Really well kept facilities and wholesome atmosphere

Amazing family oriented camp ground! Clean, organized, lots of fun activities, lake access, dunes access, I mean what more could you ask for! Can’t wait for the next stay! Highly recommended!

This is the only campground our grandkids want to be at! We trust fully their safety when the go out to play.

We’ve been to a many resorts in Michigan and Florida by far. This is our favorite place to stay. Definitely will be coming back for the 2025 camping season.

We were very warmly welcomed at Dunes Harbor, and we were so impressed by the quality of their campground! It’s a beautiful, peaceful, family-friendly location with tons of activities for all ages. The setting is perfect, and the campsites are large with plenty of space to spread out. All our fellow campers were wonderful folks who were clearly enjoying the Fall Festival activities available for the guests, and it was easy to see how this place has earned such an excellent reputation. We will be back!

Large very level lots with nice large concrete picnic table pads. Store offers a lot, next to a nice size pool. 24 hour laundry, Bathhouse is clean with nice ADA showers with seats,handhold and hand sprayer. We stayed on a fall festival weekend with rock climbing and inflatables for the kids and archery, axe throwing for adults. Saturday night was a September Halloween with 100s of kids going camper to camper for their treats. Very nice campground, highly recommend... And reasonably priced, full or partial hookups.

Dunes harbor camp is an excellent camp ground. Huge, shady campsites is what we found with lovely fire rings that are easy to use and big enough for our cooking fires. Every staff member we encountered was kind, friendly and courteous. Bathrooms were very well maintained and clean. The pool area was spotless and sssoooo much fun!! Plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing. Our group of kids was never bored and we all loved it and thought it was an exceptional camping experience.

We have been camping for more than 20 years and this was by far the best kept campground we have ever stayed at; the restrooms were immaculate! The pool is a mini little waterpark for the smaller children and even our teens enjoyed the water slide! Let’s not mention the cute little area to enjoy hand dipped or soft serve ice cream with your family after a long busy day! We will be back!!!!

I found Dunes Harbor Family Camp after hours of searching the night before for an electric campsite in the U.P. for a spontaneous camping trip with my family. I'm grateful I couldn't find anything, because that led my Google search south to Dunes Harbor. It has been a rough year for my family. This summer passed us by without getting a camping trip in. We decided Thursday afternoon to go camping to enjoy the beautiful weekend. Dunes Harbor was above our expectations. It was not only fun, but good for our souls. My 8 yr old son LOVED the pool. My husband and I loved the lounge chairs with the option of the shaded cabana. We also LOVED the worship music playing for us. The atmosphere was just so so good. There wasn't the typical stuff you deal with at most pools. All the children were polite, no screaming, no shoving for the pool, no arguing over the balls. I love the fact that there was no alcohol on the premises and the rowdyness that goes with it. We run a faith based sober living home in Northern Michigan. So we greatly appreciated the overall atmosphere of Dunes Harbor Family Camp and it was a refreshing, reset that we needed. We will be back next year to experience again, but hopefully for a longer time. P.S. The bathrooms, showers and actually the entire campground was the cleanest I've ever seen in any public place. I also clean for a living and the bathrooms were always spotless. I wondered if I was the only person in the campground to even be using the restroom lol

Great place to stay! Very well managed and quiet.

Beautiful spacious sites in a quiet neighborhood setting. We went during off season, Sunday through Friday and it was great. Wi-Fi signal was extremely weak and there was limited cell phone service contributing to the "un-connectedness." But hey, that's kinda why we were there! Glad there weren't any emergencies. Locals say the cell towers are independently owned and they don't share signals. Bugs were terrible, unfortunately. Overall, a great campground with an extremely friendly staff (Leslie-check in) and others, great amenities! We would definitely go back for another stay.

We had a very relaxing, lovely time at Dunes Harbor Family Camp. It was our first time visiting and we were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the campground is. The community building is beautiful! Gary, my husband, forgot soap and was delighted to find some in the store. While he was there, he enjoyed some ice cream. Although we did not participate, it looked like the children there with their families were having a grand time at the swimming pool. There seemed to be a lot of activities available to choose from. Gary found a nature trail and took our dog on an exploration. We will definitely come back to Dunes Harbor again.

One of our favorite places to camp and the campground manager, Granville, is the coolest!
