I recently had my living room floor refinished by this company, and I couldn't be happier with the results! From start to finish, the experience was smooth and professional. Reza (Ray) was the first person I contacted, and he was incredibly helpful and friendly. He provided clear and competitive quotes and guided me through the process of selecting the perfect color for my floor. At their office, he showed me various samples, and I'm thrilled with how the final color turned out--it's exactly what I chose! The job itself was handled by Alonza and Omar. Both were professional, but I have to give special credit to Omar for his work, especially during the final touch-ups. They made the whole process convenient by moving the furniture themselves and putting it back once the job was completed. Additionally, their machines were efficient in vacuuming most of the dust, leaving very little cleanup for me. The finished floor looks amazing, and I've already received so many compliments. In fact, my friends were so impressed that they've decided to work with the same company for their own floor refinishing and carpet replacement projects. If you're looking for reliable, skilled, and friendly professionals to refinish your floors, I highly recommend them!

As first-time homebuyers, we were diving into the world of flooring, and I did a lot of research. I got quotes from 6 different vendors, spent over three weeks asking every possible question, and honestly, California Flooring & Design was the best choice by far. I primarily worked with Christa, and I can't say enough good things about her. She was an absolute Godsend. From day one, she was super patient, always answering my questions - no matter how big or small - with clear, honest, and straightforward answers. She never once tried to give me the runaround or upsell me on anything. She made me feel completely comfortable and supported throughout the entire process, which is so important, especially as first-time homebuyers! Christa was available to me by phone, email, and even text, and she went above and beyond to help us meet a very tight timeline. Between getting the keys to our new home, our lease ending, and some health concerns that made it urgent to get our floors done, Christa made everything happen seamlessly. She even drove out samples too me because I am disabled and cant drive and we were on a huge time crunch! She really advocated on our behalf to make sure we got our floors installed on time, and I'll be forever grateful for that. I TRULY hope her boss reads this and gives her the recognition, and a bonus she deserves for sealing this deal! Heibat, the flooring expert and manager, was also amazing. When he walked into our home, he immediately recognized the type and color of the flooring the previous owners had used (they didn't even know). Heibat is truly an expert in his field and gave us excellent advice on how to proceed. He was incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and made sure we only did what was necessary. It was obvious that he has a deep understanding of flooring and cares about getting things right. Heibat also made sure we got the right product for our space, and I completely trusted his recommendations. The original floors we were trying to match were installed over 10 years ago and he found the perfect color and match. SEE PHOTO And then there's Omar, the installer - WOW. He was by far the quickest and most efficient installer I found during my whole search. Not only did he work fast, but his craftsmanship was outstanding. The floors look absolutely gorgeous, and his attention to detail was perfect. You can tell Omar takes pride in his work, and he made sure everything was done right the first time. We couldn't have been happier with his work. As for the pricing - honestly, I was impressed. I did get one quote that was slightly cheaper (by less than $350), but the value from California Flooring & Design was unbeatable. The quality of the product, the professionalism of the team, and the outstanding customer service made it 100% worth it. With other companies, I would've been dealing with a lot of hassle, but California Flooring & Design took care of everything for us. It was a total breeze! From them being able to order the product, bring it, install and insure it! No hassle of having to work with a retailer and then a contractor, it was ALL IN ONE! If you're a first timer, want to save money or on a time crunch, THIS IS THE WAY TO GO! I will absolutely choose California Flooring & Design again for any future flooring needs, and I highly recommend them to anyone! Christa is a total gem and the MVP of this place, Heibat is an expert who should definitely be respected for his knowledge and skill, and Omar is a top-tier installer who gets the job done quickly and flawlessly. California Flooring and design did my floors 3 years ago and they started to buckle. I called them to fix it, hoping it would be under warrantee. I felt bullied and pressured by Ray into thinking I caused the problem with my floors. He thought it was water damage. I agreed to pay $2400 to fix them. When they lifted the floor, it was obvious the leveling cement was the problem, not water. I was told there was only a 2 year warrantee. The owner, Ray, did not want to admit the installation was done improperly even though it was obvious by the pictures that were taken. I still had to pay the full $2400 to fix the poor installation that was done 3 years ago. Oh, and icing on the cake they broke something when they moved it to do the floors. $325 to fix that.

We stumbled upon this place while looking for new flooring. From beginning to end it was a five star experience. The sales people were very knowledgeable and experienced. No high pressure sales tactics. Prices and quality were great. Lastly, the workers that installed the flooring were professional and very skilled. I would highly recommend.

In all my material shopping for our house, this place had the sweetest staff and amazing floor choices!!! At a great price!!!! Ray was so knowledgeable and fun to work with! Highly recommend!!!!

Such good work! We have used this company in the past and been very pleased with their performance. So, when we wanted to extend hardwood floors into the bedrooms of our home we, of course, thought of them. They were so helpful is securing the same product for us, and making sure it was a good match. Product came quickly and job was completed, with great effort, in two days. Nice. Helpful. Responsive. What more could you ask?

We had an excellent experience with California Flooring Design (CFD), they are great. It was extremely refreshing to meet and become educated in flooring details with Tom, our CFD sales person who knows more, by far, than any other sales person we had spoken with before meeting him. The installation crew and Ray (CFD owner) worked very closely with us to resolve one or two issues that appeared during the demolition phase of the project. Ray was extremely responsive and motivated to make sure our project came out perfectly and to ensure we had a great customer experience. As a result, we now have absolutely stunning red oak flooring installed throughout our house that has made a huge difference in the way it looks and feels. I highly recommend California Flooring Design.

Highly recommend this company. Dave is so knowledgeable about the types of floors and woods and gave us a thorough estimate. Jose did a fantastic job on our installation. He is a powerhouse and got so much done every day. He is very talented in his work and is a true craftsman. Our floors, baseboards and casings came out perfect! And he is a really nice guy and always cleans up the "site" every day. Communication from the company was amazing and they completed everything on the timeline they set with us. It was the most smooth and pleasant home improvement experience we have ever had!

These guys were awesome. Jose is absolutely amazing and pays attention to detail. Super nice guy and respectful when I had a meeting to do the "quieter" work. He made sure to clean up during any of the prep work and we had minimal dust compared to other remodels I have done. Dave coordinated any small issues we had during the job. We got several quotes and although they were a bit higher they were able to get us in when we needed the job done and had it done in the time they promised. I posted some photos from during and after. Also they were able to do no transitions throughout which we absolutely love. Also we chose SK LVP New York for the flooring. Again good company to work with and made this work easy. And they quoted almost close to the exact amount of leveling bags we needed. Again definitely recommend these guys.

CFD is a pleasure to do business with. They have been in business for decades and their experience shows. They have great install teams who installed wood floor on 2 floors in my home along with stairs. They do exceptionally precise work. Ive used them twice, once in 2023/2024 and also in 2014..... and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again

Our flooring looks great. CFD has great selection, competitive pricing, and better warranty than most other companies. CFD was able to complete our project within our very tight timeline. When we ran into a snag at the end of the project, the team at CFD stayed in constant communication with us and 'made it right'. Overall would recommend CFD.
