As the owner of Bullet Automotive — and as a woman who has personally experienced how frustrating automotive service can feel when communication isn’t handled well — I take your concerns very seriously. Serving women with transparency and respect is foundational to who we are. Our inspection process, photos, digital reports, and written estimates exist specifically to ensure clear communication for all customers and to remove any uncertainty — especially for women who may have had negative industry experiences elsewhere. I’m truly sorry that your visit left you feeling dismissed in any way, because that is the opposite of what we work so hard to deliver.

You visited us for a heating and A/C concern. During our digital inspection (with photos), we identified a leaking water pump — something that directly affects the heating system. We received your authorization (you said your husband authorized the work) to repair the water pump and complete an oil change, and those repairs were completed properly. After the repair, the heat was working as it should, but the A/C continued to blow warm, which indicated a separate issue requiring additional diagnosis. Communicating that next step more clearly is an area where we can improve, and I appreciate you bringing that to our attention.

As soon as our follow-up system flagged that you were unhappy, our Brighton manager reached out right away. We offered:
*A no-charge appointment with our Master Technicians
*Free diagnosis of the A/C system and cigarette lighter concern
*Free replacement of your engine and cabin air filters (previously just parts, no labor, but we offered to cover the parts as a goodwill gesture)
*A detailed estimate for any additional work
*Absolutely no obligation to proceed

We were fully prepared to address any outstanding issues at no cost to you. When a concern arises, we always stand behind our service and make it right — but that can only happen when we’re given the opportunity to re-inspect the vehicle. In this case, the repairs were completed elsewhere before we had the chance, which we absolutely respect. It just negated our ability to resolve the situation.

I also want to gently clarify a few points:
*We do not charge labor for air filter installations.
*You were not charged for any service that was left incomplete; the authorized repairs you approved were completed correctly.

I am genuinely sorry that you felt you weren’t taken seriously. That is heartbreaking for me to hear, especially because supporting and advocating for women in automotive is a deeply personal mission for me.

While I know my team’s intentions were not rooted in bias, I fully understand how certain comments or miscommunication can create that impression, and that is something I am actively reviewing and addressing. Every customer deserves to feel respected, heard, and treated with dignity in our shops.

Your feedback helps us improve our communication, our processes, and our customer experience. Although we weren’t given the opportunity to complete the remaining diagnosis, we sincerely appreciate the chance to learn from your experience.
