I hired Champion Gate Motors to build, fit and motorise my gate. Communication was excellent in the run up to the quote (almost hourly) with follow ups and proactive messaging. Soon as I made the 50% down payment, professionalism "left the chat". I had a horrible experience. -Felix made but failed to honour 6 different appointments, with no calls or messages to reschedule. Complete lack of respect for your time. As a consultant paid by the hour, he cost me way more than it cost to fit the gate in lost man hours. -Ignoring calls and messages (only answering if you call from a number he is are unfamiliar with) -He eventually (3 weeks later) sent technicians to fit the gate in, but without the motor. They did a shoddy job, left my electric fence severed, left multiple short circuits in my wiring, and left the gate with no locking mechanism. -They have no known premises, so you cant find them. -They are dishonest (the technicians took my old gate with them, despite me expressly telling them I needed it for other uses). Ironically they left all the other construction rubble at my house. -Job was never completed and I had to engage another company to complete it. I would strongly advise against working with this company.

They bought parts and fixed my gate on 3 October and promised a 6 months guarantee. I paid R3800 for parts and labour. 3 days down the line the motor gate stopped working. Felix assessed and said he needed more parts and gave a quote for those parts for R1200, I gave him the money to source the parts and to date he has gone AWOL. When I call to follow up, I’m given excuses about how busy they are. I asked for a refund of my money and he’s gone silent

Pathetic after sales service. They ignore my calls, do not follow-up as promised and left the job incomplete.

A Fly by night installer don't use learnt a hard lesson.

Great work done. Went the extra mile. Worked until 8:30 to complete the job that should have taken 2 days. Worksmanship is very good.

At first no response. Got a competitor to fix my gate motor who ripped me off with R2000 over charge. Champion would never have done this (based on previous work done for me). Unfortunately they responded a bit late.

Didn't show up three days in a row after promising to come each day. Avoid

Very good service and very professional. Started raining during my gate motor Installation. Gentlemen stayed om premise and waited for the rain to pass to finish and test everything.

I would not recommend this business. The lie about the time that they will arrive and then they ignore your calls and messages. Also they are very rude and not professional at all. DO NOT do business with them.

THE WORST SERVICE EVER FOR MY FAMILY & I !!!! My family & I were stuck outside the gate for hours, had to make a plan to open the gate. I called and I was told technicians will come and they never came (Thursday). Called again (Friday & Sat) to be told they only work Mon-Fri not weekends. On Monday I called again, told the same thing technicians will be there after 3pm and they never came and when I call my calls are now not being answered. Today it’s Tuesday 25/10/2022 no help from them yet! WORST SERVICE EVER! It’s not even a year having this electronic gate.

Felix came to install a gate motor , a month later it was not working. When I asked him to come and repair he kept ignoring my calls, my husband’s call and our assistants calls. He is highly unreliable and a thief because we are stuck with a gate motor that doesn’t work and we have to get help elsewhere.
