Einmalige Erfahrung

An experience to treasure forever
My wife and I have just stayed on the 3 day, 2 night Jungle Safari and can thoroughly recommend it. The organisation, care and dedication of the staff and guides is first class. The interaction with the elephants which is done on day one is an experience that will live with us forever. To be able to watch them bathe and then prepare their food before feeding them was a special experience. The luxury tents both at the camp and the lake are comfortable with all the amenities required apart from air-conditioning although a fan is provided. Although not an issue be prepared that travel from the main camp to the elephants and the lake are required. This is done in a bus but does not take too long . Just be prepared that all the activities are not on one site. Staying overnight on the lake was a fantastic experience that is difficult to explain. The peace and tranquility without wifi or a phone signal is nowadays a rarity. Waking early in the morning in the jungle and going for a swim in the lake with the sounds of gibbons calling is a fantastic experience. The food at both camps was superb and the staff went out of their way to make sure you were looked after. An unforgettable experience.

Highlight of our Honeymoon!
We visited Elephant Hills as part of our Honeymoon, and stayed at both the elephant camp and lake camp (one night at each). We loved every minute of our stay and it was our favourite part of our honeymoon. The lake camp in particular is stunningly beautiful, so peaceful, and a really special place to stay. The activities are brilliant, especially the elephant experience, which is respectful to the elephants whilst also giving a chance to interact with them. There is no pressure to take part in all the activities, things like the jungle trek and kayaking are entirely optional so you can choose how much time you want to take to just chill and enjoy the peace at the camp. A special thank you to our guide Deen, whose enthusiasm, brilliant attitude and clear care for guests made the experience even better.

Elephant hills is a fantastic experience - we did the jungle safari, 3 days and 2 nights with T & Lucky. The guides were phenomenal, so personable and great English. We were constantly updated and told what was happening next etc and the elephant feeding experience is excellent. The only down side is there is no Aircon, it is the Jungle after all. Having said that, this really just adds to the experience and we'd love to come back and do the stay in the lake camp!

Great respect for elephants, super friendly staff
Excellent. Clearly have deep respect for and take great care of the Elephants - truly in the animals' and environment's best interests. This was a big priority for us, wanting to meet these amazing animals in a genuinely respectful way and a safe environment - and it was exactly that (very safe, e.g. always a barrier and absolutely no riding elephants allowed). Great service, very kind and friendly staff. Our guides (T and Lucky) were fantastic, good English, very funny, personable, and very knowledgeable!

Wow! What an experience. Canoe down the river spotting monkeys, snakes, kingfishers and giant squirrel. On to see the elephants and prepare food and feed them. Time to relax and watch them in their pond. Fabulous food each day with loads of choice. The tents are wonderful....amazing experience (each has your own private bathroom).
On the next day, travelled an hour (lovely journey through the countryside) and then a longtail boat to the lake camp. Again, private tent and bathroom, fabulous food. The scenery is breathtaking and able to watch wild monkeys and sea eagles, along with hornbills. Option to take jungle trek (about an hour up and the same back down). We opted out of this just due to the humidity....typical British...sorry! We decided to swim in the lake directly from our private tent and also go kayaking. Staff were amazing and spoke good English.....special thanks to our guide for the duration, Kong. She was incredible and so knowledgeable...nothing was too much trouble and she is clearly passionate about her job.....I will trek next time Kong, I promise!

We just spent 2 nights at Elephant Hills and hat the best time ever 😍 Everything was perfect, from pick up in Surat Thani till drop off (included in the package)
Everything is super well organized! Our guide (Mona) is such a lovely, funny and caring person. She really made the whole stay just WOW 😍

There’s many activities from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave but it’s so well orchestrated that you don’t have the feeling it’s a lot. Meeting the elephants and feeding them is clearly the highlight but the kayak on the river was my favorite ❤️ You get to see monkeys, snakes (from far enough though)

The food is delicious with lots of options. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, you’ll get stuff prepared and served just for you 😍.

