College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Portland Reviews

Received estimate and appointment confirmation via text. Then phone call to reschedule for next day because they were overbooked. I agreed. Text confirmation of revised appointment. The crew arrived two hours early. I am a home caregiver and was not ready for them. I hadn't even showered and started my day yet. I carried most of my items to my driveway to facilitate the removal. One was in the back yard. They removed my items as requested. AFTER the job was completed, I was advised of a $50 heavy fee for the backyard item even though they had a photo in advance. I showed them the text quote with photo and was told the estimator should have known better. Then they added a 2.5% card processing fee. Neither additional fee was disclosed in the text quote I received and the fees added some 45% to the bill. This is bait and switch. Standing outside in my pajamas, I wasn't about to argue. I paid the fees. The crew said they'd bring the situation to the attention of the owners. From the response below, the owner wants me to call them to discuss. Customer outreach dictates they call me to offer a resolution. Lesson learned. I simply cannot recommend College Hunks.

Matthew and Luke from college hunks were awesome. We had a little hiccup in the timing, but they accommodated us and got people out here on time. They were fast, efficient, friendly, and just amazing! We had a full recliner couch, and a full recliner Loveseat, a twin mattress, a twin bed frame dresser, a nightstand, a side table and a mirror. They had it out of the house in less than 11 minutes. No scuff marks or damage. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs junk removal. Just awesome!!!!

Matthew and Livi were prompt and professional in removing our old piano. Wes was great about calling beforehand to let us know when they would arrive. The office people were friendly and helpful over the phone. The cost matched the estimate and I'm very pleased with this company!
