Wundervolle TauchgÀnge
Wir haben uns im Vornherein ĂŒber die Tauchschule "Dive Point Rannalhi" im Internet informiert und uns entschieden, diese Möglichkeit im Urlaub zu nutzen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden! Ich habe hier meine ersten Taucherfahrungen gesammelt. Meine anfĂ€nglichen Ăngste sind bereits durch das VorgesprĂ€ch mit Evelyn (meiner Tauchlehrerin) schnell verschwunden. Sie hat alles super erklĂ€rt. Im Wasser ist sie auf meine BedĂŒrfnisse eingegangen, so dass ich schnell Vertrauen gewonnen habe und zur Ruhe finden konnte, um mit ihr gemeinsam die Unterwasserwelt zu erkunden. Sie war wĂ€hrend des Tauchvorgangs immer an meiner Seite und hat mich sicher gefĂŒhrt, so dass ich das Tauchen sehr genossen habe. Die Schönheit und Vielfalt der Meeresbewohner ist einfach unglaublich! Danke, fĂŒr die wundervollen Erlebnisse!
Fantastic Dive center
I was lucky enough to come back to this beautiful island for a second time to celebrate my 60th birthday, and one of the things I wanted to do apart from relax was to get back under the water having experienced the begginer dive on the dive centres reef back in 24, I arranged the beginner repeater dive with Tom which went very well, Tom told me I could do a dive from the dive boat which I agreed to, so the following day we went to rannalhi caves for my third dive, reaching depths of around 18 meters I believe, I can honestly say that if you think the island is beautiful you need to get under the water, forget snorkelling and take this next step, you really won't be disappointed Tom and all the crew that run the dive center are so friendly, so just go ahead and book.
Ich war Ende November 2 Wochen mit meiner Familie auf der Insel und habe mit der Tauchbasis ein paar TauchgÀnge unternommen.
Checkin und Betreuung war völlig unkompliziert und machte ein sehr professionellen Eindruck. Andy, Karo, Marco und der Rest der Crew, sowie die Bootscrew waren zu jederzeit nett, hilfsbereit und hatten auch immer zum plaudern ein offenes Ohr.
Die TauchplĂ€tze wurden nach den WĂŒnschen und Qualifikationen der Taucher ausgesucht und passten stets hervorragend. Auch auf dem Bott war alles entspannt, auch die guten Briefings wurden sowohl in deutsch und auch in englisch abgehalten und gaben die Unterwassergegebenheiten sehr gut wieder. Es wurde auch immer vorab ein Strömungscheck gemacht und der Tauchgang dann je nach Strömung entsprechend angepasst. Das ist auf Basen leider auch nicht immer selbstverstĂ€ndlich.
Es war Unterwasser im Gegensatz zum Roten Meer alles vorhanden, angefangen von Adlerrochen, Schwarzspitzen und Grauen Riffhaien, Schildkröten und jede Menge andere kleine und grosse Schwarmfische. Lediglich die Mantas lieĂen sich leider an den entsprechenden Spots nicht blicken. DafĂŒr war genug anderes Getier vor Ort.
Sollten wir die Insel wieder besuchen, werde ich die Basis auf jeden Fall wieder in Anspruch nehmen und kann sie uneingeschrÀnkt weiterempfehlen.
Weâve spent 10 days on Guaraidhoo,, and had a marvelous time diving with Dive point.
With the exception of a whale shark we saw everything that you can expect in this area.
Our dive guide Meer did an super job, found the best places for diving, we had a great group of helping people on On board, all together we had a great time with the dive point crew! Com

A truly amazing diving experience
I spent a fabulous 12 days diving with the team at DivePoint Rannalhi. Although expecting some rain & rough weather, I had 12 perfect sunny days so the sea was very calm. Visibility varied but overall good to excellent. One of the big attractions is the Manta cleaning station which provided 3 mantas on one occasion with some great photos but none on the other visits - but interesting nosing around the area anywayOverall, plenty of varied fish & nudibranchs to photograph and some testing diving in currents which was super fun.I must highlight the entire DivePoint team who are really good and made my holiday unforgettable. The diving center team is incredibly professional - truly the best weâve experienced anywhere in the World. We dived with Evelyn, and her attitude, care and approach were absolutely wonderful!! The equipment preparation and support on the boat were top-notch. The offer of more than 50 dive sites is truly impressive. On our next visit, diving here will be an absolute must!

