Hello. We wanted to share and warn about our recent experience with Ken Griffin Plumbing Services. We have used them two times in the past and then again recently. The quality of the actual work has been good but this time… We feel ripped off. We had a pedestal bathroom sink and a replacement kitchen faucet installed. The office person told me they could not give me any quotes over the phone. They charge to have an installer just show up and give a quote. We had good use of this company before and went ahead and scheduled them. The installer charged over $1300. We suspected it was high, but the plumber was at our home, ready to go and we trusted this plumbing company. My husband called Ken Griffin Plumbing back afterwards, complaining about the how high the charge was. He was told that they have standard fees and defended the charge. It tells me that they could’ve given us a quote upfront but didn’t. She agreed to give a 10% discount. My husband called several other plumbers and all the quotes were between $500 and $600! He has called several times to try to catch the service manager, and left messages. The service manager is never in and does not return our calls. So we no longer recommend Ken Griffin Plumbing especially if they won’t give you a free estimate upfront. Shame on us for not calling other plumbers before scheduling them. We won’t do that again and surely will not call Ken Griffin Plumbing Services.

We had an excellent experience with Ken Griffin Plumbing today. Ben and Josh did an great job of diagnosing the issue, explaining our options, and then making the repair we needed (at what we thought was a fair price). They are definitely our go-to company!

I would give 10 stars if that were an option! I had a plumbing emergency today and Ken Griffin had Lance available to come out very quickly the same day. He was extremely courteous, professional, and skilled. I truly appreciated his time today, and would highly recommend him and the company to anyone.

I love Ken Griffin Plumbing. Today, Ben and Josh came to look at my leaking hot water heater. They diagnosed the problem (advanced old age), got rid of the ancient heater, and bought and installed a new heater in less than 3 hours. They could not have done a better job. The price was well below what I expected. Ken Griffin will always be my go-to plumber.

We used Ken Griffin Plumbing services more than 10 years, it used to be good. But recently, the service is not good anymore. They added the wrong media for the well filter, the price is more than doubled for the same service compared with 2022. Not sure what happened with them, anyone know if they changed the ownership or not?

My family has used Ken Griffin Plumbing Services for the past 7 years. We have always had a positive experience. Today, we had problems with a basement extractor pump, which Ben Bidas and Joshua Staruk repaired for us. Curtis, their manager, stopped by because the area of the repair is part of a future plumbing project. Ben talked me through the repair and the invoicing which I appreciated. The team was knowledgable, professional, and pleasant to work with.

I needed a water heater replaced and a bathtub drain fixed before a new tenant moved into my rental. Ken Griffin plumbing returned my call and quickly setup a service date. Ben Bidas was the assigned plumber on the job. Ben was kind, courteous, and had great communication. He took the time to explain exactly what he was doing. Next time I have a plumbing issue, I’m going to call Ken Griffin and ask for Ben!

We had a leak in our ceiling and called for emergency service. Our technician John Actis arrived very promptly and was very knowledgeable. We appreciated that he talked us through each step of the way as he was trying to figure out the source of the problem. He even suggested ways to help us troubleshoot any potential future issues. Rates were reasonable, even for emergency service on a weekend. Grateful to John for being so efficient and professional!

We reached out to Ken Griffin Plumbing because they were highly recommended to us to fix a water line issue. The tech came out on Friday and said that we would receive an estimate by the end of that day. Nothing. I called on Monday and the CS rep said that the tech had to review with the manager and that we would have a quote by that evening or at the latest, Tuesday morning. Still nothing. We requested estimates from 3 compsnies and 2 of the 3 responded timely as committed. Consider our business a missed opportunity for Ken Griffin Plumbing. If you have a plumbing issue that requires some since of urgency, this is not the company to call.

We called Griffin for help with a leaky outside faucet. Derrick Wallace resolved the problem, explained what was causing the issue, and suggested ways to protect the house from leaking in the future. He was professionally personable and patient with our questions. We think the fee was fair for today's market considering the time involved and the quality of service. We will call for our next plumbing issue.

I'm a long time customer. I've used KGPS for both water and gas plumbing issues. They always do the job right. When they fix a problem it stays fixed.

We have used Ken Griffin Plumbing for about 30 years and have always been extremely happy … until today. Our kitchen sink drain was clogged and we scheduled a service call. The website specifies a range of $179-$290 to clear the drain. The plumber told me it would be $500. They included a $130 “diagnostic” charge, although it took about 1 minute for the diagnosis. The entire visit was about an hour and a half. I was very happy with the technician. I called the office to ask about the charge and they told me that the company had been sold and the prices on the website no longer apply. HomeServe is the new owner. Their prices have gone up significantly with the new owner. It is unethical to lead people to believe that the advertised website charges are applicable when the new company has no intention of honoring them. We are so sorry that Ken and Kathy sold the business. 08/04/23 - It is only fair that I modify this review from a few days ago. I received a call from Ken Griffith Plumbing and they decided to refund the $135 diagnostic fee (since I called with a clogged drain issue so they did not need to diagnose that the drain was clogged) and provided a courtesy discount to bring the charge closer to the website advertised range. I appreciate the follow-up and the refund. Hopefully they will adjust the website since the business was sold in April 2022 and it still reflects the company as a family-owned business (which it no longer is) and it reflects pricing that is significantly out of date.
