Could not fault the service from GPS at any stage of the process. We were looking to purchase a car interstate and were able to contact the team at GPS after 5pm on a Sunday. They had an inspector on site and verbal appraisal provided to us before midday the next day. The report that followed (on the same day) was comprehensive at 21 pages and matched what had been conveyed verbally; there were no unexpected surprises. The communication felt clear, honest and personable at all times. There is always an element of risk when buying a used car (or any car for that matter) but GPS have provided us with peace of mind by providing a check that was as thorough as possible in the circumstances. If you are reading these reviews trying to decide whether to engage the services of GPS, I can assure you that my experience was entirely positive. Thank you to George, Steve and the team.

Probably one of the worst inspection company’s I could have gone too, way over priced, late to the job on arrival the worked was obnoxious and overall seemed greedy of his Job. They said the vehicle was in great working condition, purchased the vehicle 2-3 weeks later the engine started failing. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, and please use elsewhere.

Missed major faults that have been diagnosed by 2 separate mechanics. $16k of repairs to diff, transfer case and air con. Initially offered a refund but I am still waiting. No longer responding to my emails either. AVOID

330 dollars, two inspections and not one report! I feel I've been completely ripped off. I was given a phone call for both vehicles. The first I was told I'd get a 25 dollar refund as there wouldn't be a report written as I was told the vehicle had damage. The second, I was also called and told that the vehicle assessment would all be in the report. I never got a report. I've emailed them with my complaint but have had no response at all!

Stick with NRMA Unfortunately I have not been lucky to have had the same experience GPS. We purchased a car from a private dealer and invested the money in having it inspected by 'professionals' to ensure there were no major issues with the car. Prior to booking I was assured that the inspector being sent was experienced in 4WD Diesels and specifically that they had worked with Toyota foreign extended period of time. Sadly, within the first week of purchasing the car we were alerted to a tapping sound and notice that the transmission was incredibly clunky. I went straight back to George who was pretty much dismissive and a little condescending. After this we took it to three different mechanics who all clarified that the fuel injectors needed replacing, the transmission needed a major service and that the rear breaks needed to be replaced. George's response this is that they (the other mechanics) where all idiots I didn't know what they were talking about. Additionally he sent me a screenshot of a comment on a four-wheel drive forum. With an additional $5K bill on top of our $27 K top price purchase. (Thinking we had a car that was in great condition as the inspector had informed us that there was nothing majorly wrong with it and therefore was a great buy) it's understandable that we're not particularly happy. After going back to George again, informed me that I hadn't followed his initial advice on the first time I contacted him and had the injectors 'relearned' however we had been informed when inquiring about this that it would only master problem and that they definitely needed to be with replaced. After which he told me he had refunded me the service... He has not. George also said that he won't correspond with me anymore so is not following up on any refund. We're now going to Fair Trading as advised by a lawyer to see what can be sorted. My advice is think about using NRMA as they guarantee their inspections and will pay for any major works that weren't picked up. (Unfortunately advice I received too late)
