It’s been almost a year since my wife Barbara underwent spinal surgery. Prior to this surgery, she has gone through hell with a number of medical issues, most significant was the stenosis and scoliosis which contributed to a severely bruised spinal cord. We consulted with a neurologist and two orthopedic surgeons. They were of the opinion that there was very little that could be done other than pain management and that Barbara would, most likely, be confined to a wheelchair within six months. This did not resonate well with me. I spent countless hours researching her diagnosis and neurosurgeons and found, who we call, our “miracle worker”. Dr. Raj Raab, a neurosurgeon, at the Centers for Neurosurgery, Spine & Orthopedics (CNSO) in Wayne, NJ gave us a ray of hope. Dr. Raab consulted with us and was able to devise a procedure to specifically address Barbara’s issues. A month after our consultation, on June 24, 2024, Barbara had her surgery and by mid-August of last year we were able to take our annual Jersey Shore family vacation and a cruise in September that we had put off for over two years. Today, Barbara is virtually pain free and is walking on her own.
Dr. Raab’s creativity in adapting an anterior cervical spine fusion procedure to correct her thoracic spine issues literally gave Barbara her life back. Prior to the surgery she was in excruciating pain and bound to a walker. On numerous occasions, she had to be rushed to the Emergency Room due to extreme pain and falls. Pain Management offered strong medications but little relief. Dr. Raab and his staff at CNSO are competent, compassionate, professional and personable in a very friendly environment. An absolutely skilled and amazing surgeon; our “miracle worker”. In situations like this you need persistent and never give up hope. For anyone who may be experiencing any spinal issues we would highly recommend Dr. Raab and the CNSO team.

My wife Anne had the distinct pleasure of meeting with Dr. Raab today. I also had the distinct pleasure of meeting with Dr. Raab today and in December 2023. On both occasions Dr. Raab was an outstanding professional, with in-depth knowledge and a person who took the time to really listen and to really explain all your concerns and his opinions. A regular down to earth person, a gentleman, who is not on an ego trip as are some doctors in his honored profession. Dr. Raab puts you at ease and is not quick to make any hasty decisions which may be invasive to you as a patient. Dr. Raab takes a well thought out and conservative approach to your issues. I made a very big mistake after my visit with Dr. Raab in 2023 when I did not proceed with Dr. Raab with my much needed surgery. I ended up having very invasive surgery with another doctor, whose name I will not mention, whom I believe survives on his past reputation only. That other doctor does not have the time to listen to you, or to even provide accurate information in his medical reports. I must apologize to Dr. Raab for my mistake in not choosing Dr. Raab to be my surgeon who should have operated on me. I would not hesitate in recommending this fine and qualified Neurosurgeon. I would be remiss in not writing this stellar review about Dr. Raab.

There's not enough accolades for Dr. Raab he's a medical rock star. I hope I get sick just to have him work on me again! He should be on TV right next to Dr. Phil. TY. I also see you have a perfect record all 5 star way to go too bad no Olympic sport for medicine. Dr's are the stars of human achievement right up there with astronauts and engineers! And BTW I haven't forgotten all your help as well Lisa.

Dr R RAAB is an excellent surgeon and compassionate doctor to his patients. To me and to my nephew ! Very thorough and professional, knows exactly what’s going on and explains the diagnosis and what’s best for management. A few Doctors nowadays that you can fully trust with your health and Life. Thank you to his wonderful staff as well. Very helpful and organized. Always open to help you with scheduling and facilitate anything for example making it easy for us to get appointments and Xray we needed.

I absolutely love Dr Raab! He operated on me when my back and neck were broken and I had a really bad surgery from a doctor in New York City who sliced my spinal column and messed up all of my nerves and hardware. It was an intense surgery and if I recall correctly lasted about 15 hours. Dr Rob has got a terrific bedside manner, he is empathetic, understanding and gets to know your personality. I now need another surgery and I would not go to anyone but him. As far as I'm concerned he's an absolute genius and God put him on this Earth to correct humongous problems with your spine and neurological system. All of my nerves were completely wired wrong after the break and having to remove old hardware that was replaced in my back incorrectly and removing a 10-pound suit of meningo seal from the leak of brain and spinal fluid into the nape of my back. I don't think many people could have accomplished this and had me up and walking again. I have called him my archangel since 2010. I now live in Arizona and I have gone all the way to New Jersey to see him so that he can do this surgery. I don't trust anybody else nor does anybody else want to operate on me because of the high risk that I am. He also has a wonderful woman working in his office named Gabby Camporeale who goes above and beyond her call of duty to make sure that every eye is dotted and every t is crossed. She's a perfect match for Doctor Raab because he will not do anything that is not 100% on the money. I'm waiting surgery with him again but totally not nervous at all about it because it's him! There is no better as far as I'm concerned I have been to many doctors who have avoided me because of the complications in my back. I truly love this man (not in a weird way) and I trust him with my life. I have prayed for him and his family from 2010 in November to the current day for saving my life and making me a normal individual. He is a wonderful human being on top of being an absolute genius doctor. There isn't enough space or paper in the world for me to explain every attribute that he has! He has everything! I trust my life with him. 🙏🙏❤️😁