Best Dive school I've ever been.I,ve been for the fourth time at dive point Rannahli, there's not another dive school in the world offering the same service. Yes and it's true you really dive with friends. The instructors are very nice, you can learn a lot from them , and they make you feel safe. Ich habe mehrere TauchgÀnge mit DivePoint Meedhupparu gemacht. Die Organisation der Basis ist in Ordnung, die Briefings waren gut und klar verstÀndlich, und die TauchplÀtze selbst sind wirklich sehenswert.
Trotzdem hat mich die allgemeine AtmosphĂ€re der Basis enttĂ€uscht. Der Umgang mit GĂ€sten wirkt eher sachlich und kĂŒhl. Was mich besonders gestört hat: Bereits auf der Bootsfahrt zum allerersten Tauchgang wurde uns erklĂ€rt, welche zusĂ€tzlichen Kurse wir uns âĂŒberlegenâ sollten und wie viel diese kosten wĂŒrden. Es wurde nichts aktiv verkauft, aber der Moment war unpassend. Auf dem Weg zum ersten Tauchgang möchte man sich auf das Tauchen freuen und nicht gleich ĂŒber neue Ausgaben nachdenken. Das wirkt distanziert und nimmt einem etwas die Leichtigkeit.
Abgesehen davon war die Betreuung in Ordnung, aber eben nicht herzlich. Man merkt wenig Begeisterung oder persönliches Interesse. Im Vergleich zu anderen Tauchbasen auf den Malediven, wo oft eine sehr warme, motivierende Stimmung herrscht, fĂŒhlt sich DivePoint eher neutral und technisch an.
Die AusrĂŒstung war brauchbar und funktional, ohne besondere Highlights. Die Tauchspots rund um die Insel waren dafĂŒr wirklich gut und bieten schöne EindrĂŒcke.
Fazit:
Die TauchplÀtze sind gut und die AblÀufe organisatorisch solide, aber die Basis wirkt wenig herzlich und eher distanziert. Wer einfach nur tauchen will, wird zufrieden sein. Wer eine freundliche, begeisterte und einladende Tauchbasis erwartet, wird hier eher enttÀuscht.

Base managers Mika and Evelyn and their team are just great. Because of you, we were now on the 2. Here we go. Everything is just right here. The kindness and helpfulness cannot be surpassed. You can totally relax when they're there. Manta rays, tons of sharks as well as turtles we could observe. During current dives, Evelyn and Mika feel safe and well briefed. You watch out and see immediately if anything is wrong with the equipment. Underwater, they show everything I wouldn't have noticed. Reyan fills the bottles and arranges for the equipment to be flushed out. The super great boat crew assembles the equipment and allows the equipment to be taken off while still in the water, which is a considerable relief for back problems. The new dive boat is very pleasant with many storage facilities, shower and toilet.
Diving with friends comes true here.
We went to the 2. On Rannalhi, because of the motto that came true here: "Dive with Friends." Mika, Evelyn and their team make every dive an unforgettable experience. You can't feel better looked after and cared for. Very nice is the German/French order: The freshly rinsed diving equipment is stored every day in a crate assigned to the guest, which is then found on the boat. On the boat, the pampering program continues: The buoyancy vest is already attached to the bottle, a sign with the oxygen content of the nitrox filling hangs on it. The briefing is interesting and detailed, the dive groups small and coordinated. The crew of the boat is helpful in docking the equipment and is incredibly attentive and friendly.Underwater the great care then continues, there is so much to see, even tiny little snails and shrimps that I would never discover without a clue. One highlight was the Mantapoint, where we could actually observe two giant Fantas with a span of 4 meters. The current dives were also supervised, finally I manage the buoy shooting to some extent, which I have to thank the patient Mika. The Rannalhi Sea Turtle Identification Project is a great thing, we were allowed to choose the name of a Green Sea Turtle that found its entry as the 204th recorded turtle. Also the coral "reforestation project" on the house reef is a great thing. Thanks for the wonderful time, we are already planning our next diving holiday with and with you.

Finally Rannalhi, Island No. 10 on the Maldives in around 20 years. What should we say. Not only a highly qualified and professional team, friendly, helpful and motivated rather diving with friends- like they say. It is so true, from day one we felt welcomed and being at home no warm up needed. The team including everyone was super super super and we enjoyed every day together with them. Under water sharing beautiful moments, over water always a helping hand, good discussions and a lot of fun.
