Food 8/10 A homey and traditional Italian spot located south of Williamsburg. I thought the appetizers were better than the main, and the tiramisu was stellar too - dare I say even the star of the show. The prosciutto was nice to start with, and I quite enjoyed the chewiness of the focaccia. The saffron pasta was quite interesting, although a little too watery for my preference. Atmosphere 8/10 Soft and dim lighting, a relatively large interior, and plenty of great conversations. Dark wooden surfaces, elegant and nothing too fussy. Service 8/10 Our host gave us great thoughts on the different cocktails, very friendly and solid experience overall.

I’ve been a patron of Barano for years now and it felt like time to write a review. The food never misses, the drinks are amazing (thank you Austin) and it’s a staple of our community. I recommend the Arancini balls, Bianca pie and their new seasonal lemon pasta! Thanks guys and never leave our neighborhood!

had the worst experience at this restaurant last night. I am battling severe food poisoning from their gnocchi and tiramisu. When I called they showed no remorse and the only thing they said was they would "tell the chef". Truly disappointed and will never eat here

Got pasta delivered and it was so overcooked. Criminally overdone to be honest. if you are a pasta lover, nothing is more disappointing. I’ve had other good experiences here but this delivery was terrible.

Wow the most incredible thing just happened with this restaurant— I really wanted a pizza after surgery, but the DoorDash driver picked up someone else’s order, so I got a salad instead :( I called Barano to check if at least my order was still there, to see if I could send for it to be picked it up, and they informed me it had also been taken, but they would remake my order and send to my house!!! Great service on their part, I shall visit in person when I can walk again.

Had a fantastic dinner here last night! The food was incredible- ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts, tagliatelle bolognese, and tie dye pizza, and I highly recommend all! Seriously all so yummy, and drinks were great too. Service was lovely and overall ambiance is nice. What a neighborhood gem!!!!

We love Barano! Super friendly staff, talented chef and delicious food. Don’t let the location fool you, this spot is as down to earth as they come. Favorites are the mozzarella sticks (trust) and the pasta dishes.

Outstanding food and wine. I’ve been wondering why restaurants in America don’t import (and advertise) European flour ….until barano. Delish pizza, and Sausage gnocchi w black garlic was perfection.

They keep the delivery man standing for a long time.

Worst cacio e pepe pasta I’ve ever had. Too salty and just tasteless. Really disappointed.

This is a beautiful place and lovely atmosphere to bring your loved ones or even a night out with friends. I really like the staff. I came for a birthday and everyone was accommodating and I felt like a Queen. Thank you

Amazing time , great food and drinks , Would definitely come back again. Fred , Olivia and Mamadou was very nice professional and really went out their way to make sure our group was accommodated as much as possible .
