As an on-call doctor, rather than respond to my urgent question she pretty much cut me off and told me to call back when the office opened in 1.5 hours. I didn't appreciate the impatience during a very stressful time - I have never asked for on-call assistance before, this experience was disheartening and less than professional. My regular GI doc at this practice is wonderful.

Dr. Lisa Higa has been my gastroenterologist for over 15 years. I appreciate her because of her warm personality and her positive bedside manner. She speaks with you before and after your procdure, and if you're feeling nervous, she has a way of putting you at ease. The staff at the facility are all nice and very helpful. I highly recommend her. Thank you, Dr. Higa!

The process of fasting all day and then spending all night drinking the solution and taking pills was exhausting.

Every step was exactly I was told. The whole thing went smoothly and painlessly.
The starting time was a bit delayed though.

I know I’m in the best care with Dr. Higa and her staff.

I only had a Zoom consult with Dr Higa, and she seemed great. Took lots of time to ask me questions, educate me and explain things. This would be 5- stars if it was only about Dr Higa. The receptionist or office person Marcela deserves a Zero-star rating. I spoke with her on the phone several times and she was always rude, short, condescending and just plain awful. It got to be so difficult to deal with her I switched to a different Gastroenterologist, Dr Singerman, who ultimately did my colonoscopy. He AND his staff were wonderful. I’d highly recommend all of them. Dr Higa would get better reviews and lose fewer patients if she got rid of Marcela!!

Dr. Higa is an excellent gastroenterologist. Her team is clear and prompt with instructions for the initial consult and preparation for procedure. Dr. Higa's bedside manner is excellent and she takes time to explain the rationale behind the procedures. 100% recommend!

Dr. Higa was terrific. Our pre-call answered all my questions, with the right mix of reassurance and information. The team at the facility worked well together and efficiently got me in and out. My only request would be for the written instructions to be clearer. It gives instructions to fill to a line on the Miralax cap, but the generic substitute I was given had no measuring line. Thew instructions were unclear about whether to continue taking the smaller doses of Miralax the morning before the procedure, or to wait until 7pm the evening before.

I had endoscopy and colonoscopy. The procedure went very smooth. No waiting and all staff were very courteous and professional. I would highly recommend it!

Great team that worked together for prep prior to endoscopy. Dr. Higa is the best! Good explanations before and after procedure. Knew what to expect after procedure.

I was impressed with Dr. Higa’s skill and caring manner. I really didn’t want to add a colonoscopy to my endoscopy but it was seamless. I felt fine and even better now that my issues are being treated.
