Jayne is a lovely and friendly trainer . Jayne taught me so much about technique, anatomy, and the therapeutic benefits of Japanese head spa massage. Jayne ability to break down complex concepts into easy-to-understand terms is invaluable. I highly recommend her classes to anyone interested in learning Japanese head spa massage.

I attended a spray tanning course today (14/7/24) it was the most enjoyable, factual, hands on course I have ever done. Jayne is a fantastic trainer she is super friendly, makes you feel totally comfortable and it feels as though you’ve known her for ages. All models on the day were supplied for me, and the classes are kept small to ensure maximum practice time. I left the course feeling very confident and excited to start my journey in spray tanning knowing that if I have any questions along the way Jayne is just an email away. I have done courses in lashes and nails with other training academies and being totally honest I wish I had done all training with Jayne, the experience was just very different and far more enjoyable.

Having spent 6 days training with Jayne I can honestly say that if you are looking to do your training here then look no further. Jayne has a wealth of knowledge at her fingertips and the calm and relaxed environment is the perfect place to take it all in. I was nervous when I arrived but within minutes my nerves were put at ease and I thoroughly enjoyed each day. Thankyou Jayne for creating a wonderful environment to learn something new and amazing. I've been wanting to do a waxing course for a very long time but my Anxiety kept winning. I finally got intouch with Jayne and from the beginning she made me feel very welcome and relaxes. The training I received was exceptional. I've booked in already for more training on another course. I highly recommend Essex Hair and Beauty. Definitely 5 stars from me x

AN HONEST REVIEW - Nail Technician Diploma November 2023 It took me around 2 months to choose my course, my search on the web for nail tech courses was daunting to say the least. First, they are very expensive and second there are hundreds of them, from online learning to in person. I decided that I would prefer face to face learning but this didnt narrow it down much. Eventually i came across the Essex Hair & Beauty Academy website and decided to ring for more details. I spoke to Jayne who owns the academy and runs the courses, she was very knowledgeable and didnt give me the hard sell to hand over my money but allowed me take another 2 weeks of asking more questions (poor woman!) before i did eventually book in. One of the main reasons i chose this course is that you dont work on yourself or fellow students and that the classes are very small. Jayne provides models for the duration so you get a feel of a real client and you dont waste learning time sitting around being worked on. The classes are a maximum of 4 students so you get really good one to one training. My course was set over 10 days where i learnt literally everything nail!! If you need to go over anything again you can, and questions are encouraged. Initially i didnt think that 10 days would be enough time to learn all of the 9 modules so only booked in for 7. I ended up booking the remaining 2 and that was down to Jaynes teaching. Jayne demonstrates the process then you work on a model. The models were friendly and happy to be there, so you dont feel intimidated or under pressure. There were at least 2 models per student per module so you didnt just do one and move on before you felt like you had learnt it, you had another to do that afternoon or the next morning. You are given a booklet with all the services and methods and Jayne goes through each section you are learning every morning before you start. You take this home to keep. This was a massive learning experience for me, i am 53 years old and was quite nervous about sitting in a class situation with a bunch of young women that knew more than me and feeling the oldest in the room! I shouldnt have worried though, i was made to feel very welcome and included by the other ladies (who were young!!) and soon realised we were all beginners. The classroom is located at Jaynes home in a converted double garage, the decor and lighting could do with a brighten up but that doesnt detract from the quality of the teaching and the friendly enviroment. The course doesnt come with a kit but you dont need to bring anything with you, its all supplied. You also have access to loads of different brands to try. I felt this was invaluble as buying equipment is really expensive if you are setting up for yourself rather than in a salon. You get to try whichever brands you like so you can make an informed choice when you do buy rather than make expensive mistakes. Ongoing support is offered as well, which i have used recently for some advise. I have set up my own home salon and feel confident to offer the services i learnt after completing this course. I would definitely recommend Jayne and this course to anyone who is thinking about a career in nails whatever age or experience. Just book in, you wont regret it. Dawn - The Nail Room, Cranham

I have completed two courses with Jayne and now will not go anywhere else for training!! She is so knowledgeable, friendly and patient. The training room itself has everything you could need, small and cozy and clean. I qualified in aromatherapy and facials and believe Jayne is why I have gone on to be successful with my business, not only did she train me in aroma she had lots of business tips and knowledge of the industry. She is a teacher who still cares about the quality of students she produces. X

Would highly recommend Jayne! It’s such a lovely environment to learn and Jayne is such a wonderful teacher, explaining everything properly and takes plenty of time to ensure you learn properly and confidently. The pace of the training is great and never rushed, Jayne takes time to share her wealth of knowledge and love for the treatments. It’s a perfect mix of theory and practical, with lots of practical involved meaning I left feeling fully confident carrying out treatments on my own! I have done two courses here and loved both of them, I’ll definitely be back for more!

Great one to one day training. All questioned answered and great advice for my future business. Jayne is still on hand if I need her for any queries and a reminder of what I have forgotten. I had an amazing 2 days of training with Christie learning hair extensions and she was so patient with me and explained everything clearly making sure I retained all of the information. I passed my micro rings course in 2 days and aim to complete another 2 courses in the near future to become a hair extensions specialist. Looking forward to returning. Thank you for having me :)

I cannot recommend training with Jayne enough. I have just completed my aromatherapy massage and essential oil blending course and loved every minute. Jayne is great! Really great massage courses, three different models for each student, hand book to take home. I done two different massage course, really enjoyed both, was a very relaxing environment but professional at the same time which is a good combination, highly recommend, I will be back for more courses.

Over the last 5 months I have had the most amazing time learning new treatments . The atmosphere is extremely welcoming, and relaxed unlike any other training places I have trained in. Jayne is an expert in every field, and has an abundance of knowledge in everything she teaches. She teaches with extreme passion and commitment to the student, making sure that you understand everything down to the very basics. Absolutely fantastic, will be back in the new year.
