La magia della Valle Sacra, Perù
A causa della forte pioggia il nostro trekking dell’Inca Trail era chiuso: Miguel e tutto lo staff di Evolution hanno lavorato benissimo per trovare la migliore soluzione per le nostre esigenze, seduta stante. I quattro giorni insieme alla guida Caesar sono stati incantevoli, tra vallate spettacolari, racconti ricchi di storia e dettagli di botanica, antropologia e cultura andina in generale e tanto supporto tecnico quando l’altitudine e la durezza del percorso lo richiedevano. Last but not least, che lusso trovare la tenda montata e tutti i pasti pronti, di altissima qualità, anche a 4500 metri. Un’esperienza indimenticabile e consigliatissima.

Una experiencia de vida inolvidable
Hicimos el camino del inca corto con César y fue una experiencia de vida excepcional que superó por mucho todas nuestras expectativas. El conocimiento de César sobre la cultura inca, la historia del Perú, y la flora y la fauna del santuario de Machu Picchu enriquecieron toda la experiencia. La felicidad de haber llegado a Machu Picchu como peregrinos por la puerta del sol se quedará con nosotros para siempre. Amazing Experience with Phenomenal Guide
Our group of 6 did the Short Inca Trail hike and when I tell you it was the adventure of a lifetime I’m not exaggerating. We completed most of our planning with Miguel who was incredibly kind and easy to work with. Even when we had last minute changes he was accommodating and made sure to do everything in his power to make our trip amazing. Once we started the hike we were left in the incredibly capable hands of Caesar. The hike was tough, I’m not going to lie, but Caesar did a great job of pushing us, while not letting anyone fall behind. We took numerous little breaks where we were told about Inca ruins, native plants and fun facts about Peru. It is clear that he is knowledgeable and passionate about the Trail and the Inca culture itself. Half of our group decided to camp while the other half chose to return to town and sleep in a hotel. They definitely missed out on the camping part of the trip! We were treated to a lovely dinner and breakfast prepared by 2 chefs and one of them was a woman! This was really important to our group. Evolution Treks is making significant strides in promoting women and their role on the Inca Trail. We also had a female driver back to Cusco and she was amazing! In addition to providing an opportunity to women, many I’m told who are single mothers, they are also known for taking extremely good care of their porters. I’m sure we would have seen this more on a longer trek, but I can verify that everyone was well looked after while camping and had proper equipment for the weather. I would absolutely recommend Evolution Treks for anyone looking to experience such an incredible place. Additional thanks to Caesar for taking such great group photos! Far too often have I had a guide take really crappy photos of a spectacular place, but this time they were great. Extra effort for things like that really make my heart happy!

Simply the best
Evolution Treks put together a truly brilliant tour. Our guide was Rudi, who is simply one-of-a-kind: an inexhaustible well of historical and natural knowledge, a deeply spiritual and proud human being, and a supportive and experienced hiking partner. Really can’t say enough good things about this company, it felt like every part of the journey was just right. I was a little worried about weather as we went in late December but the conditions were perfect, occasional rain but never unpleasant and temperatures were mild throughout. An absolute bargain.

Great Inca Trek with Evolution!
Evolution Treks is an outstanding operator and we had an incredible time with them on the 4 day/3 night Inca Trail trek in January of 2025. Their guides are excellent (speak great English, very knowledgeable and engaging), and their porters, cooks and support staff are all super hard working, fun, and enjoyable to be around. Special shout out on our trek to Nico, Benedicto, Rollo, Pilar, and of course our guide, Wilbert. Even though it is somewhat arduous hiking out doors, the staff make it a great experience by handling all of the logistics, setting up tents, serving great food, and making sure that the client can enjoy the trek without worrying about any of the fine details. It is obvious that Evolution goes out of their way to treat their staff as decently as possible and it clearly shows. It is comforting to know that you are using an operator with the highest possible environmental and ethical standards.

Short Inca trail January 2025
Initial communication was through email although it seems they are much more responsive via their whatsapp.We did the short Inca trail guided by Beli and it was an incredible tour. Beli took time to make sure we were briefed prior the tour, ensure that we were comfortable during the tour and made sure we returned to the hotel at the end. He took time to explain the different plants and ruins that we came across during the hike so that by the time we reached Machu Piccu we felt a greater connection to the sacred site. The company are also supportive of fair working conditions for women and their employees which was a big part of why we went with them. Would highly recommend Evolution Tours and Beli's guidance! The best Inca Trek to Machu Picchu!
Rudi and Evolution Treks gave us the most incredible experience of the Inca Trek and Machu Picchu we could have possibly imagined. Rudi’s knowledge and enthusiasm was inspiring and the Evolution Trek team and porters went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying the experience. We would recommend Evolution Treks to anyone wishing to experience the true Machu Picchu. Thank you!

A must-do experience in Peru
There were a couple of administration hiccups, but they were only minor and were fixed. Everything else - wow. I signed up myself on advice from a friend to go with Evolution Treks for the four-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, was in a group of 5 and we had such a good time. From the food (excellent range and delicious), the equipment (good tent, sleeping gear), the porters (kind and happy), the organisation of everything (planned well, the days activities communicated in advance) and lastly - our guide Rudi.Rudi was the reason I had such a good time. He was passionate about the trail, the history, the specialness of the journey. He welcomed questions, had a lot of knowledge, and was such a positive person. He really went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend Evolution Treks to anyone considering the Inca Trail.

