Marvelous Experience at Enkewa Camp Enkewa Camp is truly over-the-top wonderful. It was recommended by friends who live in Nairobi. It lived up to their praise. All phases of our experience there were exceptional. The family and friends with whom we were traveling would concur - what a great experience. The "tents" were totally lovely and the service was clearly based on a how-can-we-make-this-a-great-trip philosophy. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Camp setting was unique in being in a rather secluded section of Maasai Mara. We often saw animals alone - no other vehicles in sight! The food was plentiful, varied, and tasty. (The breakfast sites out in the field were so well chosen - beautiful.) The game-viewing vehicles were in tip-top shape and the seats were tiered so everyone had clear viewing opportunities. Our guides and spotters were superb - so knowledgeable! The animals that we saw were amazing including prides of lions and way cool groups of elephant, rhinos, giraffe, Cape buffalo and wildebeest, to say nothing of all the birdlife. We also saw a beautiful leopard move from high up in a tree to the ground. Every time out there was another wildlife highlight, and the general landscapes were a highlight in their own right. I know I am gushing and using all kinds of superlatives, but, gees, Enkewa Camp was marvelous.

Qué grande poder estar en Enkewa! Después de 6 años de mi primera visita, la repetí con mi familia con la incertidumbre de cómo la viviría de nuevo sin tener la sensación de la novedad. Mis dudas se disiparon rápidamente, Jose y todo su staff intentaron y consiguieron que la experiencia fuera inolvidable, Los safaris fueron todo un éxito y conseguimos ver incluso de forma repetida, los cinco grandes y con una cercanía que impresiona. Los desayunos en plena sabana son algo difícil de mejorar y la paz y comodidad que se vive al regresar al camp cuesta olvidar. Iba acompañado de mis hijas que vivieron la experiencia por primera vez y ver sus caras de alegria y asombro ante todo lo que veían es una emoción impagable... Muchas gracias a todo el equipo!

A Magical Experience Enkewa provided an experience like no other. We had an amazing mix of exhilarating safaris, thanks to our amazing guides. Coupled with a luxurious time at camp including delicious meals. José and his team have created a very special place. A truly magical and spiritual time on the Maasai Mara. Inolvidable Visitar el Masa Mara desde Enkewa camp es una experiencia inolvidable. Todo el personal y las instalaciones están pensadas para que se pueda disfrutar al máximo. Incredible deluxe camp. This camp is amazing! The attention to detail in regards to amenities, comfort, experience is wonderful. We were well fed with fantastic meals, super staff and knowledge of the guide and driver were exceptional. A gorgeous location and super comfortable accommodations. What a gem!

Safari camp Masai Mara Siamo appena rientrati da uno splendido safari all'Enkewa Camp, con i nostri figli di 11 e 12 anni. Un’esperienza indimenticabile per l’organizzazione impeccabile del camp, la professionalità’ delle guide, la gentilezza dello staff e l’ estremo comfort e pulizia degli spazi. Abbiamo visto tutti i big five da vicino, con spiegazioni dettagliate e grande entusiasmo delle nostre due guide. Torneremo prestissimo, è stata un avventura meravigliosa. Consigliatissimo!

Experiencia inolvidable en un lugar especial No sé por dónde empezar. Era nuestra primera experiencia de safari y no pudo haber ido mejor. Expectativas superadas de lejos. Sabíamos por los foros, videos y opiniones leídas con antelación que Enkewa parecía un lugar especial, pero vivirlo en persona ha sido maravilloso. El idílico enclave del campamento (totalmente ecosostenible e integrado al máximo en la naturaleza), la cómoda y preciosa tienda donde nos alojamos, la comida deliciosa (la adaptan si tienes alguna intolerancia), la organización, los detalles,...son de 10. Pero es el equipo humano y profesional que forma Enkewa, capitaneado por Jose, y seguido de Mariona, Oscar, la maravillosa Janet, los cocineros, los vigilantes, drivers, spotters y cada una de las personas que trabajan allí, los que hacen que se cree un ambiente único, muy especial. En Enkewa lo fácil es desconectar, ir al ritmo que marca la naturaleza y disfrutar de cada momento del día. En cuanto al safari propiamente dicho, ha sido insuperable. Ben y Nelson, los dos spotters masais que nos acompañaban en el jeep, fueron fantásticos desde el minuto uno hasta que nos despedimos de ellos, con un conocimiento impresionante del terreno y de la fauna. Momentos de estar solos en la sabana, contemplando la vida que en ella transcurre, a veces aparentemente tranquila, otras tan llena de actividad palpable, sintiendo los olores y la luz de los diferentes momentos del día...Difícil encontrar las palabras pero tan fácil disfrutarlo y fluir con ello. Ojalá podamos repetir pronto!

The true safari experience. Fantastic choice. Among the best options in Mara if you want the true safari experience. The camp is situated in the Keekorok area and they run their safaris in their own manner, and the right one too ! They avoid crowds, rely on their own excellent spotters and provide you with many sightings of your own, which in the Mara is a rare exception. José has defined a certain character to the camp in its eco-friendly but yet low-key luxury style. The tents are spacious and lovely decorated and the food is great. Security guards patrol the camp at night, so you feel safe at all times. Almost all staff is Masai so the link with the local community feels very strong. Every car has a driver and a spotter and this makes all the difference. They work as a team to grant you the best sightings. If you are really into the safari experience, can have a long drive in the morning (5-6 hours with great bush breakfast included) and another one in the evening. Special thanks to Sai, our fantastic driver, to Sempere, our spotter, to Nicolas at the restaurant and to Mariona and José.

La perfección existe Nuestra estancia en el Camp Enkewa fue simplemente espectacular. No hay palabras suficientes para expresar lo increíble que fue esta experiencia. El campamento logra combinar a la perfección lujo y autenticidad, ofreciéndonos una conexión íntima con la naturaleza sin renunciar a la comodidad. Desde el primer momento, cada miembro del equipo en Enkewa nos hizo sentir bienvenidos y cuidados, con un servicio que superó todas nuestras expectativas. Mención especial para Ben y Nelson, nuestro conductor y guía, que fueron excepcionales y nos brindaron una experiencia única. Un agradecimiento y abrazo fuerte a Mariona, quien estuvo atenta a cada detalle, asegurándose de que todo fuera perfecto. Los amaneceres y atardeceres en Enkewa, el esmero al preparar la mesa bajo los árboles, la exquisitez de la comida, el entorno y su gente… simplemente, sin palabras. No hay mejor lugar que este para vivir la magia del Masai Mara.

Unforgettable Awesome in all aspects! What makes this stay exceptional is their Maasai staff, many long-standing. Who best can know and care for the reserve than somebody born and raised in it? A special mention for our tracker (Nelson) and ranger (Ben, also a tracker), who were amazing at spotting animals and cutting through the savannah to get to them all while engaging the teens in the look-out. They also paid so much more respect to the animals than the non-Maasai drivers. We are furthermore thankful for the dedicated attention of José at planning stage, as well as camp staff including our assignated waiter and security guard. Food was great, rooms comfortable, attention paid to detail ... We made two different safaris, so we can compare!
