I had a just about perfect experience with Explora. Everything was managed with professionalism, and care, and with attention to our needs and plans. The team, including Maxi, are just fantastic and they provide a real turn key experience. Just show up and go and everything you need is at your finger tips. The cars were well maintained and in great shape and the camping gear was just perfect. When I was there, we had a code red gale for the region. 50 knot winds (one 100 kph gust was recorded at our campsite), and the tent stayed standing and in great shape. I would highly recommend Explora for your Tasmania camping trip. You won't regret it.

Easy booking process and competitive pricing. We decided to use Explora because of the free add on for camping equipment which made the trip a lot easier. Car was well maintained and reliable - no issues. Pick up and drop off was smooth. Left our jumper in the car which was posted back to us! - thank you :)

Tent hire is such a good idea - saved us so much money on accommodations in places like Cradle Mountain/Lake St. Clair. The tent was great - easy to put up and spacious enough for two. The sleeping bags were also very warm - even at 3°C I wasn't too cold to sleep. If I do another road trip in Tassie (which I hope I will, it's the most beautiful place on earth), I'll definitely use this company again. 😁

Two friends and I rented a car while on holiday in Tasmania. The owners were super accommodating, friendly, and answered all of our questions. We had a great experience with the car and were able to use some of the camping gear (even though we were not camping), which was extremely helpful for our adventures and long drives! Highly recommend hiring a car through Explora!

I highly recommend this service. The car was in perfect condition, and the camping gear was complete, providing everything you need to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets with a hot coffee. We rented a car for 7 days. Joice is so approachable and accommodating. We landed slightly earlier than expected and were able to collect the car earlier than planned, and also dropped it back off later than planned as our flight back got delayed. The car and camping gear were all in tip top condition. We had a fantastic week exploring Tasmania. Would definitely come back to Joice and Explora if we returned!!

We rented from Explora for 5 days, drove around the island feeling completely safe and secure in the rental (Toyota Yaris ‘09) and camped everywhere because they also provide gear with the rental. What an incredible deal! Highly recommend renting and supporting from mum & pops shops. Would do again if I come back!

Very nice people, we rented a two man tent from them for a good price and had no problems getting and returning it. They are just starting their business so their office is still quite improvised, but that doesn't impair the efficiency of the process.

I travelled to Tasmania with little time to plan, and renting cars is always a bit complicated if you don’t plan ahead, but Joice made everything so easy.
