Was referred here by my Dr. I called to make appointment and was told I had to come get blood work done. My Dr had just done all the same blood work the week before and the would not except it. They said I could come pick up paper work pay them $200 and go to Sonora Quest since that is the lab that would bill my insurance for labs. I asked why would I pay $200 if SQ is billing insurance. Told that's what we charge. When that is completed only then will we make an appointment that is at least a month out. Geez. Went to a local wellness clinic that accepted my labs and only charges $75 for the visit. I would not recommend Balance to anyone.

I ended up leaving this office because of the incompetence of the front desk and office policies. I have shown up to appointments only to be told that they didn't have me on the schedule. I have had to reschedule those appointments even after showing reminder emails/texts as proof of my appointment. I have had appointments where a completely different NP was scheduled to see me as their new patient, even though I and the NP I have worked with for years never requested a change and had no idea the transfer of patient was done until the actual appointment. I have waited for hours to be seen. I have had to pay hundreds of dollars when they say I owe what the insurance didn't cover only to have a credit at my next appointment. It doesn't make any sense. They can never explain the billing efficiently or even know what's going on. The ONE time in the years that I have gone to this office, I was 12 minutes late due to traffic, and they had the audacity to tell me I couldn't be seen (waiting room was empty) and then tell me it's $40 to reschedule. No exceptions. After all the times I had to reschedule because of their blatant errors, all the time off work and gas I wasted for it, and they couldn't make an exception for being 12 minutes late. The NP I normally saw at this office was great but it's not worth the constant rescheduling due to their errors, the disrespect for my time, the continued mishandling of billing and payments, and the crappy customer service.

DANGEROUS. That one word - sums up my experience with Balance Hormone. With in the past 12 months I've had to return at least 3 times to the office because they handed me the wrong meds and/or missing key components of injection kit (like missing needle tops), etc...forcing a return trip. Now today I was refused my medication unless I paid a $40 fee for a canceled appointment. Which was canceled by me - but they insisted it was not in time to avoid the $40 fee. Ok fine. Let me get my meds and I will discuss the fee with the doctor. The response was - sorry, no. If you want your meds you have to pay the fee. WOW - health provider?!?! Denying meds unless you pay a fee you disagree with...crazy! Very dangerous operation all around.