Elephant Hills is a total experience that you should definitely try (in couple or family)

Please note:
- Cash only on the spot
- Fan only in the tents
- Book in advance as such great places get fully booked 6 months in advance (depending on the season)

Thank you so much for your glowing review! We’re thrilled to hear that your 2-night stay at Elephant Hills was such a memorable experience. It’s wonderful to know that everything, from the seamless pickup to the well-organized activities, exceeded your expectations.

Mona sounds like she truly made your stay special with her care, humor, and knowledge—she’ll be delighted to hear your kind words! We’re glad you enjoyed the variety of activities, especially meeting the elephants and feeding them, as well as the peaceful kayak trip where you spotted wildlife along the way.

We’re also pleased that you found the food delicious and appreciated the options for vegan and vegetarian guests. Your tips about booking in advance and bringing cash are very helpful for future visitors. Thank you so much!

Thank you again for recommending Elephant Hills (via Connections 😉) as a must-visit destination. We hope to welcome you back someday for another unforgettable adventure in Khao Sok!

Fabulous few days in elephant hills
The best organised trip I have ever been on. The tents at the sanctuary were brilliant as were the floating huts. Total luxury for camping. Food excellent and staff especially our guide Yong were amazing. Swimming in the lake and kayaking whenever you wanted to go were great. Wish we could have had an extra night on the lake. Sadly the number of wild animals are low as the flooding of the lake was not planned as well as it could have been but they are now working on this

Lifetime experience
Overall a lifetime experience seeing elephants in an ethical setting. The accommodation is a tent with a fully enclosed concrete bathroom. The tent is basic but clean and has the amenities you need including toiletries. The elephant towels and small candle gift was a nice touch. Dean was our guide for the elephant interaction with Wave as an assistant guide. Dean was so energetic, friendly and knowledgeable. He made everyone laugh and feel welcome and was great overall! The elephant interaction is set up to feed the elephants after having some time to touch them behind the barriers and I appreciate they have a lot of land to wander and just be elephants, I wanted to make sure it was an ethical experience which it was. The canoe trip was so great and we got to see the natural beauty of the river and mountains while being able to observe the wildlife is great (snakes, monkeys, monitor lizards). I was unable to take part in the jungle trek the following day. The food is plentiful as you get lunch, dinner, breakfast and then lunch before you leave (based on a one night stay). The food cold be hotter as it is served buffet style but overall it was tasty. The bar service was also good, thank you to Oil who made is some great happy hour cocktails and was very friendly. If you factor in the cost of the transfers to and from the park, accommodation and food as well as all of the activities that are provided then the value is worth it even though I have seen some comments that it is not “a luxury experience”, you are in the jungle after all!

Deen is the best!
Best time of my life. Our guide Deen was the most heartwarming, supportive and postive human being ever. Also the activities is something you only try once in your whole life. The elephants seemed like they lived in perfect conditions without overworking and didnt seem stressed. Absoloutly amazing!!

Incredible experience, wonderful staff, unique accommodation
This place is absolutely fantastic and the highlight of a two week holiday of Thailand for my husband and I. The accommodation is top notch - luxury tents with en suite facilities. There is privacy but you have to be aware that you are under canvas, so you will hear your neighbours as you are in such a quiet and peaceful location. All the staff here were so helpful, brilliant and did so much to make our stay excellent. The food was plentiful and tasty, and drinks were available (at an additional cost). We spent one night here and then went to the Lake Camp for one night - same set up, but in Khao Sok national park on the lake. The experiences they arranged for us were great and included kayaking, but the highlight by far is meeting the elephants. These beautiful creatures are wonderful, and the staff care hugely for them. We were able to interact with them (respectfully) and could learn about their diet and were able to feed them - we loved this. I would recommend this to everyone planning a trip to Thailand.

Maybe one night too many
We have just left elephant hills and it was amazing, the experience with the elephants and canoeing was brilliant, what I would say is that the time with the elephants is short in a 4 day stay only one hour, lots of kayaking, lots of boating but thats quite repetitive, there is also not a lot to do in the evenings, overall the staff were amazing, the experiences were great but my view is the 3 day 2 night tour is enough when there is so much of Thailand to see.
