What a oasis, Dave has it all figured out for guests I really liked the endless pool that has the BEST view in nosara no doubt. All the food was great, clean room with good ac and Internet. Dave also coached me surfing there and went through getting me better. My wife loved the yoga studio elevated on top of the mountain it's ridiculously nice. Highly recommend!

I recently stayed at Jungle’s Edge in Nosara, Costa Rica, and it was fantastic! The staff was incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. It was a welcoming experience. The rooms are very good and clean, the area is very beautiful, surrounded by trees and nature. The restaurant is very cozy and spacious, the food is the best thing I can highlight about the hotel, it is incredibly good. I did a couple of Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu sessions and they were very good, besides it was my first time, Henrique as a coach is incredible. I recommend it for anyone who may want to vacation while working remotely and at the same time maintain their physical activity by training.

We had a great time, super friendly and professional staff, you have all you need in one place, if you´re not looking for luxury but like comfort, it´s a great option!

Amazing- would stay here again! The team was fantastic and helpful, the owner gave us info on the surrounding area and the whatsapp to a tuktuk driver for fair prices. The classes were fun, interesting, and as a beginner I felt challenged but that the class catered to all levels. The PIZZZA is AMAZING.

The resort itself is great, clean, great bed, great shower, but we were scammed and charged and all the prices were switched up on us. The owner played his words and the employees played tricks on our groups to get money. Very cute dog though. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SCAMMED!!!!!!

Great price for the area, solid location to get to everything (owner also gave us a contact for some local tuktuk drivers which was nice). Their pizza is really good, large portions, and inexpensive. Also a fun concept to have the dojo and rooms together. The owners and employees are also very nice and seem genuinely happy to be there and help the guests!

If you are looking for a place to go to reset, Jungle’s Edge is a must. They have everything you need - a variety of rooms for each budget, wide range of food (including pizza night, my favourite!), fresh smoothies in the morning, training classes for all levels. I really enjoyed being able to train in a few different classes a day - perfect start to the new year to get into shape! Close to the most beautiful beaches for surfing and sunbathing too. I’ll definitely be back!

I went here as part of the Muay Thai Vacations trip. This is going to be two reviews in one. First, Jungle's Edge itself is a nice, but spartan facility about a 15 minute jog from the beach. I recommend only booking a room with AC and hot water. After a hard day of sweating, your body will thank you for the cooldown and hot shower. You work too hard to glamp. The food is surprisingly good, with everything freshly made and a brand new dish every meal. The martial arts facilities are all outdoors, so be prepared to sweat. There are fans in the gym space but nothing helps in that noon sun. It's like a classic Muay Thai experience in that sense. So five stars for Jungle's Edge. For the Muay Thai vacations, it was a realization of all of my worst fears. You see the social media posts about it and you get excited thinking you're going to train with Sean Fagan himself. Then when you arrive you get a WhatsApp message saying he can't make it because his dog is sick or this and that. And the four trainers who were supposed to be there are suddenly two trainers to try to give personalized instruction to 30 people. The sessions were all very very basic, the kind of thing you could take at your home Muay Thai gym. If you're new to Muay Thai, maybe that's fine. But for the money paid, if you're a more experienced practitioner you're going to feel a little disappointed that you're really just going through the basic motions. Interestingly, there was simultaneously a group there who booked a Muay Thai experience directly with Jungle's Edge. Not only did they pay almost $1000 less, but the instructor to student ratio was one instructor for four students, with a couple of classes being 1:1. With a ratio that low they were able to tailor the lessons better to the experience level of the people there and there was much more pad and bag time in their version of it. If you're an experienced practitioner, you know pad work is some of the most important work you can do to develop. In five days, we only got 60 seconds of pad work because the ratio couldn't support any more time than that. We chatted with the direct book guests during dinner and it became immediately clear that a lot of chatter emerging from within Muay Thai circles is that it's a far better value to skip the marketing pitch and book directly with Jungle's Edge instead of Sean's page. You may not get Sean Fagan himself that way, but we didn't get him anyway and apparently this isn't the first time this has happened. When some people from my group complained about it, Sean's team wrote back in legalese that there's no promise or expectation that Sean himself would appear. If that's the case, what did we pay a premium for? Very very disappointing.

Awesome place! Feels like you’re in a remote environment but then you also have the continence of the nearby town and restaurants as well. Staff were really friendly, the martial arts was great for all levels and then you’ve got some beautiful beaches nearby for surfing and/or relaxing. Wish we could have stayed longer than a week.

Excellent food, location, training and staff. Love it here and have been spending months every year for a long time!

Very irresponsible people. Do not go.

We wanted a budget 1 night stay and chose this place. We called the same day. We messaged and went to see the rooms. It was very relaxed billing, I had to ask for a receipt to prove I paid in cash, $80 USD. It's just outside of town, and up a very small dirt road with many pot holes, so be prepared. We had jungle room 10. We stayed in November, low season and we didn't see many people there. It was a small bedroom. Soft springy double bed with lovely duvet, but bad smelling pillows. Fan, AC, small fridge. No TV, hair dryer, nor safe. Medium size bathroom and there was a cockroach in the shower, yuck, but I guess we are on the jungle's edge, but there were window screens, so it must've come in through the main door or gaps on the gaps. Very little counter space for toiletries. There is a rooftop pool, but you have to walk up the stairs. We saw the gym, dojo, and a door labeled cold plunge. We saw a big restaurant, but we didn't eat there. I don't think I'll stay there again. But it might have more ambiance during high season, and maybe if you're into the dojo or surf school.

It is great for the price! Excellent service, friendly staff. The place is beautiful and it has so many options to choose. The experience was perfect for the name ... It really feels like being in the jungle. Love it, love it. We'll be back as soon as we can. Thanks David for an excellent hospitality. Fernando & Michelle

Opting for the jungle hut, with no AC or hot water but Wi-Fi access, immersed us in a unique and captivating atmosphere. Despite the occasional appearance of bug or two, the overall experience in the hut was absolutely amazing. Jungle's Edge proved to be a safe haven, and the delicious food added an extra layer of delight to our stay. Convenient beach transportation made exploring the nearby shores a breeze. The highlight, however, was the exceptional training in jiu-jitsu and muay thai. The instructor delivered top-notch sessions, contributing to a memorable and enriching family experience. We left Jungle's Edge not just with wonderful memories but with personal growth that made our trip truly special. Highly recommend for those seeking a unique blend of adventure, tranquility, and personal development.
