crew were very efficient in cutting down and grinding the stumps of all of these 43 trees within 2.5 days ensuring they coordinated with our neighbors and contractors. We are extremely happy with the result and the price quoted by Jeff was very reasonable for the volume of work.
Excellent service for a reasonable price. They took out a 52 year old Magnolia tree. They arrived as planned and left the yard looking better than it has in years - no more Magnolia leaves. They were in touch with me from the initial quote through the completion of the job. This is the second time I've used Badger. I highly recommend them.
Jeff gave me a verbal a quote with a $2k between the high and low end of this quote. Guess what? Final bill turned out to be more than the high end of the verbal quote.
On the positive side, they finished the job quickly.
They were in a hurry and dumped the cut tree pieces near the front porch. Didn't even stack them well. Did a shoddy job of cleaning after cutting.
I wouldn't use them again. Not trustworthy.
We used Badger Tree Service to remove 6 large pine trees in our back yard. We were referred to them through a friend that raved about their services. We had a couple of different companies give us a bid and Badger came in much more reasonably priced than any others. Jeff and his guys were on time, very professional, knowledgeable, and fast. They took down all 6 trees in one day. We are extremely impressed and highly recommend using them.
