Really fabulous experience this afternoon, first time in the salon and I’m absolutely delighted with my cut, shortest I’ve ever gone and Aimee did a wonderful job👍 Very friendly and welcoming environment, great cut, great value and even my husband, not always the most observant individual, said “your hair looks great” 😂🤣See you next time…already booked!!!

Last week, I visited Jack @ Ivy to sit as a model for Aimee, who was just finishing her training by Graeme and Jackie. Over the last 27 years I have been enjoying excellent haircuts by Graeme and later on also the fantastic colouring , specifically suitable for me, by Jackie. They are a Team you do not find anywhere else! I have followed them wherever they have moved. The experience last Saturday, was extraordinary; to see Graeme as a teacher, how he patiently guided Aimee’s every move, to finish with a perfect, and I know, for her, a new hair style, which dates back to the 70s. To be able to do a brilliant hair cut is one thing, but to teach it to someone else is another. Aimee, you are a star! Congratulation to both of you. Aimee also did may colouring, under Jackie’s supervision, equally perfect. And, totally unexpectedly, for my husband, who never before had his hear cut by Jack @ Ivy, he now has the most perfect one. He also enjoyed to see Graeme’s teaching, as he passed on, step by step, the craftsmanship of a quality haircut to Aimee. We both had a wonderful day and will be back - soon! Inka Sveidqvist

Today I had highlights and a colour complimentary tone to lift my greying hair. The result was spectacular! The warm highlights matched my skin tone, giving me a softer, younger, stylish look. It had been my intention to allow my naturally greying hair to grow in naturally but nature was greying the front hairs at greater speed than the back hair which looked odd. Aimee took photos, perhaps she will add them. Aimee and her experienced trainer were excellent at explaining my options and how my hair would look growing out. This is important for a woman transitioning to grey hair. Aimee has almost completed her training and I am confident in her ability. I will be happy to book Aimee as my regular hairdresser. Well done Aimee, thank you!

Visited the salon today as a model for Aimee for a short cut and blow dry - great experience. Delighted with my new shorter style. Aimee was very calm and confident, and trainer Graeme explained the different techniques very clearly and patiently. Excellent service, I've already booked a return visit. And Stan is just lovely!

I have a fear of getting my hair cut. But I felt relaxed. So friendly, welcoming with me and an excellent cut.

Wow! Spent an afternoon in Jack & Ivy to get a cut and blow dry. I worried that my very curly hair would be daunting for Abby Renton but that couldn’t be any further from the truth. Abby who is finishing her training was being mentored. Wow! what a wonderful cut & blowdry. My hair looks so healthy and cut modern and easier to manage. Couldn’t speak more highly of this salon. Graeme did an excellent job of styling my hair yesterday and today I saw several friends whilst out shopping and they all commented on how good my hair looked. I am really pleased with the new look and will definitely return there.

I recently visited this salon and was greeted by Holly, who was my hairdresser for my appointment. She was very professional and aasked me all the relevant questions regarding what I wanted done etc. and because she is a recent graduate, she is only just beginning to learn how to do Gents hair and I applaud her. Never have I felt so at ease with the process of getting my hair cut, and she was very friendly asking me about my day and how I was coping with the current restrictions due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Holly is an amazing hairdresser and I can't thank her enough for my amazing hair cut (I feel more human now and look less like a mop, seriously.) If you are looking for someone with the full package, and someone who can make you feel at ease then Holly is definitely your girl. Cannot recommend her enough. Thank you once again Holly for the 5 star service you provided. You really are an asset to the salon.
