They told me everything that would happen and answered all my questions. They were friendly and professional. I was well sedated and remember nothing about the procedure, as it should be.

An unnecessary procedure - thankfully didn't go through with An unreasonable cancellation window. Is seven days a normal window? A large cancellation fee of four hundred dollars Be wary of the cancellation window, and make sure the procedure is actually necessary. Didn't listen, just a loss of money, and added stress.
I was hit with the trifecta 1) an unnecessary procedure (thankfully didn't go through with) 2) an unreasonable cancellation window (Is 7 days a normal window??) and 3) a large ($400?!) cancellation fee I went in for stomach sensitivities and was recommended a procedure looking for celiac, when I made very clear I don’t react poorly to gluten, but that is the one thing he focused in on. I later received a second opinion that agreed it felt premature, and not related to my concerns. After I cancelled I found a $400 bill in my mail because I wasn’t within the 7-day window. Kind of felt like they were getting a payout regardless, just from my initial appointment happening. Be wary of the cancellation window, and make sure the procedure is actually necessary.

The surgery center was clean with ample waiting area. Once inside, the staff were all very friendly, caring and professional. Everything was explained in detail and easy to understand. Dr. Hosseini was attentive to my knowing what procedure was going to be performed and who was performing the procedure. Overall, I had a very good experience.

Didn't Listen, Didn't Care, Incorrect Diagnosis
I explained my careful health choices, very healthful lifestyle and treatment preferences. Dr. Hosseini either didn't listen to me or ignored what I said. He assigned an incorrect diagnosis, Gastroespohageal Reflux Disease, without corresponding symptomatic history or confirming diagnostic tests. He suggested I begin treatment for this condition, which I do not have. He did correctly diagnose my chief complaint but did not mention dietary modification - the current recommended first line treatment for my condition and my preferred first line option. No one from his office called to schedule a follow up after the diagnostic procedure. I did call to schedule a follow up. I waited through a long hold and was treated badly by the office phone operator. After that I discontinued care with his practice and had my records forwarded to another health care provider. Based on Dr. Hosseini's exceeding poor care I do not understand why he continues to treat patients.
Excellent experience! It’s the second time I had a procedure at East Bay Endoscopy Center with Mehta Hosseini MD. He is an extraordinary physician, highly qualified with a very gentle approach to his patients. His team of nurses and anesthesiologist (Jordan Edberg, MD) is the best. Thank you very much to all! I found the staff to be very professional and kind. Dr Hosseini was very easy to speak with and very efficient. The anesthesiologist put me out quickly and completely. I don’t remember a thing and woke up with very little residual effects from the drugs. I felt listened to and heard by the people working there. I would certainly recommend them for your colonoscopy needs.