Increíble Camino Inca de 5 días/4 noches con Edson
Después de contactar a varios tour operadores de trail trek incaicos y empezar a sentirme un poco desanimado encontré Evolution Treks Perú. Sabía que en ese momento había tomado la decisión correcta. Estaba buscando la mejor experiencia en solitario y la encontré. Pagué un poco más para tener esto y no ser parte de un grupo más grande. Hice la caminata de 4 noches y 5 días. Mi guía Edson me dio el tratamiento completo junto con Gulliermo el chef increíble. La comida era absolutamente increíble! La tripulación también incluía Roy, Cenovia & Dora. Todos ellos trabajaron en equipo y se aseguraron de que fueras su máxima prioridad nada pasó desapercibido. Edson mi guía fue increíble y hasta el día de hoy todavía nos mantenemos en contacto y esperamos verlo de nuevo en el futuro para otra excursión. ¡Evolution Trek Perú no decepcionará!

Had such a great time with our guide Edson and his team for the 4 days Inca trail. Good vibes and good food all along. Whole team quick to adjust to our needs. Highly recommended!

Camino inca de 4 días
Sorprendentemente solo teníamos 2 excursionistas en nuestro grupo. Nos acompañó un gran equipo de 1 guía y 7 (! ) porteadores, que todos trabajaron muy duro e hicieron que las cosas se desarrollaran sin problemas en el fondo. Nuestro guía (Edson) era genial. Nunca me sentí inseguro durante nuestro viaje, incluso cuando el clima se volvió amargo o cuando estábamos caminando en la oscuridad. Claramente era muy apasionado de la cultura inca y la historia, nos llevó por algunos sitios arqueológicos extra, y también nos mostró algunas plantas geniales. Tenía un gran y loco sentido del humor y extrañaré jugar con él. La comida cocinada por Guillermo era fantástica y estoy sorprendido de la diversidad de lo que se puede crear en una sartén - lo más destacado para mí incluye sopas realmente deliciosas todos los días, ceviche y yuca. Los porteadores eran grandes y eficientes - nuestro comedor o tiendas de dormir siempre estaban instalados y listos cuando llegamos a la comida o campamento. Excelente compañía

Well-read Guide and Warm Companion
Cesar was the best guide we have had on our entire trip. He is a historian and explained Inkan history and building techniques. He answered all of our numerous questions on life in Peru and the political history of the country. He helped us see MP through the eyes of a well read Peruvian. He was also a friendly and warm person, who looked after each of us on the day long hike. He was a wonderful companion to our trip. We choose Evolution Trek’s because unlike the other companies, they take care of their porters and guides, paying them fairly and not just treating them like mules. Evolution Treks were also the first to hire women porters for the Macchu Picchu trek and now other companies are following suit.

Terrific Family 2 Day Inca Trail and Macchu Picchu
We had a terrific experience doing the short Inca Trail hike one day and then visit Macchu Picchu. Our guide Cesar was very knowledgeable about the history of Andean peoples, the culture, religions, plant and animal life, food, and the Inca ruins. He provided very detailed explanations of the ruims we saw during the hike and Macchu Picchu and answered all of our questions about the life of people in the time in the Incans and current life in Peru. This was an excellent trip for our family and one we would highly recomend to others.

El mejor tour por el sendero inca
Evolution Treks hizo de mi viaje de prueba Inca una experiencia que nunca olvidaré. Nicolas, nuestro chef, y su equipo de porteadores eran excepcionales. Mucho wow wow! The best ethical Inca Trail company.
We had an incredible time traveling with Evolution Treks for the Inca trail trek! Marco our guide was enthusiastic about Incan and Peruvian history and committed to the Andean culture. He is from the Andean community and passionate about improving the lives of the community there. He was flexible and understanding of the different fitness levels in our group, and was patient with me one morning when I woke up with a migraine which impacted my fitness.The service we got was incredible. Nicolas the chef created mind-blowing dishes — I’m not sure how he managed to cook such incredible dishes at our campsite (for example, trout in a zucchini bed, lomo Saltado, the fluffiest pancakes, portable smores for happy hour…).We also appreciated the mission of Evolution Treks. There was a very obvious difference between Evolution Treks and every other tour group — the others may claim to be committed to the porters’ well-being on their websites, but since we are all traveling on the same trail, we were able to compare the equipment. Evolution Treks was the only one that used real backpacking backpacks for the porters and used equivalent quality tents for the porters as for us. The porters work so hard, so I was glad to see them treated well. The company also helps to pay for their education to become a guide if they are interested, and we learned that two of the guides are doing this program. I was especially appreciative of Fernando, Walter, and a third porter (we didn’t walk directly with him, but I believe his name began with an E!) who brought us to the archeological site at Wiñaywayna.Overall, in my opinion, this is really the only group you should consider for the trek if you are concerns about the ethics of the trek — with zero compromises on quality.

Evolution Treks is a Must
Phenomenal experience with Evolution Treks. The guide, porters, and cooks made the experience 5 stars. Our guide Marko was knowledgeable, funny, and very accommodating for all hikers on the Trek. The porters were top notch, and offered exceptional service. One great thing about Evolution Treks, they take care of their porters by providing top notch backpacks and sleeping tents. (Many of the other companies overpack their porters’ backpacks, and have them sleep in rough conditions). Nicholas, our lead cook, provided fine dining food all three meals of the day. It was a great way to try variety of Peruvian classics.Overall, Evolution Treks provides a great value for their customers, while also taking care of their people.

I went to Machu with my friend from high school and had the pleasure of having Nicholas (chef) and Marco (tour guide) lead my tour. They were absolutely great. Marco is the most knowledgeable man on Incan history that I have met, and Nicholas gave us much needed energy after long hiking days. Would highly recommend.
