If there were 7 stars for service, i would put 7 stars, Anima, Egy, Ewik, Antha, Edi and Mega were just some examples of balinese hospitality infused with warmth, gentleness, attentiveness and initiativeness. A compound with 2 extraordinarily designed villa yet preserving the balinese vibe and heritage. We were a family of 20 (adults, toddlers and infants) and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay, ranging from pre-trip arrangements like high chairs and cot procurement, to staying comfortably with much assistance from the villa crew, to post trip lingering feeling of nostalgia as we land in Singapore. Will totally recommend this place of warmth, heritage, serenity and joy.

What a magical place! I hosted 15 women here and it was incredible! Anima, Egy, Ewik and the team were exceptional. And the food was so good! I will be back. Every room is stunning, the location and the healing nature of the jungle. Would definitely recommend for any groups- when hosting groups it’s always one or two magical rooms and the rest are normal. Not the case with this space every room was just stunning and perfection! Tubs in every room! A serious oasis!

I booked Dwa Chandra Villa 1 & 2 both for my 40th birthday and invited 15 of my closest friends and family. These villas are a dream ! Anima and Egy and the entire crew of staff (Ewik, Edi, Suma, Rakka, Dodik) get ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for being such gracious host. Each and every room is gorgeously designed and has all the amenities you need. Each meal was better than the previous! Rooms and other common areas were cleaned on a daily basis. I highly recommend Dwa Chandra for you and your family!

this place can’t be summed up in words. it’s a serene paradise that honors the sacredness and traditions of bali. the staff is so attentive. so memorable. so kind. i just can’t say enough about the vibe that is created here. and how vast this property is. edi’s food nourished me like no other. and egy, mega, eva and ewig have such a special place in my heart. it’s just so many layers. thank you for this space. thank you thank you thank you.

I stayed with a group of friends spread throughout the two villas. I slept in the “fishbowl”, named for its all glass wraparound windows. It was intimate with undisturbed views of the jungle and easy access tot the sacred river below. Literally the most beautiful space I’ve ever stayed in. I was thoroughly impressed with curated experience from the DC staff. They have a great menu and remember your food and drink preferences without asking. They organized massages, drivers and special experiences at my request. The DC team became like family over the two weeks there. Love. DC is in the neighborhood, away from the chaotic hustle and bustle of Ubud proper. It’s quiet and meditative, yet only a few minute scoot to the center of Ubud. Dwa Chandra has left me with a lifetime of memories. I definitely plan to visit again.

Dwa Chandra, the closest thing to paradise I have ever experienced. I’m not only talking about the beautifully designed property, focused on nature, harmony, delicious food, impeccable service and modern conveniences. I’m talking about the tone and mission behind the place, hell bent on finding the balance between accountability and beauty. Every detail is exquisite, every act of service is attentive and eager to improve. I particularly love the fishbowl suite, for the view, the privacy, and the proximity to the yoga shala. The walk down to the river to the sight of morning offerings is a profound meditation. Staying at Dwa Chandra is an act of love for the conservation of land, Balinese culture, and the flourishing of local economics. I cannot wait to be back.

Dwa Chandra is a beautiful Villa. I stayed here with a group of friends in Villa 2, and the beautiful integration of glass and wood is absolutely stunning. Often times with a group of friends it seems someone gets the nice room and the others get rooms that are second rate, but that’s not the case here! Every single room is special and has features that make it shine. The staff lit fires for us every evening, which made our stay extra special. In addition to cooking us breakfast and lunch every day, they also attended to our every need at what seemed like any hour. Come for the accommodations, but stay because of the staff!

I stayed in the bungalow suite, and it was absolutely stunning. So deeply relaxing with the forest surrounding you. The staff is top-notch, and the food is beautifully prepared and delicious. Also, the staff took care of my every need from renting me a scooter to laundry and bodywork that was some of the best I have ever received. Dwa Chandra is an oasis of 5 star hospitality. I cannot recommend this place enough!

This was the best place that I have been at, and I visit very high end hotels and villas. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The pool, spa room and the Toga Shala were beautiful and the jungle and river around the Vila just made it a piece of heaven on earth. Everything was taken care of to the smallest detail. The staff took care of every need of request. We got the best spa treatments and delicious food (even vegan). Definitely will come back. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Dwa Chandra is truly a place like no other. The serenity of the location, the stunning and unique architecture of the villas. The place is surrounded by lush jungle. There is a private river 2min walking from the villa, with a deck to sit on and feel like you’re a world away from everything else. But most of all - the owner, Anima, and the whole DC staff are wonderful. They were communicative, kind, attentive - and took such good care of us and the villas throughout our stay. Breakfast was also superb. Definitely one of the best places I’ve stayed anywhere in the world.

One of the most beautiful places I have come across. Super luxurious and relaxing. So restful being there. The design and attention to detail is inspiring. The staff is super sweet and really well trained. The fppd was yummy. And the owner is an amazing lady.

I've traversed 50+ countries and a few has been countries. From palaces, to tents, 5 star resorts to entire private islands and I can say without a single reservation that Dwa Chandra is a magical place...for the least obvious reasons. I could mention the Instagram-worthy views, the ancient carvings on a rock face atop a magical gorge which looks like avatar + the children's cartoon fern gully came to life. I could mention the rooms which everyone evokes the feeling of "is this real" every morning you open your eyes there. And, while all of the aforementioned parts make Dwa special, it's not the most impressive, meaningful or impactful part. That honor goes to, in a word; people. The poet Maya Angelou once said that people will forget what you say and do but never how you make them feel. Each and every member of the team exudes this principle and leaves you truly feeling treated as a VIP in every sense of the word. Anima's passion for people and community building is one of a kind and in a truly special way that can only be ambiance, she has instilled that passion into each one of her team members and empowered them with joy, customer service, empathy and a thousand other qualities that make the service even exceed the beauty of this property. When booking a retreat, off-site or just a general escape, price is what you pay and value is what you get. Without a doubt the ambiance, attention to detail and location will always out pace the cost of this truly special piece of heaven on earth.

There are villas that casually self-proclaim their "luxury" and "excellence," and then there's Dwa Chandra. She stands alone in ways that bend the imagination and connect deeply with the Spirit of Bali. When I first entered the location, I was mesmerized. I was captivated and transformed. The staff and host welcomed me warmly into the glass walled indoor/outdoor "Bungalow", offering the most supportive and luxurious experience I have the privilege of experiencing throughout my lifetime of travels around the world. Dwa Chandra sets the bar so high above anything I could have ever imagined in pictures alone. You need to see her to understand her grace and beauty. The gorgeous villas rest in harmony with the landscape rich with ancient Balinese heritage. My experience of setting, service, and a sacred reverence for culture in her raw natural beauty is unmatched anywhere else in Bali, and arguably the world. I'm grateful for everything and everyone at Dwa Chandra and genuinely look forward to my return with anticipation.
