New Zealand Cafe is a cozy, hole-in-the-wall sushi joint. The atmosphere is simple and relaxed, and there are a few TVs to keep you entertained while you enjoy your meal.
The space is compact, so it has that intimate, local gem vibe, but due to the limited seating and tight layout, it might not be the best spot for kids. That said, the food more than makes up for it—every dish is prepared with care, and the quality is always outstanding.
New Zealand Cafe is a must-visit if you’re looking for a no-frills sushi spot with amazing food!

Great use of a small space to offer a cozy yet airy place to have great sushi at a good price. I ate brunch on a weekday, no issues, the sushi (Atlantic Roll) was great and the seaweed salad was as well.

We stopped here since Reddit recommended and they did not disappoint! Some of the best sushi we’ve ever had. We got the Atlantic roll (our favorite), spicy dragon roll, wasabi salmon roll, and spicy scallop.

My go-to sushi place for as long as I can remember! Best sushi for the price in Charlotte, and the staff and owners and just the best! Do yourself a favor and go!

New Zealand Cafe has a wonderful family friendly atmosphere (it's also good for a date), and consistently high food and service quality.
Highly recommended, especially if you love sushi or bento.

Very very good sushi restaurant and hidden gem! For the money and quality, this place is definitely one of the better sushi restaurants surrounding the Charlotte area.
