Very disappointed with the food.

One of my family’s favorite spots. My daughters just won’t get tired of it!

Buffalo Mac n cheese was incredibly tastee!

Food was good. Service was great.

The service workers were so fast and friendly. The food was huge portions, and fun place for bdays.

PUT THE PATTY MELT BACK ON THE TEXAS TOAST! YOU AIN’T SOUTHERN WITH A BRIOCHE BUN PARTNER! COME ON

Edit Nov 2024: I'm on a visit back home and JP was on the list of "must haves" while I'm here. Sad to say it was the 3rd time in the last year (went 2x before I moved out of the country), where the food was cold and lacking flavor. Not sure what's up with them as it wasn't even a busy weekend night. I really like this place and was hoping something had improved. -----old---- Good ol' southern comfort food! So incredibly delicious and the pickles are truly divine. I had the hot chicken biscuit "sandwich" which was absolutely delicious and enormous (couldn't finish it all but got close). It comes with cheese grits which on their own are not something to write home about (kinda bland) but as a vehicle for a chicken-pickle-buscuit-hotgravy bite they were perfect. I would say some of their stuff is precooked to the point that we ordered and 5 mins later food was out. So, be mindful of that. Still tasted fresh though. Friday night is wild and I imagine Saturday is probable same-same.

NYC - heard the hype, saw the hype online, finally went. I think it's okay. Of course I gotta order their signature fried chicken and pickles. I tried both and wasn't impressed. I had a lot of fried chicken that's better than this elsewhere. The batter was OK and the chicken wasn't juicy enough. The pickles weren't crunchy enough. The best pickle I had was actually at the cafeteria of my former workplace. I had a lot of expectations given this place specializes in pickles... It was a pretty big restaurant with one or two long communal tables at the back, where my family and I were sitting at. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the vibe and the service of the restaurant.

My wife and I drove into NYC just to go to Jacob’s Pickles and they didn’t disappoint! We started with pickled veggies and the carrots and beets were the standout. We ordered the Honey Chicken and Pickles sandwich. It was huge! There was a pile of pickles on top that hid two massive pieces of chicken. The Classic Mac and Cheese was also delicious. We split both and took some home. It was crowded inside but we didn’t feel neglected or anything. We were close to the tables on either side of us but I assume that’s normal for a restaurant in NYC. We will definitely return!

Best shrimp and grits and fried pickles were amazing as well

Portions are huge, but I can't recommend this spot enough. The okra and honey chicken are fire.

I've been tasting everything on the menu, my favorite so far is the turkey leg dinner. It's amazing! The turkey leg collapsed as soon as my fork touched it. It tastes like it was braised in wine. Delicious. The stuffing made from their rosemary biscuits is delightful. I changed my Thanksgiving dinner menu after having this meal. I wish it was sold at the Norwalk location. Please offer the turkey leg dinner in Norwalk.

Connor O. was a terrible server. I didn’t like the green tea because it was scented with Jasmine and sent it back. Apparently Connor O. didn’t like that I didn’t like the tea options and never came back to our table. He went to every other table in his section and asked how their food was doing and if they needed anything. We had to utilize his manager and other staff to get what we needed. When he did come back he came with an attitude. I said “you never came back” he responded with “after the tea” clearly knowing that he never came back to our table. Over all terrible service. The food is good just don’t have Connor O. as your server.
