Carriage Hill Retirement is the most lovely cleanest sweetest environment I have ever seen What a wonderful community. The new Management and nursing staff are fantastic. The residents are happy, cheerful and love the wonderful activities ! The residents are the best to be around. The staff are wonderful if you ever need anything the staff is quick to get it done. Very clean and always has fun activities going on.

The location is wonderful, a short drive from Lynchburg ad a short drive from Roanoke. Perfect for parents of children living in the city. Bedford is a quiet town surrounded by beautiful scenery which gives Carriage Hill a nice, homey feel. The facilities are kept clean, and the staff is very caring. I can't say enough good things about this community - a hidden gem!

I had the pleasure of meeting memory care staff and residents this week. Your staff have a true passion for memory care residents. Staff are calm, soft spoken, and very respectful. I have enjoyed my time at Carriage Hill.

Look at how many reviews here are from the staff! Not exactly unbiased. I have no experience with this facility, but I do with the owner, TJM Properties in Clearwater, Florida. When I had an issue at another of their facilities about a resident I have power of attorney for, I left several messages for general partner Terry McCarthy and was totally stonewalled. No email or calls were returned by him or his administration. My feeling was the administration cared more about receiving the resident’s monthly rent than about her well-being. A resolution came only when the resident was hospitalized and, thankfully, not allowed to return to the facility because it was not a safe environment for her. If you want details, I’m easy to find by googling my name and “writer.”

Carriage Hill is a in a great quiet location with plenty of space to explore inside and out. . The residents and staff are like family. This is a fantastic community.

Carriage Hill is lovely facility nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains with views of the Peaks of Otter. It is a great facility to work at - I truly enjoy coming to work.! My fellow coworkers are great and the residents have really welcomed me as I begin my career here. The residents are happy and well cared for because the staff is AWESOME!
