Tyler took us on a tour of the forest and clearly explained the program, showed us the available trees, told us the cost of each of the different species and sizes and informed us of the characteristics of each species. He was extremely welcoming, courteous and answered all our questions.

Jessica was a kind, knowledgeable, and patient guide for me and my guests in the forest. It was a beautiful, chilly day. We all enjoyed the beauty of the trees and the serenity of this environment.

What a beautiful, heart-warming forest. In late October, my three grown children and I visited for the first time. The weather was perfect with sunlight filtering through the trees. We knew at once this was the perfect place for my late husband's ashes. Jessica guided us through a compassionate gathering to mix Bill's ashes with rich local earth and flower petals, then to scatter the mix beneath his tree. Our thanks to Jessica for her kindness in guiding us through an emotional and beautiful time.

Our immediate family (a group of 10) recently reunited for my father's memorial service. He would have been pleased with the final resting place chosen for both him and my mom. The setting was perfect, and the weather was ideal. Tyler and Kelly were exceptional hosts, assisting with the ash-spreading process before giving us the privacy we needed. Benches and a UTV were available for those with mobility challenges. Lastly, our dog, who shared a close bond with my father, was also welcomed. Update 11/24: I returned to visit my parent's tree. The experience was priceless! It was mom's birthday and site was unstaffed, but Tyler thoughtfully set up a bench next to our tree. I was alone in the forest, so quiet except for a few chirping birds. This was nothing like my visits to traditional cemetaries with headstones and mowed grass. Amazingly, two redwood seedlings had taken root where my parent's ashes were spread. What are the odds? I'd add an extra star, but google doesn't allow.

I recently had a ceremony here and my experience with Better Place Forrest was truly incredible. Gillian was so helpful and patient and the ceremony for my loved ones ashes was beautiful and healing. My expectations were exceeded and I’m so grateful that I found them.

We are so grateful for the place. We are interned my younger brother here recently. The staff was incredible for the service. And the family and friends feels so at peace in the place, we will be back often to be with Tom and with the beautiful forest.

I have had nothing but a very supportive and wonderful experience with Better Place Forests, from the beginning of the process of selecting a tree in honor of my husband through his memorial service. The forest in Point Arena is beautiful and peaceful--a wonderful final resting place for a loved one. The Better Place Forests team responded to all of my emails and requests promptly and was very patient with all of my questions. They made the process smooth and easy during a very stressful time in my life. The memorial service was absolutely lovely; Gillian and Jessica went to tremendous lengths to accommodate my mother, who had difficulty walking and reaching my husband's tree. They put together a lovely ceremony honoring my husband. I revisited his tree a week after the memorial service, and they had placed the beautiful brass marker I had ordered in a perfect location. All in all a truly lovely experience.

Beautiful experience! It was everything I wanted for my father's ashes. Ashley & Laurie were so kind, helpful and treated the ashes with solemnity & honor. The programs were simple, the marker was so beautiful & it was rush delivered - just in time for the memorial! There were snacks, umbrellas available if it rained ... they think of everything! The forest is absolutely amazing, quiet and serene. I would 100% recommend Better Place Forests as a final resting place for you or your loved ones.

Loved the trees and the stone entry columns. My guide Sara (sp?) did an outstanding job of showing me her trees, actually identifying them and educating me on each variety. We even saw three deer. I'll be back.

Last weekend, my family and I celebrated the lives of our parents while placing their ashes at the base of a maple tree we had purchased. Our parents passed unexpectedly 2 months apart. Every bit of the process was handled with so much care and thought. Being returned to nature in these beautiful woods overlooking a lake is what they wanted. It was truly unique and will be such a beautiful place to come and visit our parents for many years to come. Thank you, Tori and team, for a memory that will last a lifetime.

This was the most beautiful experience we could have in honoring my mother. The staff, grounds, process of mixing the remains and spreading the ashes was seamless. They thought of everything. Thank you for helping our family with everything.

My family and I had a picnic and a wonderful outdoor experience at Better Place Forests. We found my tree and relaxed and ate there overlooking the lake. I brought my two Bichons who enjoyed the walk in the woods.
