I would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in Bath history in particular and a general discussion about the cultural norms around death in America. Meg did a great job intermixing the solemnity of the location with heartwarming stories about some of the occupants, both famous and infamous. Very enjoyable/educational!

Great tour! Such a fun thing to do...the cemetery is beautiful and the stories of people buried there and the history of the place brought it to life (lol). Despite the rawness of the day we thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Oak Grove. Meg thought of everything from hot hands to flashlights for getting a glimpse of the mausoleum interiors. The tour had a lovely balance of history, lore, and even humor and maintained a sense of respect while also allowing for the freedom to enjoy the setting.

I signed up for Meg’s first Oak Grove Cemetery tour, having heard wonderful reviews of her other tours. I was not disappointed! Her enthusiasm for history, her attention to detail, and her warm & natural gift for teaching, all combined for a terrific and interesting walk. I hope to sign up for her other tours!

Interesting historical city brought to life by Meg
Meg does a really nice job sharing the history and interesting locations of Bath Maine. She takes the time to learn about her audience and relates history to our interests, including the use of pictures. She is prompt, enthusiastic, friendly, thoughtful, and loves history, learning and sharing. I attended this tour after a full day at the maritime museum and was very glad I did.

My friend and I had a wonderful time on the historical tour! I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. You can tell that Meg has put a lot of effort into her tour and is a knowledgable and passionate guide. Her father should be proud! 😉 I hope to take another tour with Meg in the future!

Fantastic tour!
The Bath Walking Tour with Meg was fantastic. We learned about the history and present day Bath and the surrounding area through Meg's interesting and entertaining stories. She brought the city to life for us. Highly recommend this tour.

Meg is a wonderful tour guide, and I would recommend her tours to anyone visiting near Bath, ME! She is passionate about the history of Bath, and it is clear she has put forth lots of research and dedication to these tours. My friend and I both had a wonderful tour of Bath and loved learning its unique history as Meg led us around the waterfront downtown and showed us the local landmarks. We hope to return for another tour in the future!

Meg was wonderful! Knowledgeable, interesting, and adaptable to the specific group. It's evident that she's an amazing educator and shares photos/articles and direct sources to really tell the story. I joined the historic neighborhood walking tour and hope to join future tours when I visit again.

Great tour!
Meg is great. Lots of historic info on bath homes there architecture and the ship Building family's that lived there. We got more from the tour than expected.
