Brilliant for family/group surf lessons and surf hire I booked 2 of my children onto a group surf lesson, they absolutely loved it, the instructor was very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable but more importantly had a great deal patience, both of my children were able to stand on the board by the end of their session, I hired a board and wetsuit for myself on 2 different days, the equipment is very good quality and again all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable with some great tips and advice, I would highly recommend these guys, and I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Great experience The instructor was so friendly and excellent at teaching! My son loved it and managed to stand on the board by the end of the lesson!

Great surf lesson Amazing surf lesson with Alex! She explained things clearly, was enthusiastic and made me laugh. I found her teaching style easy to follow so I managed to stand up on my board a few times. Thanks Alex!

Large Group Rental We ran a yearly trip for 60 people down to Newquay last weekend, and Fistral Beach Surf School were fantastic with sorting our 40 wetsuit and surfboard rentals. The staff are lovely, and made sure everything ran smoothly for the get go. I can't recommend better service for price if you are considering a large group rental in Newquay. Thanks guys. - UMSC

10/10 surfing school I had three private lessons with the Fistral Beach Surf School in June 2024 and loved it so much that my colleagues purchased a voucher for more lessons. The team at Fistral beach are an incredible bunch of genuine people who all have a passion for surfing. Tom, Layla and Alex were my coaches and they all taught me the basics, provided technical board knowledge and spent time fine tuning things while providing techniques in a really supportive and encouraging way 🏄‍♀️

Very happy dad of two teenage boys Absolutely amazing surf school, with amazing people. Not only are Sam, Perry and Nick talented and professionals, but that are extremely friendly and always happy to help, they all looked after my two teenage boys and certainly great role models. Fun improver lesson! My friend and I paid for a group improver lesson but it ended up just being the two of us so it was like having a private lesson. We had surfed with our friends before but were less confident with standing and catching waves. Layla was a fantastic instructor! We did lots of fun drills on the shore and she was the best hype girl when we caught any wave (however clumsily). I have been fully convinced to buy a surfing hat now as it definitely makes you a better surfer. Afterwards, we feel a lot more confident when popping up and she gave us lots of good tips for when we use our hard boards.

Private Surf lesson for an old boy with failing body parts to help me get my Pop back!! ;) Absolutely perfect, exactly what I was after, Tom and Sam listened to what I needed out of my private surf lesson and booked me in with Nick, who took the session to another level, listening, helping, tweaking and encouraging, we even invented a new surf pop-up between us to help me navigate getting back up on the board despite my dicky back, right hip replacement with the left one on its way out! lol. I will be booking up some more sessions with the guys as the professional but relaxed tuition was invaluable to me, thanks guys, awesome work! :)

Fantastic Instructor We had a fantastic time on our improvers course, definitely leveled up our surfing. Our instructor Layla was fabulous super friendly and really knowledgeable. She even went out of her way to take some videos of us on my GoPro which was so kind and the videos were great!

Beginner 2hr lesson Had my first surf lesson with Nick he was great told us everything we needed to know and stayed in the water for the 2 hours coaching. Everyone was stood up catching waves by the end Had a great day would definitely recommend

The best surf school in Newquay We have used the Fistral Beach Surf School for the last 5 years and my (now) 9 year old son has always really enjoyed his daily 1:1 coaching sessions with the friendly and professional instructors. In particular they went out of their way to accommodate our requests for specific instructors and lesson times. Most importantly they were constantly monitoring the weather and surf conditions and re-arranged lessons to their alternative venue (Tolcarne Beach) on a couple of occasions where the conditions at Fistral were unsuitable. The communications from the office staff were always prompt and courteous. The instructors took a genuine interest in always making sure our son was suitably challenged as his abilities progressed and we saw real improvements in his surfing skills. They also put a strong emphasis on safety and spend a lot of time explaining how different sea conditions can create potential dangers. But most of all they make learning to surf FUN!!! - our son always finished his lessons with a huge smile on his face, come rain, wind or shine. We highly recommend this school for beginners and improvers.

A super fun surf lesson from professionals My son (age 9) and I (age 39) had a fantastic surf lesson at Fistral. We had never been surfing before and by the end of the lesson we were both able to stand up and catch a wave. The instructors explained everything very carefully and demonstrated what we needed to do before we got in the sea. Then we had a go. It was so fun! The wetsuits were really warm too. We were given extra tips and advice in the sea about where to put our feet and when to start paddling. We thought the instructors were great! We will definitely be back for another lesson, wetsuit and board hire. Thank you :)

Beginner surf lesson We did the beginner surf lesson; me my daughter (13) and son (12). We loved it! Great instructor, helpful and patient! Definitely recommend.

Great school at fantastic beach Great lessons at an amazing beach, especially with young kids. We used 2 instructors on 2 different days and both of them were very good and attentive with young kids too
