We stayed here for one night and had a quiet, comfortable experience. The reception staff was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and full of great suggestions for things to do in the area. Parking was convenient, which made the stay even more hassle-free. Would definitely recommend!

Highly recommend this hotel with a great location. The owner was very friendly and helpful, he helped us with the tv as we were quite confused and recommended Pukekura park which is a must do in town. I defiantly recommend this hotel if you are staying in New Plymouth.

Suggest not to book via booking .com but deal directly with motel as when I queried the price of $230 a night (being a Wednesday) I was told no movement on cost due to booking via internet... felt room was small / average as well... for $230 a night. no microwave ether, left early...

We have just spent four nights in the New Plymouth Bella Vista Motel, and found it the perfect base for the Garden Festival. The room was spotless and it was lovely to come back each day to a clean, tidy and re-stocked unit. Jimmy and Rachael were very helpful and attended quickly to any help we needed. The location was ideal as there were numerous places nearby to dine. We would highly recommend the Bella Vista Motel.

Family-friendly and accommodating - a close walk to town (museum, Center City, cafes, and restaurants). Nice clean and spacious room (we booked a one-bedroom family unit). We would be happy to stay again next time - thank you for being such great hosts.

Great position in New Plymouth
We have stayed here before and every time its great. Perfectly positioned next to the Len Lye Art center and restaurants just over the road. Clean with everything you need. Can recommend the Snug Lounge for dinner. there is also a great coffee cafe under the King and Queen complex over the road. Bets Ruben sandwich I have ever had.

Booked a room hoping to have a nice relaxing night away and my brother dropped my stuff off to my room and the owner took my room key off him and told him to leave, i couldn't get a hold of the office to find out what was happening and was left with no accommodation for the night, when I finally got a hold of the owner the following day, he was rude and belittling and he told me i had to come back with my license, he also took a photo copy of it without my permission too. I only got $100 back in the end even though i didn't do anything wrong. DONT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!!

This booking made by Tonilee was on behalf another person so they could avoid checking in under their own name. This other person was seen from our car-park security cameras and was removed from site within 3 minutes of them arriving. The key was taken off them & police were informed.
Bella Vista takes the safety & well-being of our guests on-site very seriously, & are proud of the actions we took in this case. We make no apologies, and advise that we would take the exact same action if this happened again.
This review has been reported to Google & we await their decision.

Great Location
Our 1 bdrm unit gave us plenty of room, and was equiped with everything needed for our comfort. Our host was friendly and helpful. The location right in the heart of New Plymouth was quiet at night, and perfect for walking to areas of interest.
