This place is a gem! We stayed as family of 8 including 2 toddles and it worked perfectly for us. Diego’s cocktails and overalls help with organizing activities were top notch! He really made this place home for us!Silvia’s enchiladas were absolutely amazing! The food was so good we never really wanted to leave the place and try any of the restaurants. Sandra was very friendly and kept this place spotless clean!

Our group of 7 friends absolutely loved our stay! The indoor-outdoor atmosphere of the living and dining area is stunning with pool and ocean views from the dining table. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean is gorgeous - the perfect place to take in a beautiful sunset! We loved that the villa has direct access to a small beach that had calm waters for swimming and snorkeling. The villa is stocked with beach chairs and umbrellas so you can enjoy the beach - and Diego, one of the villa staff members, sent us down with a cooler of pina coladas and margaritas. Another bonus is that there is an oceanfront walkway that allows you to walk into town to visit the main beach and Zona Romantica on foot. The staff makes you feel right at home, and the service and food was top notch. Chef Silvia made incredible ceviche, aguachile and homemade flan! Would definitely recommend and love to stay here again!

Expect a beautiful, relaxing experience! Between the gorgeous private infinity pool and the lovely beach - we rarely left the house except for dinner in town. Sylvia and Diego took care of our every need and were a delight to be around.l

We were looking for a nice, private home on the water in Puerto Vallarta - an attempt to recreate a vacation we experienced about a decade ago. Marc and his Villa Marea Alto could not have better met our expectations!Communications from Lu began several months in advance of our trip. We had many questions about process, the recent flooding our of Calle Santa Barbara, Hurricane Ida afternmath, COVID protocols, vaccination status of the staff, pre-departure COVID testing, and the like. Everything, EVERYTHING was addressed completely and we felt as comfortable as we could venturing to Conchas Chinas (just south of the Zona Romantica) for a week.The week before our arrival, the father of one the couples with us passed away. Then, 3 days before, one of the members of the other couple had to bail out due to the possibility of an imminent, unexpected surgical procedure. Lu took it all in stride, meeting and greeting the 3rd couple on their arrival. She was always available, responding usually within an hour. The villa itself is really great. We booked 4 of the 5 rooms, located one level down. Each room has an en suite, private bathroom as well as a balcony (rooms #3 and #4 share a balcony). There were plenty of fresh, clean towels, sheets, and shampoo/wash/conditioner. Don't bring your own! The upstairs is wide and open, all rooms having views of the ocean (Bahia de Banderas), where we saw whales, dolphin, fishermen, and fireworks. We spent one day on our semi-private beach (all beaches in Mexico are public, but some are more challenging to get to without special access - which VMA has. There are beach chairs available, and the beach is sandy with easy access to the ocean for swimming. The interior beach shower was really helpful in removing much of the sand that wanted to back inside with us. One day on the beach, the rest of the week in the heated infinity pool!The best part of our experience were the staff, Silvia and Diego. Silvia is a terrific cook, producing restaurant-quality meals essentially to order. Each evening we discussed what we would like the next day, for us breakfast and dinner. They would obtain whatever was necessary and we reimbursed them for the food they purchased every evening . The next day the cycle began again. Easy peasy. We all recommend the tomato and avocado salad, fresh local fish, camarones, and polpo (shrimp and calamari).Thanks again, Marc, for providing us with such a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.Allan

Fantastic spot! Very enjoyable. Perfect location. 10 minute walk to town by beach. Sylvia and Rene were super helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended.

The Villa is spectacular, the views are breathtaking and you can relax and lull yourself to the sounds of the waves and incredible breeze. Our host was very accommodating. Silvia and Renee, the staff that prepared our meals and helped us every day, are truly incredible. They made us feel at home, and went out of their way to offer help or anything we might require. Priceless...
