I highly recommend Clayborne!! Clay did an amazing job helping me prepare for the GRE in 2014/2015! He did a great job making tutoring enjoyable. Thanks to his help, I was able to get the score I wanted and was accepted into several PhD in clinical psychology programs. I am now a licensed clinical psychologist, focusing on forensic psychology, and I still recommend Clay's services, as well as the vocab program we used during the tutoring (Membean).

I started at Clayborne with a 1220 PSAT and the final test I took this October was a 1540, I'm beyond happy with the result! I had improved almost 200 points after the first several sessions and continued to steadily increase after that. The instructors know the test very well, so you will get specific attention not only on academic areas of questions based on what the SAT asks but also learn tips and tricks about the test itself. I also reliably ran out of time during the test when I started and learned to better manage my time while also increasing performance!

Phenomenal guidance and tutelage, specifically from Clay Daniels! Our daughter saw a significant increase in her CLT score from the time she started with Clayborne to when she finished. There was no magic potion that Clayborne prescribed. It was slow and steady work with slow and steady progress that culminated in a score that exceeded our goals and hopes. I cannot say enough good things about the team at Clayborne. I have used them for many years, but most recently for GMAT prep. I’m proud to say that I made an 190 point improvement in only 6 weeks and, honestly, I did not think it was possible. Many would say that I could have made that large of an improvement just studying from a prep book if I did it long enough, but I do not think that is true and it would’ve been impossible in such a short time frame. Their tutoring has been so vital over the years because they take the time to understand how I think so they can explain the concepts in a way that makes sense to me, which most of the time is not how it is taught in traditional schooling. Clayborne is unique because of their personalized approach and out of the box thinking. In a traditional school setting, a test prep book/software, or even with other tutoring companies, that type of attention is just not possible. I’m positive that if I would have kept at the studying and tutoring, my score could have improved even more. However, that wasn’t necessary because it worked, I got into a top 25 MBA program and that made all the tutoring completely worth it.

Clayborne is great! Both of our children did test prep with them--our daughter for the SAT and our son for the ACT. In both cases, the improvement was astonishing--well beyond what we were expecting. Most of all, though, we appreciate the personal touch and the availability and kindness of the teachers. Scott and Alex were wonderful, and our kids really benefited. Highly recommended!

I learned so many tricks and strategies for the ACT. Although lots of my classes ended up being virtual, I ended up scoring a 33 on the ACT.

I did LSAT tutoring with Clayborne with Clay and was able to improve my LSAT score by several points! I am extremely pleased with the quality of the tutoring - Clay was very helpful breaking down questions and targeting problem areas. The materials he shared with me were very helpful for all aspects of taking the test. Furthermore, he was very knowledgeable about the test and extremely accommodating of my schedule during tutoring and structuring the tutoring around my desired dates to take it. I would highly recommend Clayborne tutoring to anyone!

Being tutored for the LSAT and assisted by the professionals at Clayborne Education was an extremely positive, helpful, worthwhile opportunity. I felt like I was truly cared about and that there was a desire for me to succeed. They supported me well and my tutor, Clay, helped me out as much as he possibly could to work with my busy schedule. They also made tutoring accessible and available during the time of quarantine that we find ourselves in. While maintaining communication consistently and our tutoring sessions, nothing was missed, even when tutoring was being done over a Zoom call.

Clay helped me improve my ACT by four points (in twenty sessions total), and was able to tailor his teaching to fit my learning style, filling in the two year gap in my math education. I would not hesitate to recommend Clayborne's guided program for ACT testing. The team is professional and responsive and clearly explain the process and path to achieve goals. The master level tutors our daughter worked with were encouraging and positive and also provided a sense of confidence and understanding of what can be a stressful undertaking. I do suggest only going this route if you have a motivated student. It does require a real dedication to attend all the sessions, homework and practice tests but our daughter achieved the goal the Clayborne team helped set for her raising her ACT 5 points. Where some schools provide outright merit aid based on test scores, this investment can make serious financial sense. If you find your child needs to hit a specific number to reach a goal... Clayborne can consult with you no-charge at first and give your student options before you decide to invest in tutoring.
