Outstanding - 3 day guided trip We did the 3 day guided Whanganui river trip. I cannot say enough about Phil, Kirsty and their team. Everything was so organised and well thought out right from our initial booking to biscuits and a drink as we unpacked on our return. Kirsty answered our endless questions before the trip and spent time chatting us through options for our friend who had a broken arm. Phil and his team of guides were amazing. We were entertained and kept well informed but more importantly were given really great guidance so that we were safe and enjoyed our trip. Phil made sure everyone was comfortable regardless of skill level.The food was so much more than I expected - cooked breakfasts, chicken pasta and salad, steak and salad and even ice-cream on the first night! The wine with dinner was also a lovely addition.The equipment was high quality and even putting up a tent for this novice wasn't an issue with Phil's great instruction. Would highly recommend.

5 day Whanganui River Adventure A fantastic experience and very well organised. The river journey was beautiful with a good balance of calm water to relax and rapids to feel challenged (with the odd capsize or two). Our fantastic guides Sam and Elliott were very professional, great fun, hard working and made us feel safe at all times. The food was excellent and plentiful, the tents and mats comfy. A wonderful experience - highly recommended!

Highly recommended A fantastic experience from start to finish. Great communication, no problem accommodating a Coeliac diet, excellent motel accommodation before and after, close to lots of yummy food options and the Tongariro Crossing we added on at the end. Our guides, Sam and Elliott, were fantastic - highly trained, unflappable, fun to be with, hard working and were soon part of some very lively and informed conversations. The river itself was great with patches of gentle water and space for paddling together and yarning, and lots of faster water to excite and challenge. We learned to read the river and we made some mistakes and capsized a few times. This never felt unsafe. Our tents and air mattresses were very good and for a five day trip there was plenty of yummy food. Access to the DOC campsites each night does require good fitness.

Whanganui River experience Fantastic trip! Beautiful scenery. Phil and the crew were amazing. Excellent safety but 100% comiited to having a fun experience for all ages.Great food and quality equipment. Highly recommend!

highly recommend We completed the 3 day trip, awesome food (thanks Kirsty!) and magnificent scenery. Great banter from Phil and the guides, easy to use boats and good quality equipment and tents. Highly recommend and will be telling everyone about how awesome this trip was.

Wonderful Whanganui Our trip down the Whanganui river with MATT and SAM as guides was terrific. They were experienced, helpful and very cheerful.The equipment was great, as were the food and beveridges (and very plentiful. Thank you Kirstie). Phil very kindly accommodated us to fit in with our timing. A wonderful and beautiful experience.
