I recently had discectomy surgery for a herniated disc L4-L5. After getting a few different opinions and having one Doctor who recommended fusion surgery I met Dr. Slavin. I was impressed how he sat down and went over my MRI with me and how confident he was in being able to help me out. He believed fusion wasn’t the way to go and a discectomy was not only the right thing to do but one where he would get me out of the pain I was having. After surgery he was so encouraged and so excited that it was a success. It made me feel great knowing the pain I was in was going to go away. Week by week I get better and better and so glad I went with Dr Slavin. He’s so positive and made me feel comfortable from the first day. His entire staff are very friendly as well.

Totally recommend Dr Slavin. He is thorough, takes his time, really thinks about the best possible treatment plan. Awesome! Operated on my husband - two neck fusions and my hubs is feeling so much better.

Wonderful experience that changed my life. Without any pressure on behalf of the staff of CNS, I decided to have spinal fusion surgery to correct spondylilothesis of L4L5 and stenosis (laminectomy). The surgeon Dr. Justin Slavin performed the procedure with his PA. I had 1 week of post op pain managed well with medication. By day 13 I was down to the occasional Tylenol. I have just completed one month of PT ( 1 hr twice a week) and feel remarkable! No more sciatica, no more searing pain. A new lease on life. I’m thrilled and sorry I waited so long. Highly recommend.

I can't thank Dr. Slavin and his staff enough. I have been physically fit and active all my life. Now turning 50, I had disc issues and unbearable pain which lead me to weeks of bed rest and finally the ER. After consulting with Dr. Slavin, he took immediate steps at the severity of the situation and I was booked for surgery. I am currently 3 1/2 months post-op and I feel amazing. I am slowly working up to the normal activities and exercise i had done prior. For those with back pain, you understand the feeling. Dr. Slavin has given me my mobility back and i am so grateful. I had a wonderful experience with Dr Slavin, who I went to for a second opinion, and ultimately had as my surgeon. He spent as much time with me as I needed to answer questions. He has a wonderfully calm demeanor. He and his staff were great before, during and after my surgery. Dr Slavin is a very patient man who will answer all your questions thoroughly, he even brought information up that I didn’t think to ask about. I highly recommend him. The staff is equally amazing and patient. His nurse Gabby walked me thru all the pre op tests and insurance details. It is truly a scary thing to have spine surgery and they were there for me every step of the way.

Dr Slavin is world class. Amazing surgeon and better person. My daughter is almost one year post spinal fusion and is doing amazing. Her quality of life is so much better. He made every step feel safe and supported. Post surgical hospital stay visits every day by him or his colleague. The staff is equally amazing. Helpful, responsive and never makes you feel like a burden. Ps - something that sets him apart that my daughter noticed is that after your appointment, he will personally walk you back to the waiting room. That kind of bedside manner is special.

Dr Slaven and Dr Raab are two amazing surgeons. They did a wonderful job on my surgery. Their staff is also amazing. Very prompt at getting back to you and answering all your questions. I love them all!!!! Highly recommend any one of them at their office.
