Our guides Bean and Brad and driver Mike made up a dream team for our family of five’s kayak adventure. They were engaging, lively, and helpful with three kids. We’re on this river every summer with various larger outfits in Aspen, but this team ensured we’ll be back. Thank you.

My daughter and I had the most amazing time in our white water rafting adventure, and all thanks to Elk Mountain Expeditions. Curtis was our guide (by the way, he is also currently in the USA Rafting Team!), and he was beyond incredible, guiding us as to how to navigate the river, what to do and when so that we could accomplish what was needed. We felt so taken care of, while still having a ton of fun doing this super adventurous class IV water rafting.
I cannot recommend them enough. They gave us FREE photos of this adventure (seriously, unheard of), and I was able to end this great afternoon with a beer :)
Don't think twice...go with Elk Mountain Expeditions!

Great experience! Super fun, very professional guides. Photo downloads included in pricing, which is a very nice touch. The (complimentary, delicious, local, craft) beer at the end of the trip could have been colder, but that’s a minor detail. Will definitely book with Elk Mountain again next year!

Great 3 days with Connner, Jim, Brady and Taylor. Beautiful trip through Black Canyon. Put us on the fish, great food, camps, and service. Incredible trip which I would recommend to anyone…but go with the best, Elk Mountain/River Rats.

Everything about the rafting experience was outstanding. They picked us up and dropped us off right at our hotel. Our guide Curtis was amazing! Very skilled and personable. The best guide we have ever had. The Slaughterhouse run was challenging but so much fun! We have rafted 6-7 times elsewhere and this was by far the best experience.

Wow! The staff and guide is as good as it gets! It was fun and I felt safe, which was great since it was my first white water rafting experience! Highly recommend and would go back to this company again.

Shout out to Dom who helped our family have a fun afternoon Paddle boarding! The water was high and running fast. I got dumped into the cold water at the put-in. Dom jumped in and grabbed me right away. Anybody who is older or younger should def wear a life jacket for those unexpected spills. Thanks Dom!

Easy to book! Easy to find. Free parking - short trip to the put-in. Equipment was great and the nature preserve did not disappoint! We had kayaks and SUPs with some of our group zero experience. We didn’t use a guide but the service was fantastic and would recommend this outfitter to anyone at any level of expertise.

This rafting expedition is amazing! It has incredible views and excellent staff. Five stars for sure! Our guide Andy was excellent, fun, a great teacher, and engaging. Nine miles of class III rapids and lots of laughs in between. I would highly recommend this adventure.

Elk Mountain Expeditions does a great job with their fly-fishing trips. The one I just went on was individualized for the current river and weather conditions. The guide knew the river like the back of his hand, we had a great time, and I caught a lot of trout! I highly recommend them.

What an epic, amazing day!
My family had such an incredible time today that I am immediately writing a review. The conditions were perfect and our guide, Tats, made the whole experience amazing. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and super with our girls (8 and 10 years old). We could not have asked for a better time! This is our second adventure with Elk Mountain and we will be back again!

They do well at accommodating for any needs you have and they provide good gear to keep you safe and warm in the freezing water! I would highly recommend using them for your next rafting adventure, I know I will!
